Website Design for Cleaners

Websites for cleaning businesses that show your prices, who'll be walking into the house and what an end-of-lease clean includes, so customers can book without three rounds of texts.

What people want to know before they book a cleaner

Hiring a cleaner means handing a stranger your keys, or trusting someone to get your bond back. Most customers ring with the same handful of questions, and a cleaning website can answer them before the call: what it costs, who's coming, what's included and whether you cover their street.

  • Prices customers can work out themselves

A table by bedrooms and bathrooms, a starting price for an end-of-lease clean, or an hourly rate with a minimum booking. People can price a regular clean on the spot instead of waiting for a call-back, and the ones who were never going to pay your rate don't take up your evenings.

  • A booking request that collects the details

Service, address, bedrooms and bathrooms, preferred day and time, pets, and how you'll get in. The form sends you everything needed to confirm by text or phone. If you already use booking software, the Book buttons can link straight to it instead.

  • Who is coming into the home

Whether your cleaners hold a current police check (the official name is now a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check), whether the same cleaner comes each visit, and how keys and alarm codes are kept. If you're a registered NDIS provider, note that your workers in risk-assessed roles hold NDIS Worker Screening clearances, which the NDIS Commission requires.

  • An end-of-lease checklist, room by room

Oven and rangehood, inside cupboards and drawers, window tracks, skirting boards, wall marks, exhaust fans, shower screen and grout. Tenants hold it up against their agent's exit report, and it heads off arguments about what the price covered. Add your re-clean policy for anything the property manager flags after the inspection.

  • Insurance, equipment and products

Your public liability cover, whether you bring your own vacuum, ladders and products, and any options for allergies, babies or pets. Commercial clients and strata managers may want a certificate of currency, so a line saying you'll send one on request saves an email.

  • Separate pages for homes, rentals and offices

Regular house cleaning, end-of-lease, office and commercial, carpets, windows and holiday rental turnovers each attract a different customer. The same job is also searched as an end-of-lease, bond or vacate clean, so each page should use the words your customers type. On a 3-page or 8-page site the main services each get a page of their own.

A cleaning website we've built

Phoenix Housekeeping is a family-run cleaning business in New South Wales, covering Lake Macquarie, Cessnock and the Central Coast. Its site shows several of the pieces above working together: published prices, a page per service and suburb pages. The Google review below is from a different client.

Phoenix Housekeeping

Home & care services · Lake Macquarie, Cessnock & Central Coast

Airbnb turnovers and linen, housekeeping, NDIS and end-of-lease cleans, plus discreet trauma and deceased estate cleaning. We built a multi-page site with published pricing, service pages, suburb pages across its service area, a quote form with a discreet call-back option and tap-to-call.

“He listened to my feedback and made no hesitations to revise and adjust my website until we were completely happy with it.”

  • Payment. No deposit. We build your draft first, you ask for as many changes as you like, and you pay once you approve it. If you don't go ahead, you owe nothing.
  • GST. WebCraft Studio isn't registered for GST, so no GST is added.
  • Timing. Most sites are live within 5–10 days of us getting your words and photos; bigger sites (up to 8 pages) take 2–3 weeks.
  • Hosting. After launch, hosting is $30 a month: hosting, security monitoring, backups, email support and unlimited text and image changes on your existing pages. New pages or features are quoted first. No contract, cancel anytime.
  • Domain and email. We register your domain in your name (about $20 a year), connect it to your site and set up your business email.

Questions cleaners ask us

Can customers book a clean online?

They can send a booking request: the customer picks a service and a preferred day, gives the property details, and you confirm. We don't build live booking calendars or take payments through the site, but if you already use booking software, the Book buttons can point to it.

Should a cleaning website show prices?

We suggest it. Even a starting price by bedroom count, or an hourly rate with a two-hour minimum, lets people rule themselves in before they call. Phoenix Housekeeping publishes its pricing on its site. If your prices change, updating them is a text change covered by your $30 monthly hosting.

What photos does a cleaning website need?

Photos of your own cleaners, in uniform if you have one, and of your van or signage if customers will see it in their driveway. Before-and-after pairs work well for ovens, shower screens, grout and carpets. Ask the owner or tenant before photographing inside their home, and leave out anything that shows an address or personal belongings.

Do you build websites for cleaners in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane?

Yes. We're an Adelaide team working with businesses Australia-wide by phone and email, with current clients in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD, including a cleaning client in NSW. See our pages on cleaning websites in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Which package suits a cleaning business?

A sole operator doing regular home cleans in a few suburbs usually needs only the one-page site at $399. If end-of-lease work is a big part of the business, the three-page site at $899 gives it a page with the full checklist. Companies with commercial contracts and several crews tend to need the $1,499 site.
