Web Design for Rockingham Businesses

Fixed-price, hand-coded websites for businesses across the City of Rockingham, from the foreshore and Waikiki to Baldivis, Port Kennedy and Secret Harbour. Our Adelaide team builds each one with you by phone and email, at the prices we charge everywhere in Australia.

What Rockingham customers look for on your site

A Rockingham business can be serving three quite different groups in the same week: families in the newer estates around Baldivis and Secret Harbour, Navy personnel and contractors tied to Garden Island, and summer visitors heading for Penguin Island. Here is what each usually needs from a local website, and how our offer covers it.

  • Small business prices, fixed before we start

$399 for one page, $899 for up to three and $1,499 for up to eight. That is the whole price: no GST, because we aren't registered for it, no deposit, and no payment until you've approved the draft. A mobile dog groomer in Warnbro pays exactly what a firm in the Perth CBD pays.

  • Suburb lists that match how locals search

People search by suburb, not council, and Baldivis alone had more than twice as many residents as the Rockingham suburb at the 2021 census. If you work across Baldivis, Port Kennedy, Golden Bay and Singleton, we set those names out plainly, or give the busiest areas a page each, the way Bright Building's site handles the Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu.

  • Capability pages for the defence and marine supply chain

A machine shop, electrical contractor or cleaning company hoping for work around HMAS Stirling or Henderson is often checked by a procurement officer before anyone calls. We lay out a capability page from your own material (certifications, equipment, insurances, the kinds of jobs you take on) and add a quote form that accepts drawings and documents. We code these parts ourselves, so you deal with the web developer directly.

  • Bookings for tours, hire and lessons

Kayak hire on the Shoalwater side, surf lessons at Secret Harbour, a dive trip to the wrecks: visitors want to see times, prices and whether a spot is free. We build booking and payments into a site, quoted per job, or link the system you already run, such as Fresha, Calendly or Rezdy.

  • Rebuilding an old site at new-site prices

A redesign costs exactly what a new site costs. We rebuild beside your current site, carry your words and photos across, keep the domain in your name and switch over only once you sign off, so nobody lands on a half-finished page.

  • Online stores for foreshore shops and local makers

The $799 store takes up to 25 products with one payment gateway and basic order management. At $1,999 you get unlimited products, multiple payment options, customer accounts and advanced shipping. Both are hand-coded with no platform subscription; your payment provider charges its own fee on each sale.

  • A custom layout, not a theme

Each site is designed and hand-coded for the business it belongs to, with no Wix or WordPress theme underneath. That keeps pages light enough to load quickly on a phone at the beach, and once you've paid in full, the final design and files are yours.

Rockingham: Navy base, growth corridor and coastline

The City of Rockingham covers about 260 square kilometres and 37 km of coastline on Perth's southern edge. The City puts it about 40 km south-west of the Perth CBD. Mandurah line trains have stopped at Rockingham and Warnbro since the line opened in December 2007, and the state has committed to start building a station at Karnup in 2028. The 2021 census counted 135,678 people, and the City's own profile now gives a figure of around 160,000. Its suburbs are Baldivis, Cooloongup, East Rockingham, Garden Island, Golden Bay, Hillman, Karnup, Peron, Port Kennedy, Rockingham, Safety Bay, Secret Harbour, Shoalwater, Singleton, Waikiki and Warnbro, plus part of Keralup. Baldivis is the largest, with 37,697 residents in 2021 against 15,312 in the Rockingham suburb itself. Our Perth web design page covers the wider metro area; this page is about what's particular to Rockingham.

Rockingham is the Navy's home in the west. Fleet Base West is at HMAS Stirling on Garden Island, joined to the mainland by a 4.3 km causeway completed in 1973. The City describes it as the Royal Australian Navy's largest base, home to Anzac class frigates and Collins class submarines as well as some 70 other units. As part of AUKUS, the Australian Government will invest up to $8 billion over the next decade to expand the base, which the City expects to create around 3,000 direct jobs, and a rotational presence of UK and US nuclear-powered submarines is planned from as early as 2027. On 30 April 2025 the City and the Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce held a defence forum that included a session for local small and medium businesses on entering the defence supply chain. For a local supplier, the first person reading your website may well be a buyer checking what you can do before they shortlist you.

