Web Design for Albury-Wodonga Businesses

Hand-coded websites at fixed prices for businesses on both banks of the Murray: Dean Street, Lavington and Thurgoona on the NSW side, central Wodonga, Baranduda and Bandiana, and the towns that shop in both. Our Adelaide team builds them with you by phone and email, at one price whichever state you're in.

What Border businesses ask their websites to do

Albury-Wodonga works as one city split by a river and a state line. A customer might live in Thurgoona, work at the Logic estate in Wodonga and see a specialist in East Albury, and a lot of the people searching are new to the area: Defence families on a posting, university students, health staff starting a new job. Here's how our fixed offer covers what businesses here usually need.

  • Small business sites at one price for both states

Whether your postcode is 2640 or 3690, a one-page site is $399. Up to three pages is $899 and up to eight is $1,499. We aren't registered for GST, so nothing is added, and you pay nothing up front: we build the draft, you request changes, and you pay once you approve it.

  • Custom design, coded by hand

We don't start from a theme or a page builder. Each site is hand-coded around what its customers look for first, so a Dean Street boutique leads with stock and opening hours while a fabricator at the NEXUS precinct leads with capabilities, certifications and a drawing upload. There's no builder subscription, and the finished design is yours.

  • Clear about which side of the river you serve

Customers want to know straight away whether you'll come to Leneva, Jindera or Howlong. We give each area its own place on the site, and where your licence, registration or opening days differ between NSW and Victoria, the page says which applies where. Trades can read about the licensing split on our Albury-Wodonga tradies page.

  • Web developer work for suppliers and manufacturers

Buyers at a factory or a freight depot often check a supplier's site before they ring. We build capability pages, downloadable statements, multi-step enquiry forms and file uploads for specifications or photos, so an engineering shop, electrical contractor or labour-hire firm can be assessed without a long chain of emails.

  • Online stores that post in both directions

The $799 store covers up to 25 products, one payment gateway and basic order management. The $1,999 store adds unlimited products, multiple payment options, customer accounts and advanced shipping, handy when orders come from Melbourne, three hours down the Hume, as well as from across the river. There's no monthly platform fee on top of hosting.

  • Bookings for a health-heavy economy

Health care is the region's largest employing sector, so clinics, allied health practices and wellbeing businesses are everywhere. We can build online booking and payments into your site, quoted per job, or link HotDoc, Cliniko, Fresha or whichever system you already run, with practitioner profiles and fees set out plainly.

  • Redesigns at new-site prices

If your site was set up years ago and now loads slowly, breaks on a phone or can't be edited, we'll rebuild it for the same price as a new one. The old site keeps running until you sign off, we reuse whatever words and photos still suit, and the domain stays in your name.

Twin cities on the Murray

Albury sits on the northern, New South Wales bank of the Murray, on Wiradjuri country, and Wodonga on the southern, Victorian bank; its name comes from Wordonga, the local Waywurru name for the area. The 2021 Census counted 97,793 people in the combined urban area: 53,677 on the Albury side and 37,839 in Wodonga and its suburbs. Melbourne is about 326 km away and Sydney about 554 km. In Albury, Dean Street is the spine of the shopping and office district, Lavington is the largest suburb, and Thurgoona, Glenroy, Springdale Heights, Hamilton Valley and East, West, North and South Albury fill out the city. In Wodonga, people search by West Wodonga, Bandiana, Baranduda, Killara, Leneva, Huon Creek and Bonegilla, with Jindera, Howlong and the Lake Hume village close by. The twin cities owe part of their size to an agreement the Prime Minister and the NSW and Victorian premiers signed on 25 January 1973 to fast-track their growth as a decentralisation centre.

