Website Design for Builders in Hervey Bay

Websites for Hervey Bay builders whose clients are often new to the coast: couples planning a single-level home at Eli Waters or Point Vernon, investors after a duplex near the Esplanade, owners restoring an old house in Maryborough. Your homes, licence and way of working are set out for people who haven't met you yet.

What a Hervey Bay builder's website should do

Hervey Bay grows because people move there. Across its six statistical areas deaths outnumbered births in 2024–25, yet the population rose by 1,778. Some of those newcomers commission a house before they know the suburbs, the builders or anyone who has built locally, so your website does a lot of the introducing.

  • Step-free and single-level features pointed out

Queensland's livable housing standard has applied to new homes since 1 October 2023, and the August 2026 changes added options such as building an elevated home ramp-ready. For buyers planning a house to grow old in, captions that point out a level entry, wider doorways and a hobless shower say more than a floor plan does.

  • A page for clients who haven't moved yet

Explain how you work with someone still living in Brisbane or further away: a video walk-through of the lot, photos at slab, frame, lock-up and handover, and one named contact. That page answers in two minutes what would otherwise take three phone calls.

  • Duplexes and small-scale housing kept separate

Council's first package of planning scheme amendments, open for comment from 27 February to 1 May 2026, proposed clearer rules for lot sizes and small-scale housing such as dual occupancies and triplexes. If you build duplexes or units for investors, a page of finished examples stops that work crowding out the family homes.

  • Floor heights noted on flood-mapped lots

Fraser Coast's temporary flood instrument updated the flood hazard area on the planning scheme maps from 7 March 2025. On a project near a creek or on low ground, say in the caption how the floor height was set, and point owners to council's flood information rather than quoting levels yourself.

  • Maryborough and Howard renovations on their own page

The planning scheme recognises neighbourhood character in Maryborough and Howard, and council has studied the character of streets in Hervey Bay, Toogoom, Burrum Heads and Torbanlea. If you restore or extend older houses there, a page for that work with the street named tells owners you've done it before.

  • An enquiry form for buyers at a distance

Ask where the client lives now and when they plan to move, then the suburb or estate, the type of home and a rough budget. Let them attach plans or the contract for their lot. You'll know who's local and who's planning from afar before you ring back.

Building on the Fraser Coast: new arrivals, temporary flood mapping and a coast outside Cyclone Region C

On the Fraser Coast, as across Queensland, builders are licensed by the QBCC, and a website counts as advertising, so the licensed name, the licence number and a statement that you're licensed under the QBCC Act have to be on it, clearly; we put them in the footer of every page. Home warranty insurance and deposit limits are set by the state as well, and our Brisbane builders page explains them. These are the things that differ in Hervey Bay.

ABS estimates put Hervey Bay's six statistical areas at 71,199 residents in June 2025, up 1,778 in a year. Deaths outnumbered births by 369, so the growth came from people arriving: a net 1,839 from elsewhere in Australia and 308 from overseas. The three largest areas, Pialba – Eli Waters (17,754), Torquay – Scarness – Kawungan (16,715) and Urangan – Wondunna (16,623), each added between 346 and 398 people, while Booral – River Heads on the southern edge grew fastest, by 6.1% to 7,887. For a builder that means a steady supply of clients who don't yet know one suburb from the next, so name the suburb on every project.

Two technical points set the coast apart from Bundaberg to the north. The state's Household Resilience Program says the Fraser Coast council area is outside Cyclone Region C, while its cyclone risk area, within 50 km of the coast from Bundaberg north, takes in the Bundaberg Regional Council area. And the flood maps changed recently: council adopted Temporary Local Planning Instrument 01/24 on 26 February 2025, updating the flood hazard area on the planning scheme's overlay maps from 7 March 2025. It ceases to have effect on 7 March 2027 unless repealed sooner, so a builder's site should link to council's current flood information rather than describe the mapping.

The Fraser Coast Planning Scheme 2014 is being amended in stages. Amendment Package One, on consultation from 27 February to 1 May 2026, covers the strategic framework, zoning, overlay codes and mapping, local plan areas and development codes, and reflects the work council identified in the scheme's ten-year statutory review; council was still considering submissions, with ministerial review and adoption to follow. Council's heritage page says neighbourhood character is currently recognised in Maryborough and Howard.

Fraser Coast builders compete in the Master Builders Wide Bay Burnett Housing & Construction Awards, held this year in Bundaberg on 22 August, where the founder of a Dundowran building company was named the region's 2026 Rising Star. If one of your homes placed, the category and year belong on that project's page, not as a floating badge. We're an Adelaide team at Hutt St and work with Hervey Bay builders by phone and email: you send photos, licence details and the suburbs you build in, and we send back a draft link you can look over from the site or the ute.

Building and trade websites we've built

We haven't built a site for a Hervey Bay builder yet. Bright Building & Renovations is a licensed South Australian builder with pages for each service and each area it covers, and SA Painting Professionals covers a whole state from one site with a postcode search, which suits a builder taking work from Burrum Heads to Maryborough.

Bright Building & Renovations

Trades & construction · Adelaide, Adelaide Hills & Fleurieu

New homes, extensions and renovations across Adelaide, the Hills and the Fleurieu, on a 30-page site with seven service pages, seven service-area pages, five planning guides, an FAQ and a seven-step quote form. For Hervey Bay we'd use the guides for the questions newcomers ask: how a build runs, what happens at each stage and who to call.

“My website is exactly how I wanted. I highly recommend Salem for any business wanting a professional website without the bull.”

Questions Hervey Bay builders ask us

Many of our clients are retirees moving to the Bay. How should the site speak to them?

Plainly, and with the features they care about shown in photos: level entries, wider doors, low-maintenance yards, a single storey. Use a readable type size, a phone number that's always visible and a page explaining your process step by step. Leave out jargon and anything that sounds like a sales pitch.

Should our site mention cyclone ratings like builders further north?

Not as a selling point. The state's Household Resilience Program treats the Fraser Coast as outside Cyclone Region C, so the cyclone talk that suits builders' sites in Bundaberg and Gladstone doesn't carry over. Describe how your homes are built for the coast here, and leave wind classification details to the engineer's documents.

Council's flood mapping is temporary at the moment. Will our website go out of date?

Not if it doesn't quote levels. Say that you check council's current flood mapping for every lot, show finished floor heights on projects, and link to council's flood pages. When the temporary instrument lapses or is replaced, nothing on your site has to change.

We build in Hervey Bay and Maryborough. One page or two?

Two, if Maryborough is a real part of your work. Its older houses and character areas mean a different kind of job, and owners there search for Maryborough builders by name. Keep both on one website so all your projects and reviews sit together.

Can an Adelaide team look after a Hervey Bay builder's website?

Yes. We're an Adelaide (South Australia) web design team working with businesses Australia-wide by phone and email, and our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. You send photos, your QBCC details and the suburbs you cover; we build a draft, you ask for changes, and payment comes only once you approve it.
