End-of-lease cleans in Mackay follow the same Queensland rules as in Brisbane. The RTA expects a rental to be handed back in the condition it was in at the start of the tenancy, fair wear and tear aside, and the tenant chooses who cleans it. Our Brisbane cleaners page covers the exit condition report, carpets, pest control and blue cards, so this section sticks to Mackay.
On 30 September 2026 the RTA held 11,102 bonds for rentals in the Mackay Regional Council area. Houses with four bedrooms accounted for 2,838 of them and three-bedroom houses for 2,781, with two-bedroom flats next on 2,275. New tenancies are far less frequent than they were: 6,892 new Mackay bonds were lodged in 2014 and 3,719 in 2025, yet the number held at the end of each of those years barely moved, from 11,297 to 10,768. In the year to September 2026 the city centre led with 513 new bonds, followed by Andergrove (411), Blacks Beach (283), South Mackay, West Mackay, Rural View, North Mackay and Bucasia. With fewer move-outs to go round, regular homes and commercial contracts deserve as much space on your site as bond cleans.
Mining has become the mainstay of Mackay's economy, and the city is known as the gateway to the Bowen Basin coalfields. Coal mine work comes with its own legal requirements. Under the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999, anyone who carries out work at a coal mine is a coal mine worker, contractors and their employees included. The Coal Mining Safety and Health Regulation 2017 requires an employer of coal mine workers to arrange a health assessment before a person is employed as one, stops a new worker carrying out any task at a mine until they've completed the mine's induction training, and requires refresher training at least once every five years. Your website can't answer those obligations for anyone, but it can say plainly which assessments and inductions your people already hold.
The wet season adds clean-up work. Mackay Regional Council is on the state's list of eligible areas for the Stronger Homes Grant for two recent events: the tropical low of 29 January to 28 February 2025, and the monsoon trough, cyclones Koji and Narelle and severe weather that began on 24 December 2025. The grant pays for resilience work rather than cleaning, but applicants must submit photos showing their home was flooded, one more reason to photograph each room before a mud-out. Our Bundaberg cleaners page goes through what a flood clean-up page should and shouldn't promise.
The council area runs from Seaforth, Calen and Midge Point in the north to Sarina, Hay Point and Koumala in the south, and up the Pioneer Valley through Marian, Mirani and Finch Hatton; the ABS put its population at 129,253 in June 2025. The Eimeo – Rural View area on the northern beaches is young, with a median age of 34.0 and only one resident in ten aged 65 or older. We're an Adelaide team, so Mackay cleaners work with us by phone and email. Send your price list, the suburbs and towns you cover and any induction details, and we'll send a draft link you can check on a day off. You pay once you approve it.
