How Much Does a Website Cost in Coffs Harbour?

A Coffs Harbour web designer publishes a $900 base build for up to five pages, with hosting at $500 a year, while an online marketplace puts Coffs rates level with Sydney's. Here's what those figures cover, what bookings and online stores add on the Coffs Coast, and how our fixed prices compare over five years.

Coffs Harbour website prices, as published

We found one Coffs Harbour designer with a price calculator on its site. A Coffs Coast business describes the range of sites it builds but gives prices on request, and a Newcastle studio has a page for Coffs Harbour clients. An online marketplace has Coffs Harbour estimates, and a national cost guide publishes Australia-wide bands but no Coffs page. Here's what they showed in October 2026:

The local calculator doesn't say whether GST is included, so check that before you put its figures next to anyone else's. Ours have no GST added because we aren't registered for it.

A regional city at Sydney rates?

The marketplace says web design in Coffs Harbour runs at about $1,200, above its national figure of $1,000, and puts that down to high regional demand. Every Coffs Harbour band it lists is the same as on its Sydney page, though, and Coffs is about 530 km north of Sydney. That points to an estimate set for New South Wales as a whole rather than one drawn from Coffs Coast quotes.

The local calculator tells a different story. A $900 base build for up to five pages is well under the marketplace's $1,440 floor for a small business site, and under half the bottom of the cost guide's national band. So on the Coffs Coast, the spread you'll see comes mostly from the kind of provider and the scope of the job, not from the town. A designer working from a calculator and a studio that runs workshops, writes your content and manages your search marketing are selling different things, even when both call it a website.

Hosting at $500 a year: the five-year sums

A build price is paid once; hosting is paid every year the site is online. The Coffs Harbour designer publishes both, which makes a straight comparison possible. Here's its base build next to our three-page and eight-page sites, counting our domain at about $20 a year:

Build plus hosting and domain, on published prices
OptionAfter 1 yearAfter 3 yearsAfter 5 years
Local base build, up to 5 pages ($900, plus $570 a year)$1,470$2,610$3,750
Our site of up to 3 pages ($899, plus about $380 a year)$1,279$2,039$2,799
Our site of up to 8 pages ($1,499, plus about $380 a year)$1,879$2,639$3,399

If you need four or five pages, the local base build and our eight-page site come out about level at three years, and ours is around $350 cheaper by year five. If three pages will do, ours is cheaper from the first year. The table doesn't show what changes cost: the calculator lists no maintenance or hourly rate, so ask. With us, the $30 a month covers hosting, security monitoring, backups, email support and unlimited text and image changes on your existing pages, with new pages or features quoted first and no contract. For the national picture, the cost guide puts running costs after launch at $75–$400 a month.

Visitor sites: booking requests, booking systems and the gap between them

Tourism has become an increasingly important industry for Coffs Harbour, which grew on timber and farming, and someone choosing a charter, a stay or a table from out of town can only judge you by what they find online. How much a booking feature costs depends on which of three things you mean:

  • A booking request form. The guest picks a date and sends their details, and you confirm by phone or email. It fits in any of our packages. Cape Fishing Charters, a South Australian client, takes booking and gift voucher requests this way on a one-page site.
  • A link to a platform you already use. If you take bookings through OpenTable, Fresha, Calendly or similar, we link it from every page. The platform's own subscription or commission stays with you.
  • Booking and payment built into the site. Live availability and payment at the time of booking. We quote this per job once we know how your rooms, tours or sessions work. The national cost guide puts sites with bookings in its $15,000–$40,000 integrated tier.

Ask any provider which of the three a quote includes. "Online bookings" on a proposal can mean any of them, and the price of each is very different.

Selling hinterland produce online

The Coffs hinterland has banana and blueberry plantations and farms growing macadamias, cucumbers and tomatoes, and some growers sell boxes, gift packs or value-added products direct. Store prices are where published estimates spread widest. The marketplace puts an online store at $4,800 to more than $42,000, and the cost guide's national band runs from $5,000 to more than $60,000, covering the store build, payments, shipping logic and how the products are organised. The Coffs Harbour designer offers online shops too, priced through its discovery chat.

