Website Design for Builders on the Sunshine Coast

Websites for builders working between Pelican Waters, the Blackall Range and Noosa, laid out so an owner with a steep hinterland lot, a low block near the passage or a house in a new estate can find homes you've built in conditions like theirs.

What a Sunshine Coast builder's site has to show

Building on the Sunshine Coast can mean a pole home on the range at Montville, a raised rebuild near the water at Golden Beach, a first home in one of the southern estates or a renovation under the Noosa Plan. Owners rarely want a builder who claims to do everything. They want one who has done their kind of job.

  • Hillside homes with the slope in the caption

Council's overlay maps grade steep land into slope bands, the steepest being over 25%. If you build on that kind of ground around Maleny, Flaxton or Mapleton, say so in each caption: the fall across the lot, how the house sits on it and how materials got in. An owner with a similar block sees you've handled one.

  • Coastal and low-lying builds as their own group

Houses near the water at Golden Beach, Twin Waters or Mooloolaba bring questions about floor height, salt air and site access. A separate group for them, with a few lines on each job, lets an owner on a canal or beachside block skip past the hinterland work.

  • Noosa named, with its own planning scheme

Noosa Shire is a separate council working under the Noosa Plan 2020, not the Sunshine Coast scheme. If you build in Tewantin, Noosaville or Cooroy, a short section naming those towns tells owners there that you know which rules apply to them.

  • Award results on the house that won them

If one of your homes has placed in the Master Builders Queensland Housing & Construction Awards, the award, category and year go on that project's write-up, where an owner reading about the build sees them. Member and award logos come only from artwork the association supplies.

  • QBCC details for owners new to Queensland

Owners who have moved up from another state may never have heard of the QBCC. Your licensed name, licence number and the line saying you're licensed under the QBCC Act go at the foot of each page, with a link to the regulator's licence search so they can check you just as they would back home.

  • An enquiry form that asks about the land first

New build, knockdown or renovation, then the suburb, rough block size, whether the land slopes and whether a soil test or geotechnical report exists. Plans and reports attach as PDFs, so you can tell which enquiries need a site visit and which can start with a phone call.

Building on the Sunshine Coast: two councils, steep land and a changing coastline

Licensing, home warranty insurance and deposit limits work the same way across Queensland, and the QBCC counts a website as advertising. We've set those rules out on our Brisbane builders page. What changes on the Sunshine Coast is which council you're dealing with and what kind of land you're building on.

The region runs under two planning schemes. Sunshine Coast Council still assesses work under the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014. Its proposed replacement was open for consultation from 15 July to 19 September 2025, drew around 4,600 formal submissions, and council expects its review of them to continue well into 2026. Noosa Shire Council has the Noosa Plan 2020, which had a major amendment take effect on 26 September 2025 and a minor one on 20 March 2026. With both schemes moving, planning detail on a builder's website dates quickly. We'd link to each council's property mapping and leave the specifics for the conversation with each owner.

In the hinterland, the 2014 scheme's Landslide Hazard and Steep Land overlay maps both slope (15–20%, 20–25% and over 25%) and landslide hazard areas rated moderate, high or very high. Council describes its overlays as a trigger for an issue to be checked by further on-site investigation, so on the Blackall Range an owner may need engineering and soil reports before the design is settled. A builder who works there regularly can say so plainly and invite owners to send whatever reports they already hold.

In January 2022, heavy seas from ex-Tropical Cyclone Seth combined with king tides broke through the northern end of Bribie Island, opposite Golden Beach. Council has had a Bribie Island breakthrough action plan since 2014, says its water level monitoring has shown increases equivalent to conditions predicted for 2041, and lists reviewing planning controls and encouraging resilient homes among its coastal hazard actions for Pumicestone Passage and Golden Beach. If you build or raise homes on the low ground around Golden Beach, that work deserves a write-up of its own.

Hinterland work turns up in the industry's awards too: at Master Builders Australia's 2025 National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards, Horseshoe Hill, a home at Bald Knob built by a Sunshine Coast firm, was named National Residential Master Builder of the Year. Whether or not you enter, clear photos of finished work will do more for your site than adjectives. We're an Adelaide team at Hutt St and work with Sunshine Coast builders by phone and email: you send project photos, your licence details and the areas you build in, and we send a draft link to look over.

Building and site-work websites we've made

There's no Sunshine Coast builder in our portfolio yet. Bright Building & Renovations is a licensed builder in South Australia whose site covers city, hills and coast, and Tomi's Bobcat and Excavation does the earthworks and structural landscaping a hillside build often starts with.

Bright Building & Renovations

Trades & construction · Adelaide, Adelaide Hills & Fleurieu

Renovations, extensions, new homes and commercial fit-outs across Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills and the Fleurieu. Its service-area pages treat hills and coastal work separately, much as a Sunshine Coast builder might split the range from the beaches and Noosa, and its planning guides give owners answers in writing before the first meeting.

Trades & construction · South Pambula & Bega Valley

Bobcat and excavator operators in South Pambula doing structural landscaping, licensed pool building and general earthworks across the Bega Valley. Their one-page site leans on a 42-photo gallery that swipes on a phone, which suits a builder who wants photos of difficult sites, finished, to do the talking.

“My website is exactly how I wanted. I highly recommend Salem for any business wanting a professional website without the bull.”

Questions Sunshine Coast builders ask us

We build in both the Sunshine Coast and Noosa council areas. One website or two?

One website. Give Noosa its own section or page naming the towns you work in, such as Tewantin, Noosaville and Cooroy, and keep the Sunshine Coast suburbs in theirs. Owners search by the town they live in, so naming both areas covers them without splitting your projects across two sites.

Can the quote form take soil tests and geotechnical reports?

Yes. The form can accept PDFs and photos, so an owner on a steep lot can attach a soil test, a geotechnical report, a contour survey or an architect's drawings. They arrive in your inbox with the enquiry, and you choose which questions the form asks.

Should our site explain the landslide and steep land overlay?

We wouldn't. The rules belong to council and change with the planning scheme. Your site can say you build on steep hinterland land, show the homes you've built there and link owners to council's mapping so they can look up their own lot.

Can you build a Sunshine Coast builder's website without visiting?

Yes. We're an Adelaide (South Australia) web design team, and we work with businesses Australia-wide by phone and email. Our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. You send your photos and details, we build a draft, and you ask for changes until you're happy before paying anything.

How should we show a Master Builders award?

On the project it was won for, with the award name, category and year in the write-up. A short line on the home page can point to it. For logos, we use only the artwork Master Builders Queensland supplies you, on whatever conditions come with it.
