Bond cleans in Bundaberg follow the RTA rules that apply across Queensland, set out on our Brisbane cleaners page along with carpets, blue cards and NDIS screening. One part of the RTA's guidance matters more here than in most places: after a natural disaster, the tenant is responsible for cleaning, repairing or removing their own belongings, while the owner is responsible for the repairs that make the home liveable and for mould the disaster caused. A tenancy doesn't end automatically because a home becomes unliveable, so a flood clean in a rental can have two customers.
Council's flood information lists moderate to large Burnett River floods in 1942, 1971, December 2010 and January 2011, then January 2013, when more than 4,000 homes were inundated and about 5,000 residents of North Bundaberg were among those evacuated. In March 2026 the river sat at about 7.4 metres at the Targo Street gauge, above the 7-metre major flood level, and residents of Bundaberg North, East, South and Central were told it wasn't safe to go home. Council's flood recovery page links Queensland Health sheets on clean-up safety, mould, asbestos and melioidosis, plus the Insurance Council's clean-up and claims guides. Link to those from your flood page rather than rewriting them.
The RTA held 9,527 bonds for the Bundaberg Regional Council area on 30 September 2026. Three-bedroom houses made up 3,297 of them, then four-bedroom houses with 1,882 and two-bedroom flats with 1,813. New bonds have picked up: 3,200 were lodged in the year to September 2026, against 2,731 the year before, and the September quarter's 915 was the most in any quarter since March 2019. Bargara led the suburbs with 421 new bonds and 939 held, ahead of Bundaberg South with 203 new, then Avenell Heights, Kepnock and Bundaberg North.
Bargara, a beach town about 13 km east of the city, gives one suburb three kinds of customer: tenants, holiday-home owners and owner-occupiers who want a regular clean. If registered aged care providers send you clients, our Sunshine Coast cleaners page explains how government-funded domestic assistance works and what to put on the site for providers.
We're an Adelaide team, so Bundaberg cleaners work with us by phone and email. Send your services, your price list and the towns you cover, and we'll build a draft you can look over on your phone after a job. You pay once you've approved it.