Ours are fixed. The $799 store takes up to 25 products with one payment gateway and basic order management, which suits a farm gate range of a few box sizes and gift packs. The $1,999 store adds unlimited products, more payment options, customer accounts and advanced shipping, for growers posting interstate as well as delivering locally. Your payment provider charges its own fee on each sale. Our guide to online store costs compares a custom store with Shopify.

When the bypass opens: a site for passing trade

The NSW Government's October 2026 update on the 14 km Coffs Harbour bypass says crews are working to get the road open before the end of the year. Businesses on the current highway that have relied on drivers seeing their sign, such as motels, cafes and fuel stops, may find more of those customers look them up on a phone first.

That job doesn't need a big site. One page with your opening hours, a map, directions from the new road, a few photos and a phone number people can tap covers it, and that's our $399 site. If you want a page each for rooms, menus or services, the three-page site at $899 has room for them.

When a Coffs Coast provider is the better buy

A local designer can suit you better than we would. Choose one if:

  • you want to meet face to face, since we work with every client outside Adelaide by phone and email;
  • you need client logins, a portal or a custom tool tied to how you work, which the Coffs Harbour designer lists among its services;
  • you'd like your words written for you, because the content on our sites comes from you;
  • you want search marketing or advertising managed month to month after launch.

For a trade, a cafe, a clinic or a holiday let, a fast site with clear prices, real photos and a way to call or book usually does what's needed, and the build costs less than the bands above suggest.

Working with us from the Coffs Coast

We're an Adelaide team at Ste 3/110 Hutt St, and we work with Coffs Coast businesses by phone and email. We haven't built a site for a Coffs Harbour business yet. Our New South Wales clients include Phoenix Housekeeping, a cleaning business working across Lake Macquarie, Cessnock and the Central Coast, and Fiona Dixon, a voiceover artist whose single-page site plays four demo reels. Tony Bleijswijk said in his Google review: “He listened to my feedback and made no hesitations to revise and adjust my website until we were completely happy with it.”

You send your words and photos by email, we send a link to a working draft, and you ask for as many changes as you want. Most sites are live within 5–10 days of us getting your words and photos; bigger sites (up to 8 pages) take 2–3 weeks. There's no deposit: you pay once you approve the draft, and if you don't go ahead, you owe nothing.

Coffs Harbour website cost questions

How much does a website cost in Coffs Harbour?

A Coffs Harbour designer publishes a $900 base build for up to five pages, plus $500 a year for hosting and $70 for the domain. An online marketplace estimates $1,440–$7,200 for a 5 to 10 page small business site. Ours are $399, $899 or $1,499 by page count, with no GST added.

Are Coffs Harbour web designers cheaper than Sydney ones?

The published local price is lower than the Sydney estimates, but the marketplace we checked gives Coffs Harbour and Sydney identical figures, so don't assume a regional discount. Compare quotes for the same pages and features. We charge the same on the Coffs Coast as in Sydney or Adelaide.

What will hosting cost after launch?

With us, $30 a month, which covers hosting, security monitoring, backups, email support and unlimited text and image changes on your existing pages, plus about $20 a year for the domain. One Coffs Harbour designer charges $500 a year for hosting and $70 for the domain, and a Newcastle studio's hosting starts at $50 a month.

Can guests book a stay or a tour on our site?

Yes, in one of three ways: a booking request form in any package, a link to a booking platform you already use, or booking and payment built into the site, which we quote per job once we know how your bookings work.

Do we pay anything before we see the site?

No. We build the draft first, you ask for as many changes as you like, and you pay once you approve it. A national cost guide says a 30–50% deposit with staged payments is common, so check the terms on other quotes.

What does a redesign of an old site cost?

With us, the same as a new site: $399, $899 or $1,499 by page count. A national cost guide puts a redesign of a sound site you own at $2,000–$8,000. Your current site stays up while we build the new one as a draft, and we can reuse the words and photos worth keeping.
