Website Design for Builders in Perth

Websites for Perth home builders, renovators and extension builders. A homeowner can look through finished homes by suburb, check your WA registration, read how you handle home indemnity insurance, then send their plans with the enquiry.

What Perth homeowners look for before they call a builder

Signing with a builder in Perth often means a contract that runs for many months and takes a large share of a family's savings. Before anyone picks up the phone, they want to see that you're registered, that the insurance will be in place, how you build, and homes you've finished that look like the one they have in mind.

  • Registration details a client can match

The name your contractor registration is held under, the registration number and any trading name you use, set beside your phone number and repeated at the foot of each page. We link to Building and Energy's licence and registration search, so a client can confirm the registration is current before they sign anything.

  • Home indemnity insurance, explained once

The WA regulator tells owners not to pay a deposit until they've seen evidence of a home indemnity policy. A short paragraph saying you take out the policy in the owner's name, and hand over the certificate before any money changes hands, answers that question before the first meeting.

  • Double brick, frame, or both

Double brick has long been the main way new Perth homes are built, so buyers will ask about it. Say plainly what you build: double brick, timber or steel frame, or a framed upper floor over a brick ground floor. People comparing two quotes want to know whether they're comparing the same kind of house.

  • Finished homes captioned by type and suburb

"Single-storey new home, Baldivis" or "Second-storey addition, Scarborough" under a set of photos tells a visitor more than a caption-free gallery. Add the brief, a few stage photos from slab to handover and, if you're happy to share it, roughly how long the build took.

  • A quote form that asks about the block

Clients can attach PDF plans or a lot survey, choose new home, extension or renovation, and tell you the suburb, whether the block is vacant or has a house to knock down, and whether approvals have started. You can price from what arrives before booking a site visit.

  • Where to see a finished home

If you run a display home, give the address, opening hours and how to book a time outside them. If past clients are happy to show their house to serious buyers, say how to arrange it. Either one is reassurance a photo gallery can't give on its own.

Building in Perth: what a builder's website should reflect

Who has to be registered. In WA, building work that needs a building permit and is worth twenty thousand dollars or more (fifty thousand for Class 10a buildings such as garages, sheds and carports) has to be carried out by a registered building contractor, within the Building Services Board's area. The Board registers contractors and practitioners separately. Contractor registration is for the individuals, partnerships and companies that trade as builders; practitioner registration is for individuals, who can act as a nominated supervisor but can't provide building services directly to a homeowner. Building and Energy, a division of the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety, supports the Board and runs the public licence and registration search.

The number in your advertising. Section 8 of the Building Services (Registration) Act 2011 requires a building service contractor's advertising to include its registration number, and Building and Energy's guidance names website advertisements among its examples. Its industry bulletin on the rule also says people registered only as practitioners, or not registered at all, can't advertise using another contractor's number. Because contractor and practitioner registrations are separate, we show the registration the business itself holds, under the name it's registered in.

Home indemnity insurance. For home building work valued over twenty thousand dollars, WA builders must take out home indemnity insurance in the owner's name and give them the certificate before accepting a payment or starting work. It protects the owner against incomplete or faulty work if the builder dies, disappears or becomes insolvent, in most cases during construction and for six years after practical completion. Building and Energy names QBE as the main provider in WA and points owners to QBE's certificate register to confirm a policy. The regulator urges owners to check before paying a deposit, so your site should answer the question first.

Rules that are changing. In May 2026 the WA Government introduced the Building Services Legislation Amendment (Financial Oversight) Bill 2026, letting the Building Commissioner and the Building Services Board act earlier against registered contractors that can't show they meet financial requirements, and released a discussion paper on home building contract laws, with proposals that include changing how large a deposit a builder can take. If your site explains deposits or progress payments, keep it to a plain line with a link to Building and Energy's current guidance, so one text change keeps it accurate. Text changes on existing pages are covered by the $30 monthly hosting.

