Website Design for Accountants on the Gold Coast

Websites for Gold Coast tax agents, BAS agents and accounting practices. If you audit body corporate accounts, prepare returns for apartment owners or look after clients over the border in Tweed Heads, each of those gets a clear place on the site, next to your TPB registration and an easy way to book a first appointment.

What a Gold Coast practice's website should cover

The ABS counted 83,266 businesses in the City of Gold Coast in June 2025. Construction was the biggest group at 15,355, followed by rental, hiring and real estate at 12,135. Put those next to the households who need a return each year and a practice here often serves readers with very different questions, so each group needs a section it can find quickly.

  • A strata page, if you audit schemes

Committee members and body corporate managers are a different audience from someone after a personal return. If you audit body corporate accounts or help committees with budgets and levies, a page of its own can list the kinds of schemes you take on, what you need from the manager and how far ahead of the AGM to get in touch.

  • A quote form that asks about the scheme

The number of lots and the regulation module (Standard, Accommodation, Commercial or Small Schemes) tell you a lot about a scheme before you quote. A form that asks for both, plus the financial year end and the manager's email, lets you come back with a fee instead of three rounds of questions.

  • Apartment owners as a client group

Owners who let a unit through booking platforms ask about records, deductible costs and the weeks the family used it themselves. If that's work you do, name it, and list what to bring to the first appointment: platform statements, levy notices and the booking calendar.

  • Tweed clients, named plainly

If you act for people in Tweed Heads, Kingscliff or Banora Point, say so on the home page and list the NSW matters you handle alongside the Queensland ones. A Tweed business owner shouldn't have to phone you to find out whether you deal with Revenue NSW.

  • Appointment times with the state named

From October to April, clocks in NSW are an hour ahead of the coast. If clients book online, use a booking tool that shows times in the visitor's own zone, or put a short note beside the button saying all times are Queensland time.

  • Your office, located properly

The city covers everything from the northern suburbs around Ormeau down to Coolangatta on the border. Give the suburb, the street, where to park and whether you also meet people by video, so a client in Pimpama and one in Currumbin can each judge whether you suit them.

Accounting on the Gold Coast: strata, holiday lets and the NSW border

The rules you already know. Tax and BAS agents on the coast register with the Tax Practitioners Board like those anywhere else, and the state taxes clients ask about, such as payroll tax, land tax and transfer duty, belong to the Queensland Revenue Office. Our page for Brisbane accountants covers both, including how the TPB's registered tax practitioner symbol has to be displayed. The rest of this section is about what's different here.

More strata schemes than Brisbane. At the end of June 2026, Titles Queensland's figures put 14,093 community titles schemes in the Gold Coast local government area: more than Brisbane City's 13,621 and roughly a quarter of the 54,355 across the state. Each has a body corporate, and the Queensland Government's guidance says that at every AGM the body corporate must decide about auditing its accounts. Unless owners pass a special resolution that the year's statement of accounts not be audited, an audit has to happen, and the auditor must be independent (not a committee member and not the body corporate manager) and have appropriate qualifications and experience. Specified two-lot schemes don't need an audit, and under the Small Schemes Module the audit motion isn't compulsory. For a practice that audits schemes, that's thousands of committees facing the same decision each year, and a page that explains your process gives them somewhere to start.

Platform income from short stays. Since 1 July 2023, platforms that facilitate short-term accommodation, such as holiday rentals, have had to report what their suppliers earn to the ATO under the Sharing Economy Reporting Regime. Reports go in twice a year, by 31 January and 31 July. So for owners who let through those platforms, the ATO has the platform's figures as well as the owner's return. If you prepare those returns, a page for holiday-let owners can say what records you'll ask for and link to the ATO's own guidance, without the site trying to give tax advice itself.

Clients on both sides of the border. Coolangatta and Tweed Heads sit either side of the state line, and many people on the coast came from the south: at the 2021 Census, about 54,700 Gold Coast residents aged five and over (9.2%) had lived in another state or territory five years earlier, about 33,400 of them in New South Wales. A business with people on both sides may deal with the QRO and Revenue NSW. Queensland measures its payroll tax threshold on an employer's annual Australian taxable wages, so staff on the NSW side count too, and land tax on property in Tweed Shire is a matter for Revenue NSW, not the QRO. Time is the other difference: NSW runs daylight saving from the first Sunday in October to the first Sunday in April, and Queensland doesn't.

Where you are, and where we are. Name the suburb you work from, whether that's Southport, Bundall, Robina, Varsity Lakes or Coomera, and the parts of the coast you see clients from. We're an Adelaide team at Ste 3/110 Hutt St and work with practices outside South Australia by phone and email, so nobody from our side visits your office. You send your services, registration details and photos of your people; we send back a draft link to review between appointments.

Two sites with features a practice can borrow

Neither of these is an accounting firm, but each has a feature that suits a Gold Coast practice: a quote form that shows a fee range, and fixed-price packages linked to online booking. We have also built a website for an accounting firm, and the review below comes from that client.

Home page of the Simple Engineers website

Simple Engineers

Professional services · Adelaide

Adelaide structural engineers working for homeowners and builders. Choose a service on their quote form and it shows an estimated fee range, and files can be attached. Change the services to strata audit, personal return and business return, add a question about the number of lots, and a body corporate manager gets an idea of your fee before writing to you. Four service pages and 16 articles sit behind the form.

Home page of the Resolve Forward website

Resolve Forward

Professional services · Sydney

A Sydney family law dispute resolution practice with six service pages and FAQs, priced packages that link to online booking, and a five-step intake form. A practice that sells a fixed-fee return for holiday-let owners, or a first planning meeting at a set price, can follow the same layout.

“Salem was fantastic to work with on our accounting firm’s website. From day one, he was professional, responsive…”

Questions from Gold Coast practices

Should our strata audit page show fees?

It can show a from-price or a scale by number of lots, if that's how you charge. If you'd rather quote each scheme, a form that asks for the lot count, the regulation module, the financial year end and the manager's contact details does most of the work. When your fees change, updating them is a text change covered by the $30 monthly hosting.

We act for clients in Tweed Heads. Should the site mention NSW?

Yes, if you do that work. A line on the home page and a short section on the services page saying you look after clients on both sides of the border, and which NSW matters you handle, answers the question a Tweed client would otherwise ring about. For the rules themselves we link to Revenue NSW and the Queensland Revenue Office rather than paraphrasing them.

Our online booking shows Queensland time. Will that confuse NSW clients?

Only between October and April, when NSW is on daylight saving and an hour ahead. If your booking tool can show times in the visitor's own time zone, we link to it as it is. If it can't, we put a clear note beside the booking button saying times are Queensland time.

Can holiday-let owners send their platform statements through the website?

We'd keep tax documents out of website forms. The site can list what to bring and link to the client portal you already use, so statements go there rather than into an email inbox. The enquiry form itself only asks for contact details and what the person needs help with.

You're in Adelaide. How does a Gold Coast project run?

By phone and email. We're an Adelaide (South Australia) web design team working with businesses Australia-wide, and our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. You send your words, registration details and team photos; we build a draft, you ask for as many changes as you like, and you pay once you approve it. We reply within 24 hours.
