Website Design for Plumbers

Websites for plumbers and gas fitters that make it easy to ring you about a burst pipe tonight, and to book you for next month's hot water job.

What a plumbing website needs to do

Plumbers get two kinds of customer: someone standing in a wet hallway who needs a number now, and someone planning a bathroom or a new hot water system who reads before they ring. A good plumbing site looks after both.

  • Tap-to-call at the top of every page

Your number as a button a customer can tap without scrolling. For an emergency job, that one tap is the whole website.

  • A quote form that's quick on a phone

Name, phone, suburb and a line about the job, with room for a photo of the leak or the old hot water unit. Short enough to fill in standing up.

  • Your licence and insurance in plain sight

Plumbing and gas work is licensed in every state, and careful customers check. We put your licence number and insurance details in the footer of every page.

  • The suburbs you actually cover

Named suburbs rather than "and surrounding areas", so customers can see you work near them and search engines have something specific to match.

  • A page for each job worth more

Hot water, gas fitting, blocked drains and bathroom renovations are searched for separately. On a 3-page or 8-page site, each can have its own page, photos and quote button.

  • A straight answer on how you charge

A call-out fee, a "from" price on common jobs, or one line saying you confirm the price before starting. Any of those removes a worry that stops people ringing.

  • Payment. No deposit. We build your draft first, you ask for as many changes as you like, and you pay once you approve it. If you don't go ahead, you owe nothing.
  • GST. WebCraft Studio isn't registered for GST, so no GST is added.
  • Timing. Most sites are live within 5–10 days of us getting your words and photos; bigger sites (up to 8 pages) take 2–3 weeks.
  • Hosting. After launch, hosting is $30 a month: hosting, security monitoring, backups, email support and unlimited text and image changes on your existing pages. New pages or features are quoted first. No contract, cancel anytime.
  • Domain and email. We register your domain in your name (about $20 a year), connect it to your site and set up your business email.

Questions plumbers ask us

Do plumbers need a website if most emergency calls come from Google Maps?

The map listing often wins the emergency tap, but planned work like hot water replacements, gas fitting and renovations usually starts with someone reading your site before they ring. It's also where people check your licence, your suburbs and photos of your work before they call.

Which package suits a plumbing business?

For a sole-trader plumber we usually suggest the one-page site at $399. If you want separate pages for hot water, gas or bathrooms, the 3-page site at $899 suits. Larger teams with several service lines are better suited to the 8-page site at $1,499.

Should I put my call-out fee on the website?

We suggest saying how you charge, even in one line, such as a call-out fee plus time and materials, confirmed before work starts. It's your decision, and the site says only what you approve.

Do you work with plumbers outside Adelaide?

We're an Adelaide (South Australia) web design team that works with businesses Australia-wide by phone and email. Current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. One of our plumbing clients, M.J. Debney Plumbing & Gas, is in Queensland.