How Perth builds, and where. A February 2020 UDIA WA report on construction methods put double brick at about 76% of new WA homes in 2018, while timber framing dominates in the eastern states, and found framed construction's share was growing. Perth's metropolitan region covers 30 local governments, which the Metropolitan Region Scheme groups into a central area and four outer corridors: Joondalup and Wanneroo in the north-west; Swan, Kalamunda and Mundaring in the north-east; Armadale, Gosnells and Serpentine-Jarrahdale in the south-east; and Cockburn, Kwinana and Rockingham in the south-west. Mandurah sits outside the region, in Peel. Those corridors are a practical way to describe where you build. We're an Adelaide team and work with Perth by phone and email; Adelaide is 1.5 hours ahead of Perth, or 2.5 while South Australia is on daylight saving. Our builder client is in Adelaide, and we haven't built for a WA builder yet.

Builder and project websites we've built

Bright Building & Renovations is our builder client. It works under South Australian rules rather than WA's, but the parts a Perth builder needs are the same: credentials a client can check, clear service areas and a quote form that starts with the project. Tomi's site shows how we handle a large photo gallery on a phone.

Home page of the Bright Building & Renovations website

Bright Building & Renovations

Trades & construction · Adelaide, Adelaide Hills & Fleurieu

A licensed renovation and new-home builder working from metropolitan Adelaide to Victor Harbor. Its licence number and ABN each link to the public register where a client can check them, and the quote form opens by asking what the client is planning, from a bathroom to a knockdown-rebuild.

Home page of the Tomi's Bobcat and Excavation website

Tomi's Bobcat and Excavation

Trades & construction · South Pambula & Bega Valley

Bobcat and excavator operators in the Bega Valley who also build pools under licence. Their one-page site carries a 42-photo gallery that swipes on a phone, a testimonial carousel and a contact form with a thank-you page, the same ingredients a builder's projects section relies on.

“He listened to my feedback and made no hesitations to revise and adjust my website until we were completely happy with it.”

Questions Perth builders ask us

Which registration number goes on a Perth builder's website?

The registration number of the building contractor registration your business holds with the Building Services Board, shown with the name it's registered under and any trading name. Section 8 of the Building Services (Registration) Act 2011 puts that number in your advertising, websites included. Practitioner registrations are separate, so if you're also a registered practitioner, the contractor number is the one section 8 refers to.

Should the site say anything about home indemnity insurance?

We'd suggest one or two plain sentences: that you take out the policy in the owner's name and provide the certificate before taking a deposit or starting work, as WA law requires for home building work over twenty thousand dollars. We'll link to Building and Energy's page on it rather than paraphrase the detail, and if you need advice on your own obligations, the regulator or your insurer is the place to ask.

We build in double brick and in frame. How should the site handle both?

Give each method a short section explaining what you offer and why a client might choose it, and say on each project which method was used. On the 8-page site, each can have its own page with matching projects. Perth buyers who've only known double brick often want frame explained before they'll consider it.

You're in Adelaide. How does a Perth builder's website get made?

By phone and email. You send your registration details, build types, areas and project photos; we send a draft link you can open on your phone or show a business partner, and you ask for changes the same way. Adelaide is 1.5 hours ahead of Perth (2.5 during South Australian daylight saving), so most of your day overlaps with ours. We reply within 24 hours, and you only pay once you approve the draft.

Which package suits a Perth building company?

A builder who works mainly from referrals in one corridor can start with the one-page site at $399. Most building companies are better served by the 3-page site at $899 because it gives projects and your build process their own pages. If you offer new homes, extensions and renovations and want a page for each, plus display home details, the 8-page site at $1,499 fits.

Ready to start your Perth building website?

Send us your registration details, the kinds of homes you build and the corridors you work in, plus photos of a few finished jobs if you have them. We'll quote first, then build a draft you approve before you pay anything.
