Website Design for Accountants & Bookkeepers

Websites for accounting firms, bookkeepers and tax agents that show clients who you help, what you do and how to take the first step.

What an accounting website needs to do

Choosing an accountant is a trust decision. A prospective client is checking that you're registered and real, that you work with people like them, and that the first conversation won't be awkward or expensive.

  • Registrations up front

Your Tax Practitioners Board registration as a tax or BAS agent, CPA Australia, CA ANZ or IPA membership, and your ABN, shown plainly near the top.

  • Who you help

Tradies, medical professionals, property investors, SMSFs, not-for-profits. Naming your clients' world does more than "we help all kinds of clients".

  • Services in plain English

Tax returns, BAS, bookkeeping, payroll, business advice and SMSF, each with a sentence on what's included.

  • Real people, real photos

Your team's names and faces instead of stock handshakes. People choose an accountant they feel they can talk to.

  • A small first step

A short enquiry form or a booking link for a first chat, with a line on what happens next.

  • Ready for tax time

Text and image changes on your existing pages are unlimited on our hosting, so updating deadlines, hours or tax-time notices costs nothing extra.

Accounting and professional services work

We've built for an accounting firm (their review is below), and our portfolio has two professional services sites with features accountants often ask about: fee ranges, file uploads, priced packages and online booking.

Home page of the Simple Engineers website

Simple Engineers

Structural engineering · Adelaide

Structural engineers designing retaining walls, concrete slabs and stormwater systems for homeowners and builders. We built a site with four service pages, 16 articles, a quote form with fee ranges and file uploads, and tap-to-call.

Home page of the Resolve Forward website

Resolve Forward

Family law dispute resolution · Sydney

Mediation, family dispute resolution, child-inclusive mediation, parenting coordination and arbitration. We built a site with six service pages and FAQs, priced packages linked to online booking, a five-step intake form, a contact form and newsletter signup.

“Salem was fantastic to work with on our accounting firm’s website. From day one, he was professional, responsive…”

What an accounting website costs

One page

$399

A sole practitioner or bookkeeper: services, registrations, who you help and an enquiry form on one page.

Our suggestion for most small firms

Up to 3 pages

$899

Separate pages for tax, BAS and bookkeeping, and business advice, plus an about page for your team.

Up to 8 pages

$1,499

For firms with several partners, service lines and client groups.

  • Payment. No deposit. We build your draft first, you ask for as many changes as you like, and you pay once you approve it. If you don't go ahead, you owe nothing.
  • GST. WebCraft Studio isn't registered for GST, so no GST is added.
  • Timing. Most sites are live within 5–10 days of us getting your words and photos; bigger sites (up to 8 pages) take 2–3 weeks.
  • Hosting. After launch, hosting is $30 a month: hosting, security monitoring, backups, email support and unlimited text and image changes on your existing pages. New pages or features are quoted first. No contract, cancel anytime.
  • Domain and email. We register your domain in your name (about $20 a year), connect it to your site and set up your business email.

Questions accountants ask us

Can clients upload documents through the website?

We can add file uploads to an enquiry form, as we did for Simple Engineers. For tax documents and other sensitive files, a dedicated client portal is usually the better place, and we can link to the one you already use.

Should an accounting firm show its fees?

A "from" price for common work, like an individual tax return or monthly bookkeeping, helps people decide to get in touch. For other work, explaining how you price does a similar job. You decide what goes on the site.

Can we update the site for tax time?

Yes. After launch, hosting is $30 a month: hosting, security monitoring, backups, email support and unlimited text and image changes on your existing pages. New pages or features are quoted first. No contract, cancel anytime. Tax-time notices, deadlines and changed hours are text changes, so they're covered.

Which package suits an accounting practice?

A sole practitioner or bookkeeper can start with the one-page site at $399. For most small firms we suggest the 3-page site at $899, so each main service has its own page. Firms with several partners are better suited to the 8-page site at $1,499.

Ready to talk about your practice's website?

Tell us who you work with and the services you want to promote. We'll send a quote, then build your draft before you pay anything.

We reply within 24 hours. Prefer email? info@webcraftstudio.com.au