Public services carry a large share of the economy. Albury Wodonga Health, formed in 2009 by merging Albury Base Hospital and Wodonga Regional Health Service, describes itself as the only cross-border public health provider in Australia and, with more than 3,190 staff, the region's largest employer. Invest Albury Wodonga, the councils' joint investment site, says more than 1,000 Australian Taxation Office staff are based here and that the Army Logistic Training Centre is headquartered at Bandiana, alongside Latchford Barracks. Charles Sturt University has its campus at Thurgoona, La Trobe University has had a Wodonga campus since 1991, and TAFE NSW and Wodonga TAFE teach trades and vocational courses. That brings a steady stream of new residents, from soldiers on posting to graduate nurses, who don't yet know which mechanic, physio or childcare centre to choose and start with a search.

Manufacturing and freight are the other pillar. On the Wodonga side, council's economic profile counts 25,472 local jobs in 2025 against 22,937 employed residents, so some of the workforce comes in from Albury and the surrounding shires each day. Manufacturing provides 12.4% of those jobs, against 7.3% across Victoria, and construction 14.9%, after adding 1,851 jobs since 2019/20. Invest Albury Wodonga lists Visy, XLam, Mars Petcare, Asahi, V2 Foods, Malibu Boats and Butko among the manufacturers in the region and markets industrial land at the NEXUS Industrial Precinct in Albury and the Logic estate in Wodonga. Mars said it would commission a new $112.5 million wet pouch facility at its Wodonga pet food factory in June 2026. For a contractor or supplier hoping to work for sites like these, a page setting out capability, safety systems and past jobs answers the questions a buyer asks first.

Visitors add to the mix. Invest Albury Wodonga puts 2025 visitor numbers at more than 1.5 million, spending over $1.15 billion, drawn by the Murray and Lake Hume, the trails and parks, and day trips to the mountains and the wineries, while Albury's QEII Square holds the Entertainment Centre, the Library Museum and the Murray Art Museum Albury. Visitors tend to decide on a phone, often the night before, so a cafe, motel or tour operator needs hours, prices, location and a way to book on the first screen.

Client sites to show a Border business

None of these clients is on the Border. Dr Tabara Dione's coaching practice is in Melbourne; the other two are in Adelaide. We picked them for work businesses here often need: document uploads for industrial and engineering enquiries, a readable site for a care provider, and online booking for a practitioner.

Questions from Albury-Wodonga businesses

How much does a website cost in Albury or Wodonga?

It's $399 for one page, $899 for up to three pages and $1,499 for up to eight. Online stores are $799 or $1,999. No GST is added and there's no deposit. After launch, hosting is $30 a month with no contract; it covers security monitoring, backups and changes to the text and images on your existing pages.

Does it matter whether we're in NSW or Victoria?

Not to the price or the process. A Wodonga business pays the same as one in Albury, and the build works the same way. What can differ is the content: licence numbers, registration details or opening days that vary by state. You supply those for each side, and we lay them out so customers can tell which applies to them.

Can you redesign a website we already have?

Yes, for the same price as a new site. Send us the address and what you'd like fixed. We build the new version as a draft while your current site stays live, keep the words and photos you want, and switch over only after you approve it. If you don't go ahead, you owe nothing.

Can patients or clients book online?

Yes. We build online booking and payment systems into websites, priced per job and shown in your quote before we start, or we link a booking service you already use, such as HotDoc, Cliniko or Fresha, from every page. More detail is on our booking websites page.

Will an online store handle orders from both states?

Yes. The state line makes no difference to an online store; shipping rules and charges are what matter. The $799 store suits up to 25 products with one payment gateway; the $1,999 store adds unlimited products, more payment options, customer accounts and advanced shipping, so you can charge differently for local delivery, pickup and interstate post. Our ecommerce page compares the two.

Can we meet you in Albury, and do you write the content?

No to both. We're based in Adelaide, so every project outside Adelaide runs by phone and email, and we reply within 24 hours. You supply the words and photos and we arrange them into the pages; if you don't have a logo, we'll help with one at no charge. Most sites are live within 5–10 days of us getting your words and photos; bigger sites (up to 8 pages) take 2–3 weeks.