North of the city are the Kwinana industrial area and the Australian Marine Complex at Henderson, which the City puts about 25 km and under 20 minutes away. The WA Government's Westport program plans to move container trade from Fremantle to new port facilities in the Kwinana Outer Harbour, and in August 2026 a consortium was appointed to progress planning for the freight rail upgrades it needs. Council adopted an Economic Development Strategy 2025–2030 on 24 June 2025, and the City pitches the region to investors on advanced manufacturing, defence, energy decarbonisation, healthcare, mineral processing and tourism. Closer to home, Rockingham General Hospital runs an emergency department, and Murdoch University has a campus on Dixon Road focused on pathway programs for people preparing for university.

The coast brings the visitors. Penguin Island, 12.5 hectares and less than 700 m off Mersey Point, is a breeding site for little penguins: the ferry runs hourly from October to June, the island closes from June to October for breeding, and between 1 December and 28 February it can close for the whole day when the forecast reaches 35°C. The City's visitor pages send people kayaking in the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park, walking the coast at Point Peron/Boya Kaarla, diving the wrecks of the West Coast Dive Park, surfing at Secret Harbour and eating on the foreshore, and note that visitation peaks in summer. A tour, hire or hospitality site here has to show the season, the times and the way to book on the first screen of a phone, and keep closure notices current.

We're an Adelaide team and work with Rockingham businesses by phone and email; we don't fly over for meetings. We haven't built a site for a Western Australian client yet, so the examples below come from other states. If your customers stretch south into the Peel, our Mandurah tradies page covers that side, and our Fremantle page covers the port city to the north.

Sites we'd show a Rockingham business

None of these clients is in Rockingham or anywhere in WA. We chose them for problems Rockingham businesses share: covering a spread of fast-growing suburbs, filling classes with local families, and taking bookings for trips on the water.

Home page of the Bright Building & Renovations website

Bright Building & Renovations

Trades & construction · Adelaide, Adelaide Hills & Fleurieu

A licensed Adelaide renovation builder. Its 30-page site has seven service pages, seven service-area pages, five planning guides and a seven-step quote form. A Baldivis or Port Kennedy builder could use the same structure for the suburbs and estates it works in.

Home page of the Queensland Dance & Performing Arts website

Queensland Dance & Performing Arts

Community, creative & tourism · Thorneside, Brisbane's Bayside

A dance school at Thorneside on Brisbane's Bayside. Twelve pages cover each program and the full-time diploma, with a weekly timetable, a filterable gallery and online enrolment: much what a swim school, martial arts club or dance studio in Rockingham's family suburbs would want.

Home page of the Cape Fishing Charters website

Cape Fishing Charters

Community, creative & tourism · Cape Jervis

Full-day fishing trips out of Cape Jervis, South Australia, seven days a week. The single page collects booking requests and gift voucher requests and carries a catch gallery, an FAQ and a map, which is the core of what a boat, kayak or snorkel operator near Mersey Point would put on a site.

“My website is exactly how I wanted. I highly recommend Salem for any business wanting a professional website without the bull.”

Questions from Rockingham businesses

How much is a website for a Rockingham business?

Our prices don't change by postcode: $399 for one page, $899 for up to three and $1,499 for up to eight, with online stores at $799 or $1,999. No GST is added and nothing is paid up front. After launch, hosting is $30 a month with no contract, and it covers text and image changes on your existing pages.

You're in Adelaide. How does the time difference work?

We work by phone and email, and your draft is a link you can open on any device. Rockingham is 1.5 hours behind Adelaide, or 2.5 hours while South Australia is on daylight saving from early October to early April. We're open 7am to 8pm Adelaide time, seven days, and we reply within 24 hours.

Have you built sites for other Rockingham or WA businesses?

Not yet. Our current clients are in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, and the ones outside Adelaide work with us exactly as a Rockingham business would. Every site in our portfolio is live, so you can open them on your phone and try the quote forms, bookings and galleries yourself.

Can a defence or marine subcontractor's site include a capability statement?

Yes. Send us your capability statement, certifications and list of past work, and we set them out as a page buyers can read on screen, with your PDF version to download if you have one, plus a form that accepts drawings or tender documents. The statement itself comes from you; we arrange it rather than write it.

Can visitors book a tour, hire or lesson online?

Yes. We build online booking and payment systems into sites and quote them per job, because session times, group sizes and cancellation rules differ for every operator. If you already take bookings through Rezdy, Fresha or Calendly, we can link that from your site instead. Seasonal notices, such as off-season hours or a hot-weather closure, are text changes covered by hosting.

Can you redesign the website we already have?

Yes, at the same prices as a new site. Your current site stays up while we build the new one, and your domain stays in your name. Most sites are live within 5–10 days of us getting your words and photos; bigger sites (up to 8 pages) take 2–3 weeks.
