Website Costs in Perth: A 2026 Price Guide

Published Perth website prices run from fixed-price packages under $300 to agency builds well past $10,000, and WA has the highest average full-time earnings of any state. Here's what each option costs, what the money buys and how our fixed prices compare.

The range of Perth website prices

The table pulls together two published guides to Perth prices: an agency's 2026 Perth price guide and a Perth provider's own guide from late 2025. Neither says whether GST is included.

WebCraft Studio$399, $899 or $1,499$30 a month hosting, plus a domain at about $20 a year

A national cost-guide site puts a typical five-to-ten-page small business site at $2,000–$6,000, which sits in the middle of that table.

Why Perth quotes spread so wide

That guide describes Perth demand as split in two. For resources-sector firms in industrial, mining-services and engineering work, it treats the $6,000–$15,000 custom tier as the starting point, while consumer-facing businesses such as home services, health and hospitality mostly buy in the standard price bands. A provider used to the first kind of client may scope a small service business the same way, so check what sits behind any figure.

Labour costs push the same way. In May 2026 the ABS put full-time adult ordinary time earnings in Western Australia at $2,227.40 a week, the highest of any state and well above the national $2,083.70. Perth providers pay those wages, and the agency's Perth price guide lists freelancers at $80–$150 an hour, agencies at $150–$250 and senior consultants at $180–$300 or more.

At the other end, some Perth providers publish fixed-price packages that start under $300, with a yearly fee for hosting and updates. On sticker price, some of those cost less than ours do, so read exactly what each one includes before you decide.

When a cheaper Perth package is the right call

A lower-priced Perth package can be the better buy if:

  • its price covers what you need, including the number of pages and any help with writing;
  • the yearly fee, and what it covers, suits how often you'll want changes made;
  • you'd rather deal with a provider in Perth than work by phone and email.

At the top end, if you need copywriting, a photoshoot, monthly SEO or paid advertising, a Perth agency that offers them under one roof will suit you better than we would, because we don't offer those services.

We sit between the two: each site designed for your business and coded by hand rather than dropped into a theme, at a fixed price well below the agency range. If you're weighing a template against a custom site for a trade business, our custom vs template guide sets out the trade-offs.

What a Perth site costs after launch

The agency's Perth price guide lists the costs that keep coming once a site is live:

  • shared hosting at $20–$50 a month, or managed hosting at $50–$150;
  • security and monitoring tools at $50–$100 a month;
  • maintenance at $100–$500 a month for a standard site;
  • premium plugin licences at $400–$1,200 a year in total;
  • ongoing SEO from $500 to $2,000 or more a month;
  • a domain at $15–$50 a year.

Not every site needs every line, but the first four add up quickly on a WordPress build. For sites we build, hosting is $30 a month with no contract, and it includes security monitoring, backups, email support and unlimited text and image changes on your existing pages. We hand-code each site, so there are no plugin licences to renew. New pages or features are quoted before we start.

No GST is added to any of those figures, because WebCraft Studio isn't registered for GST. When you hold another quote against them, check which way it's written: a business with GST turnover of $75,000 or more must register and add 10%. And remember there's no deposit with us. You pay the build price once you've approved the draft.

Starting a new business in WA

ABS business counts show Western Australia grew its number of actively trading businesses faster than any other state or territory in 2025–26: up 4.6%, or 12,248 businesses. If yours is one of them, a single page is often enough to start with. It should say what you do, where you work and how to reach you, with a call button that dials you straight from a mobile. When the work picks up, we can add pages, quoted first.

Before you spend anything, talk to the WA Government's Small Business Development Corporation, which provides free advice and low-cost services to small business owners. Its Advisory Line is 133 140, and its workshop list has included sessions on optimising a website and on Google Ads, both useful before you brief a web designer.

Working with us from Perth

To be straight with you: we don't have any clients in Western Australia yet. Our current clients are in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, and those outside South Australia work with us exactly as a Perth business would, by phone and email with our Adelaide team at Ste 3/110 Hutt St. You can see their sites in our portfolio.

Western Australia doesn't use daylight saving, so Perth is 1.5 hours behind Adelaide from early April to early October and 2.5 hours behind for the rest of the year. Your draft arrives as a link you can check after hours, and you ask for changes until it's right. Tony Bleijswijk's Google review puts the changes stage well: “He listened to my feedback and made no hesitations to revise and adjust my website until we were completely happy with it.”

Perth website cost questions

How much should a small business website cost in Perth?

Published Perth prices run from lower-priced packages under $300 to agency brochure sites at $2,500–$7,000 and custom builds from $10,000 to $50,000 or more. One cost guide puts a typical five-to-ten-page small business site at $2,000–$6,000. Ours are fixed at $399, $899 or $1,499, with no GST added.

Why do Perth agencies charge $150 an hour or more?

Wages are a large part of it: average full-time earnings in WA are the highest of any state. Agencies also pay for project managers, premises and the extra services they bundle in, such as copywriting and SEO.

Can a Perth business work with a web design team in Adelaide?

Yes. Everything runs by phone and email: you send your words and photos, we send a draft link, and you ask for changes until you're happy. Perth is 1.5 or 2.5 hours behind us depending on the season, and we reply within 24 hours.

Do you build online stores for Perth businesses?

Yes. Our stores are $799 for up to 25 products with one payment gateway and basic order management, or $1,999 for unlimited products, multiple payment options, customer accounts and advanced shipping. One agency's Perth price guide puts an online store at $10,000–$50,000 or more.

What do you need from me before you start?

Your words, your photos, your logo, the suburbs you cover and the services you want listed. If you don't have a logo, we'll help with one at no charge. We arrange your content into the pages, but we don't write the copy or take photos.
