Website Design for Accountants in Coffs Harbour

Websites for tax agents, BAS agents and accounting practices from Woolgoolga to Sawtell. Made for a client list that runs from blueberry growers hiring pickers each season to retirees managing their super, and for readers who'd rather ring than fill in a form.

What a Coffs Coast practice's website should do

A practice here might spend Monday on a berry farm's payroll, Tuesday with a couple in their seventies about their pension and investments, and Wednesday on a café owner's BAS after a busy school holidays. The site has to work for all three, and for readers who'll look at it on a phone with their glasses on.

  • A page for growers and farm employers

Berries make up most of the region's horticulture. If you look after growers, describe the work you do in your words: primary producer returns, payroll for a season's pickers, GST on sales through a co-op or marketer. Growers comparing practices want to see that farm work is normal for you, not an exception.

  • Seasonal workers and the WHM rules

Many growers take on working holiday makers at peak season. If you help farms register as working holiday maker employers and set up payroll correctly, say so on the employer page and link to the ATO's own explanation rather than restating rates that can change.

  • Text older clients can read

Coffs Harbour's population is older than the state's. Larger type, strong contrast, short paragraphs and a phone number that's tappable on every page help a retired client as much as any feature. We build that in from the start, rather than shrinking everything to fit more on the screen.

  • Retirement and super work, named plainly

If you help with self-managed super funds, moving into retirement, or the tax side of selling the family home, give it its own section. People in their sixties often search for exactly those words, and a heading that matches is how they recognise the right firm.

  • Tourism and hospitality businesses

Accommodation, cafés and tour operators have quiet and busy months, casual staff and cash flow that swings with the school holidays. A business services page that mentions payroll for casual staff, cash flow planning and BAS for seasonal trade speaks to them directly.

  • Languages your team speaks

Punjabi is used at home by more Coffs Harbour residents than any other language besides English. If someone in your practice speaks Punjabi, or any other language, a line on the contact page saying so can matter more to a family than anything else on the site.

Accounting on the Coffs Coast: farms, retirees and a seasonal economy

National rules first. Tax and BAS agents on the Coffs Coast register with the Tax Practitioners Board under the same rules as everywhere else. Our Sydney accountants page covers the registered tax practitioner symbol and advertising standards, and our Perth page explains the client information that registered practitioners must publish. The rest of this section is about Coffs Harbour.

Berries and the families who grow them. A report by the Centre for International Economics, commissioned by Horticulture Australia Ltd and covered by FreshPlaza in 2023, found berries make up 80% of horticultural production in the Coffs region and that more than half of Australia's berries are grown in the Coffs area. SBS reported in 2017 that the Sikh community around Woolgoolga ran most of the area's banana plantations for generations before many farmers moved into blueberries, and that growers in one local co-operative together employ more than 3,000 pickers a year, taking on backpackers and working holiday visa holders at peak season. The ATO's rules for those workers matter to an employer: a farm registered with the ATO as a working holiday maker employer withholds tax at 15% on the first $45,000 a worker earns, while an unregistered employer must withhold at higher foreign resident rates. A practice that handles this work has something specific to say on its employer page.

An older, settled population. At the 2021 Census the City of Coffs Harbour had 78,759 residents and a median age of 44, against 39 across NSW. Just over 23% of residents were 65 or older, compared with about 18% statewide, and Punjabi was used at home by 1,808 people, 2.3% of residents against 0.7% across the state. For a practice, that points to retirement and super work, estate questions and clients who value a phone call, and to a site that's easy to read on a small screen.

Towns, councils and the weather. Clients search by their own town: Woolgoolga, Corindi Beach, Emerald Beach and Sapphire Beach up the coast; the city and the Jetty in the middle; Sawtell, Toormina, Boambee East and Bonville to the south. Bellingen Shire and the Nambucca Valley are separate councils, so name Urunga, Bellingen or Macksville if you serve them. Severe weather and flooding from 18 May 2025 was declared a major disaster for the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment in Coffs Harbour, Bellingen and Nambucca Valley among other council areas. The ATO says it may automatically pause correspondence or defer payments in areas hit by major disasters, so a site that can carry a short notice linking to that guidance is useful here.

Working with us. We're an Adelaide team at Ste 3/110 Hutt St, and Coffs Coast projects run by phone and email. We haven't built a site for a Coffs Harbour business yet; our New South Wales clients include businesses in Sydney, Lake Macquarie and the Bega Valley. The two sites below were picked for features that suit a practice here.

Sites built for older readers and for booking a first meeting

Golden Years Aged Care Support was built for older readers and their families, and Resolve Forward is a professional practice that takes bookings and gathers background online. Neither is an accounting firm. The review below is from an accounting firm we've built a website for.

Home page of the Golden Years Aged Care Support website

Golden Years Aged Care Support

Home & care services · Northern Adelaide

In-home support for older people in Northern Adelaide. The site uses large readable text, explains nine services on one page, has tap-to-call on every page and an enquiry form with a referral option. A Coffs practice with many retired clients can borrow the readable layout and the separate path for referrals from financial planners or solicitors.

Home page of the Resolve Forward website

Resolve Forward

Professional services · Sydney

A Sydney family law dispute resolution practice. Six service pages each have their own FAQs, priced packages link to online booking, and a five-step intake form collects background first. A practice can use the same intake approach to learn whether a new client is a grower, a retiree or a business owner before the first appointment.

“Salem was fantastic to work with on our accounting firm’s website. From day one, he was professional, responsive…”

Questions from Coffs Harbour accountants

Should we mention working holiday makers on our site?

If you help farms with pickers on 417 or 462 visas, yes, on the page for employers. Say what you do, such as registering the business as a working holiday maker employer and setting up payroll, and link to the ATO's page for the current rates and thresholds instead of copying them.

Many of our clients are retired. What should change on the site?

Mostly the basics: bigger text, good contrast, plain headings, your phone number at the top of every page and an address with parking details. A section on retirement, super and estate work helps too. Online booking is useful for some clients, but keep the phone number just as prominent.

Can the site say we speak Punjabi?

Yes, if it's true. A line on the home and contact pages naming the languages your staff speak, and who speaks them, is enough. We can also add a short welcome in Punjabi script if you supply the wording, since we arrange your words rather than writing or translating them.

Should we list Bellingen and Nambucca towns?

Only the ones you actually serve. They're separate council areas, and people there search by their own town, so naming Urunga, Bellingen or Macksville helps those clients find you. Say whether you visit or work with them by phone, video and portal.

How do we work with an Adelaide team from Coffs Harbour?

Everything happens by phone and email. You send your words, photos and team details, we build a draft and send you a link, and you ask for changes until you're happy with it. Coffs is half an hour ahead of Adelaide all year, so office hours overlap almost completely.

Planning a website for your Coffs Coast practice?

Tell us the towns you cover, the clients you see most, whether that's growers, retirees or local businesses, and the languages your team speaks. We'll quote, build the draft, and you pay only once you've approved it.

We reply within 24 hours. Prefer email? info@webcraftstudio.com.au
