Website Design for Builders on the Gold Coast

Websites for Gold Coast builders that separate your new homes, knockdown-rebuilds and renovations, show the licence behind each job, and let a client send drawings and site photos with the first enquiry.

What a Gold Coast builder's website needs

Building work on the Gold Coast covers very different jobs: first homes in the northern estates, rebuilds on canal blocks around Broadbeach Waters and Runaway Bay, acreage homes behind Mudgeeraba, and apartment renovations in towers along the beach. A client wants to see that you've done their kind of job before they look at anything else.

  • Projects sorted by setting, not just by date

Group finished jobs the way clients think about their own block: estate homes in Coomera and Pimpama, waterfront rebuilds, hinterland acreage, renovations near the beach. A family on a sloping block in the Tallebudgera Valley skips straight to the hillside builds and sees how you dealt with access and fall.

  • Licence details that match the QBCC register

Owners can look you up on the QBCC's licensee register, so the name in your footer should be the name the licence is held in, with the number and a line saying you're licensed under the QBCC Act. Your trading name goes beside it. If the two don't match, a careful client notices.

  • A clear line on jobs over the border

Tweed Shire starts where Coolangatta ends, and work on that side falls under New South Wales licensing. If you build in Tweed Heads or Kingscliff, show your NSW contractor licence as well as your QBCC licence. If you don't, say Queensland only, and save both of you a site visit.

  • Houses and apartments kept apart

If you renovate units in towers as well as houses, give each its own section. The QBCC's home warranty scheme doesn't cover work on buildings of more than three storeys, so the way you talk a house owner through insurance won't suit a unit owner, and body corporate rules add another layer to the job.

  • Award wins tied to the project

A win or finalist place in an industry award belongs on that project's write-up, with the award name, category and year, where a client reading about the build will see it, rather than in a strip of logos they scroll past.

  • A first question that sorts the enquiry

New build, knockdown-rebuild, extension or renovation? Then suburb, budget range, timing and uploads for plans, a survey or photos of the existing house. You can tell from the inbox which enquiries need a site visit this week and which are still at the dreaming stage.

Building on the Gold Coast: licensing, insurance and where the work is

On the Queensland side, builders hold a QBCC licence, and the QBCC treats a website the same as a newspaper ad or a ute door. The QBCC's advertising page asks for your licensed name, a statement that you're licensed under the QBCC Act and the licence number, easy to read; a trading name by itself will most likely fall short. Online service directories count as advertising too, so the details on your website, your Facebook page and any directory listing should agree. You can link to the QBCC's site, but its logo can't go on your own material.

Home warranty questions come up early with new-home clients. The Queensland Home Warranty Scheme covers an owner if a licensed contractor doesn't complete the job or fix defects, the premium is built into the contract price and collected as part of the deposit, and work on buildings of more than three storeys isn't insurable under it. The QBCC also warns owners not to pay more, or earlier, than the contract says, because that can affect their eligibility under the scheme. If you'd like a page on how your deposits and progress claims work, link it to the QBCC's guidance rather than paraphrasing the rules.

The City of Gold Coast is Queensland's second most populous council area after Brisbane. It borders Tweed Shire and New South Wales to the south, the Scenic Rim to the west, and Logan and Redland to the north. In the north, Pimpama station opened on 20 October 2025 between Ormeau and Coomera, the first new station on the Gold Coast in 16 years, and the state government said at the time that Hope Island and Merrimac stations were under construction. If estate homes or knockdown-rebuilds in those suburbs are your work, name them on the site.

South of the border the rules change. The NSW Government's guidance on building trade advertisements says you need a contractor licence to advertise residential building work above a set value, and that the licensee's name and licence number must appear in all advertising, the internet included. A builder working both sides of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads should show both licences, labelled by state.

We're an Adelaide team at Hutt St, and we build for Gold Coast builders by phone and email; nobody needs to visit your office or a site. Tell us which part of the coast you work, which build types you want more of and whether you cross into NSW, and send a set of project photos. We send a draft you can look at between site meetings, and you pay once you approve it.

Sites we've built for building work

Our portfolio doesn't include a Gold Coast builder yet. Bright Building & Renovations is a licensed builder in South Australia doing new homes, knockdown-rebuilds and renovations, including coastal work, and Simple Engineers shows how a form can take plans and photos.

Home page of the Bright Building & Renovations website

Bright Building & Renovations

Trades & construction · Adelaide, Adelaide Hills & Fleurieu

A South Australian builder covering renovations, extensions, new homes and knockdown-rebuilds from metropolitan Adelaide down to Victor Harbor. Its 30 pages include seven area pages, a guide to building on the Fleurieu coast, a projects page and a seven-step quote form, and each footer carries the licence number with a link to check it on the state register.

Simple Engineers

Professional services · Adelaide

Structural engineers in Adelaide who design retaining walls, slabs and stormwater for owners and builders. Their quote form shows a likely fee range and lets people attach plans, photos or documents, which is how we'd set up a builder's form for drawings, surveys and site photos.

“Salem walked us through everything, gave us a fixed quote so we knew exactly what we were paying, and turned around the build faster than we thought possible.”

Questions Gold Coast builders ask us

Do you build websites for Gold Coast builders from Adelaide?

Yes. We're an Adelaide (South Australia) web design team, and we work with businesses Australia-wide by phone and email. Our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. For a builder's site we need your project photos, licence details and a call about the work you want; everything after that, from the draft to your changes, happens by phone and email.

We also build in Tweed Heads. What should the site show?

Both licences, each labelled with its state, in the footer of every page: the QBCC licence with your licensed name and number, and your NSW contractor licence with the licensee's name and number. Then list the NSW suburbs you'll work in alongside the Queensland ones. If any of that is unclear for your situation, check with the QBCC and NSW Fair Trading.

Can we show our Master Builders awards and membership?

Yes. We add the award name, category and year to the project it was won for. For member or award logos, we use only the artwork Master Builders Queensland or HIA supplies you and keep to whatever conditions come with it.

Should the northern suburbs and the southern end get separate pages?

Only if the work differs. A builder doing estate homes around Coomera and renovations around Burleigh Heads can give each its own page on the 8-page site, with matching projects. If you build the same kind of home everywhere, one service-area section listing your suburbs does the job.

How do we add new projects after launch?

Send us photos and a few lines about each finished build. Adding them to your existing projects page is a text and image change, so it's covered by the $30 monthly hosting. A new page, say for a build type you've just started offering, is quoted first.
