Website Design for Accountants in Perth

Websites for Perth tax agents, BAS agents and accounting practices. A prospective client can confirm your TPB registration, find the information the TPB expects you to give them, see who they'd be dealing with and book a first conversation.

What a Perth accounting practice's website should cover

A referral from a friend or another adviser often brings someone to your site, and what they find there decides whether they get in touch. They're checking that you're registered, that you work with people in their situation, and what the first step costs, usually on a phone between other things.

  • TPB registration a client can click through

Your registration number and whether you're a tax agent or BAS agent, with a direct link to your entry on the TPB Register. If you use the registered tax practitioner symbol, the TPB requires your registration number and type beside it, and supplies PNG and JPG versions for websites.

  • A client information page

Registered practitioners now have to tell current and prospective clients about the TPB Register, the TPB complaints process and their rights and obligations. The TPB lists a public website as part of one way to do it. We give your wording its own page, linked from every footer, so it's easy to point a client to.

  • Memberships and practising certificates

CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants ANZ or Institute of Public Accountants logos, used under each body's rules, plus a line on any public practice certificate you hold. Few clients know what these mean, so a sentence under each logo does more than the logo alone.

  • The WA work you know well

WA payroll tax registrations and annual reconciliations, returns for mining site employees, property investors, or contractors in construction. If these make up a real part of your client list, naming them tells a Perth reader you've seen their situation before.

  • People, not stock photos

Names, photos and a line on what each person looks after, so a business owner can see who'd handle their year-end and who answers the phone in February. Practices with a single principal benefit most, because the client is choosing that person.

  • A first step with Perth hours

A booking link or short callback form for a first conversation, your hours in Perth time, and one line on what the first meeting covers and whether there's a fee. If you see clients by video as well as in person, say so beside the address.

Accounting in Perth: national rules, WA work

One national register. Tax agents and BAS agents are registered by the Tax Practitioners Board under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009, so the rules for a West Perth practice are the same as for one in Sydney. Division 50 of the Act covers providing or advertising tax agent services while unregistered, as well as representing yourself as registered when you aren't. The TPB Register shows each practitioner's registration number, type, status and any conditions, and it's the first place a cautious client will check.

Keeping clients informed. Section 45 of the Tax Agent Services (Code of Professional Conduct) Determination 2024 requires registered practitioners to tell current and prospective clients that the TPB keeps a public register and how to search it, how to complain to the TPB, general information about their rights and obligations, and certain events from the past five years or conditions that limit their registration. It applied from 1 January 2025 for larger practices and from 1 July 2025 for those with 100 or fewer employees. The TPB's example of meeting the obligation pairs publishing the information on a public website you use to promote your services with your engagement letters and its client factsheet. The content is yours to settle with the TPB's guidance; our part is making the page easy to find.

Memberships are separate. CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants ANZ and the Institute of Public Accountants are professional bodies, not registration authorities, and each has its own rules. CPA Australia requires members offering public accounting services in Australia to hold a Public Practice Certificate or a Limited Public Practice Certificate, and CA ANZ requires resident members who are principals in a public practice to hold a Certificate of Public Practice. Showing both your TPB registration and your membership answers two different questions a client may have.

Work that's particular to WA. Payroll tax is a state tax, administered in WA by the Department of Treasury and Finance. The rate is 5.5% of WA taxable wages, and a tax-free threshold phases out as an employer's or group's Australian taxable wages rise from one million to 7.5 million dollars a year. Mining is another: the ATO publishes a separate guide to income, allowances and work-related deductions for mining site employees. If you help growing employers with payroll tax or look after a lot of mine-site workers, a section or page on it speaks directly to the people searching for that help.

Where you are, and where we are. If you see clients in person, name the office and the suburbs you draw from, whether that's the CBD and West Perth, Joondalup, Fremantle, Midland or Rockingham, and add parking or public transport notes. We're an Adelaide team and build for Perth practices by phone and email; Adelaide is 1.5 hours ahead of Perth, or 2.5 during South Australian daylight saving. We've built an accounting firm's website, and our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD.

Professional services websites we've built

We've built a website for an accounting firm, and the review below is about that project. The two sites shown here are professional services projects with features a practice can use: credentials set out properly, online booking, and a fee range shown before anyone submits a form.

Home page of the Dr Tabara Dione Coaching website

Dr Tabara Dione Coaching

Professional services · Melbourne

Confidential coaching for doctors, led by a Melbourne specialist anaesthetist. The site has an about page setting out her credentials and an online discovery-call booking linked from every page, the same pattern a practice can use for a first appointment.

“Salem was fantastic to work with on our accounting firm’s website. From day one, he was professional, responsive…”

Questions Perth accountants ask us

Do we have to put the TPB client information on our website?

The obligation in section 45 of the 2024 Code Determination is to tell clients in writing, and the TPB's example uses a public website together with engagement letters and its factsheet. It also says a practice without a promotional website can meet it through those other steps. If you have a site, a dedicated page makes the information easy to find. What it should say is a matter for the TPB's guidance; we build the page around your wording.

Can we use the registered tax practitioner symbol on the site?

Yes, if you've agreed to the TPB's terms and conditions of use and requested your symbol. Each symbol is unique to the registration, and when you display it you must include your registration number and type. The TPB provides PNG and JPG files for web use, and we place and size the one you send us.

Should a Perth practice mention payroll tax or FIFO clients?

If it's work you do and want more of, yes. A short section explaining when WA payroll tax applies and how you help, or that you prepare returns for mining site employees, matches what those people search for. We'd keep it factual, link to the WA Department of Treasury and Finance or the ATO for the rules, and leave out anything that sounds like a promised refund or saving.

Can clients upload their tax documents through the website?

An enquiry form can take attachments, as Simple Engineers' quote form does. For tax returns, payslips and statements, the client portal or secure document tool you already use is the better place, so we link to it from the menu and contact page rather than collecting sensitive files through a website form.

You're in Adelaide. How does a Perth practice work with you?

Everything runs by phone and email. You send your services, registrations and photos, we send a draft link, and you ask for changes until it's right, then pay once you approve it. Adelaide is 1.5 hours ahead of Perth (2.5 during South Australian daylight saving), and we reply within 24 hours.

Which package suits a Perth accounting practice?

A sole practitioner or BAS agent can start with the one-page site at $399. For most small practices we'd suggest the 3-page site at $899 because services and your people each get their own page. A firm with several partners or specialties such as SMSF and payroll tax is better suited to the 8-page site at $1,499.

Ready to talk about your Perth practice's website?
