Website Design for Coaches & Consultants in Canberra

For career coaches who help public servants through selection rounds and promotions, leadership coaches working with executive-level managers, and small consultancies pitching to ACT and Commonwealth agencies: a site that names who you serve, shows how you work and makes a first call simple to book.

What a Canberra coaching or consulting site needs

In a city where so many people work for government, a coach's likely clients often share a vocabulary: classification levels, merit pools, acting arrangements, a move between departments. Consultants face buyers who compare suppliers against a written brief. Either way, the site is read closely, and vague claims get skipped.

  • Programs described in the words clients use

If you help people prepare for an APS selection process, write a pitch, or step up from APS 6 to EL1, say so in those terms on the program page. Someone searching for help with a selection round wants to see their situation named, along with session length, the number of sessions and the fee or a starting price.

  • Separate paths for individuals and agencies

A person booking coaching for themselves and a branch manager arranging a leadership program for a team have different questions. Give each a page: one with booking and prices for individuals, one for organisations covering group formats, how you report back, how you quote and whether you can invoice against a purchase order.

  • A capability statement buyers can download

Procurement officers often ask for one. A short page listing your services, past engagement types (named only with permission), your ABN, insurances and any panel memberships, with a PDF version to download, saves you sending the same attachment again and again.

  • Careful wording around confidentiality

Public servants may be wary of a coach knowing about a workplace problem. A plain paragraph in your own words on what you keep confidential, what you'd tell a sponsoring agency (if anything) and how notes are stored answers the question before it stops someone booking.

  • Booking that suits office hours, and around them

Early-morning, lunchtime and evening sessions matter when clients work in Barton, Civic or Woden offices. We link the scheduling tool you already use, such as Calendly or Acuity, from every page, or we can build booking and payment into the site, quoted for your practice.

  • Your background, stated briefly

If you spent years in a department before coaching or consulting, a line on that is useful. Keep it to roles and areas of work. Our page for new Canberra businesses explains why we suggest leaving security clearance details off a public site.

Coaching and consulting in the ACT: the rules and the buyers

Titles, and work close to health care. Coaching needs no licence in the ACT, as elsewhere in Australia. Psychologist is a protected title under the National Law, so a coach who isn't registered shouldn't use it or wording that suggests registration; our Sydney coaching page covers the Ahpra rules with links. The ACT difference is its own code. Since January 2024 a Code of Conduct for Health Care Workers (opens in a new tab) has applied to people providing a health service without national registration. The ACT Human Rights Commission names counsellors among the workers covered, and the Commission's definition of a health service includes services aimed at improving someone's mental or emotional health or wellbeing. If your coaching drifts into counselling or wellbeing work, read the code and the Commission's guidance yourself; our Canberra allied health page summarises what it says about misleading information and advertising. We can't tell you whether it covers your practice.

A client base shaped by the APS. The Australian Public Service Commission counted 198,529 APS employees at 30 June 2025 (opens in a new tab), and 70,221 of them, a little over a third, were in the ACT. So if you coach public servants on careers, leadership or a move out of the service, a program page that speaks to them directly, in your words, will be more useful than a general promise about growth.

Selling to the ACT Government. Territory agencies buy through Procurement ACT (opens in a new tab), and suppliers create a business profile on Tenders ACT to be notified of opportunities that match what they do. Procurement ACT says suppliers can apply to join a scheme at any time, but being a member doesn't mean you'll be included in every procurement under it. Under the Canberra Region Local Industry Participation Policy (opens in a new tab), agencies must consider local capability and economic benefit; at $200,000 or more (GST inclusive), suppliers usually complete an Economic Contribution Test, and a general version of that test applies to businesses joining a panel. A consultancy's site doesn't replace any of this, but an evaluator will often look you up, so your base, ABN and the work you take on should match what you've lodged.

Districts, the border and local networks. The ACT has no councils, so people search by district or suburb: Belconnen, Gungahlin, Inner North and City, Inner South, Woden, Weston Creek, Molonglo Valley, Tuggeranong. Many clients live in Queanbeyan, Jerrabomberra or Googong over the NSW border. If you see people in person, name your rooms and say who you see by video. For business coaches, the Canberra Business Chamber (opens in a new tab), the peak body for business in the ACT and Canberra Region, runs events and a member directory; membership or a speaking role there belongs on your about page in one line.

Working with us. We're an Adelaide team at Ste 3/110 Hutt St and work with Canberra coaches and consultants by phone and email. Canberra runs 30 minutes ahead of Adelaide all year. Our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD; we haven't built for an ACT business yet, and the two sites below are the closest match.

Sites that show what we'd build for you

Neither client is in Canberra. One is a coaching practice in Melbourne; the other is an Adelaide engineering consultancy whose site sets out fee ranges and expertise in a way that suits consultants selling to careful buyers.

Dr Tabara Dione Coaching

Professional services · Melbourne

One-on-one coaching for doctors, run by a Melbourne specialist anaesthetist. The site sets out her services and credentials, has a contact form, and links a discovery-call booking from every page, which is the pattern most Canberra coaches need.

“Salem was fantastic to work with on our accounting firm’s website. From day one, he was professional, responsive”

Questions Canberra coaches and consultants ask us

We coach public servants for selection processes. Can the site take bookings around a closing date?

Yes. Your scheduling link shows the times you're free, so a client with an application due on Friday can see what's left that week. If you sell a fixed package, such as a pitch review plus a mock interview, we can put it on the page with its price and a button to book or pay. Payment built into the site is quoted per job.

Should our site mention ACT Government panels we belong to?

If you're on a panel, naming it accurately on your capability page helps a buyer who's checking you out. Don't list a panel you've only applied to. Procurement ACT notes that being on a scheme doesn't mean you'll be included in a given procurement, so the page should describe your work first.

Does the ACT health care workers code apply to coaches?

It applies to people providing a health service without national registration, and the Human Rights Commission names counsellors among them. Whether it applies to your coaching is a question for the Commission's guidance or your own adviser, not for us. If it does, we'll lay out your site so nothing on it overstates what you offer.

Can one site serve clients in Canberra and in Queanbeyan?

Yes. One site with a clear line about where you meet people and who you see by video covers both sides of the border. If you hold sessions in rooms in both places, each location can have its own section with the address and parking notes you give us.
