Website Design for Electricians in Hervey Bay

Websites for Hervey Bay and Maryborough electricians whose customers are mostly owner-occupiers, many of them retired, in a postcode with more solar households than almost anywhere in Queensland. Pages for solar upgrades, batteries and the smoke alarm deadline, written plainly and set in type that’s easy to read.

What a Hervey Bay electrician’s website needs

Most Hervey Bay homes are owner-occupied, a large share already have solar, and any home that hasn’t been sold or leased since 2022 has until 1 January 2027 to meet the smoke alarm rules. The site has to talk to those owners: what you do, what it costs to have you out, and how to reach you without hunting.

  • Solar for a postcode already full of it

In the state’s 2022 ranking, postcode 4655 had more than 14,000 solar households, second in Queensland, and it was still one of the busiest postcodes for new systems in 2024. List what you do for owners who already have panels, such as inverter replacements, extra panels, fault-finding and cleaning or inspection, so they don’t assume you only sell new systems.

  • Batteries added to an existing system

Under the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, a battery can be added to solar that’s already on the roof, but the installer must be accredited with Solar Accreditation Australia with a battery endorsement, and the inverter it connects to must be able to join a virtual power plant. If you hold that endorsement, say so beside your battery section and link to the Clean Energy Regulator’s page for the current rules.

  • Smoke alarms for owners who’ve stayed put

Queensland phased its smoke alarm law in: since 1 January 2022 a home has had to comply when it’s sold or a tenancy starts or is renewed, and every other home must by 1 January 2027. That final stage lands on owners who haven’t moved in years, and about 70% of homes in the Hervey Bay postcode are owner-occupied. A section that explains interconnected photoelectric alarms in plain words, with your price to supply and fit, belongs near the top.

  • Home Assist Secure jobs, named plainly

The state’s Home Assist Secure service subsidises licensed electrical work and smoke alarm installation for eligible older residents, and providers arrange jobs through their own staff or local trades. If you take that work, say so in a line of its own; our Hervey Bay tradies page covers who is eligible.

  • Maryborough as a second market

Maryborough is about 30 km south-west of Hervey Bay and had 27,489 people in its urban area in 2021. It’s also an industrial town: Downer Rail, formerly Walkers, is a heavy engineering business that has built much of Queensland Rail’s rolling stock. If you do commercial or factory work there, give it its own heading apart from the household jobs.

  • Your licence on the page and on the form

Your licensed or registered business name, a statement that you’re licensed under the Electrical Safety Act 2002 and your contractor licence number go in the footer and again beside the quote form, so a careful customer can check you before letting you in.

Electrical work on the Fraser Coast: solar, age and the 2027 deadline

Queensland’s licensing rules for electrical contractors are the same here as in the south-east, and our Brisbane electrician page sets them out: a contractor licence from the Electrical Safety Office, and section 188 of the Electrical Safety Regulation 2026 for what an electrical contractor’s advertisements must state. The smoke alarm law has been tightening in stages. Since 1 January 2022, a home has had to meet it when it’s sold or when a tenancy starts or is renewed, and every remaining home must by 1 January 2027. Alarms must be photoelectric and interconnected, and a hardwired alarm has to be replaced with another hardwired alarm, which is work for a licensed electrician.

Fraser Coast Regional Council had an estimated 122,924 residents in June 2025, with a median age of 52.1 and 31.4% aged 65 or older. In the Hervey Bay postcode, the 2021 census found about 70% of homes owner-occupied, 84.2% of dwellings separate houses and 2.3 people per dwelling, and 41.5% of people not working, about double the state figure, which the Australian Energy Council puts down to retirees. The largest part of the town is Pialba – Eli Waters, with 17,754 residents after adding 398 in 2024–25, followed by Torquay – Scarness – Kawungan and Urangan – Wondunna, each with more than 16,600. The coast is on Ergon Energy’s network.

Those numbers explain the solar. When the state ranked postcodes by residential solar customers in September 2022, 4655 came second in Queensland with more than 14,000 households, behind only Bundaberg’s 4670. Installation hasn’t stopped: the Australian Energy Council counted 1,501 new systems in 4655 in 2024 to the end of October, fourth among the five postcodes it looked at, with an average size of 8 kW, smaller than the Queensland average of more than 9 kW. For batteries, the Clean Energy Regulator lets a battery be added to an existing system, with conditions on the installer and the inverter, and the certificate factor that sets the discount fell from 8.4 to 6.8 in May 2026, which is why we’d link to the regulator rather than print a figure.

Home Assist Secure is the other local thread. It helps people aged 60 or over, or of any age with a disability, who hold a Pensioner Concession Card and can’t do the work themselves, and its providers arrange licensed electrical jobs and smoke alarm installation through their own staff or local tradespeople. For industrial work, look to Maryborough, home of Downer Rail, and to the new train factory at Torbanlea, near Maryborough, where the state said passenger train manufacturing had begun in June 2026. If you also take jobs across on K’gari, our Hervey Bay tradies page has the ferry detail.

We’re an Adelaide team at Ste 3/110 Hutt St, and we work with Fraser Coast electricians by phone and email. You send your licence details, the suburbs and towns you cover and photos of solar and switchboard jobs; we send a draft link you can open on a phone or a desktop, and you pay once you’ve approved it.

Sites we’ve built that fit this market

We haven’t built a site for an electrician yet. These two show the parts a Hervey Bay electrician would use: a site designed for older readers, and a single-page site for a licensed Queensland trade.

Questions Hervey Bay electricians ask us

Most of our customers are retired. What changes on the site?

Larger text, strong contrast, your phone number written out at the top of every page, and plain words about what a call-out costs and when you can come. We’d also add a call-back request, so someone who’d rather talk than type can leave a number and a good time to ring.

Should we build a page around the 1 January 2027 smoke alarm deadline?

On the Fraser Coast it’s worth it. The last stage covers homes that haven’t been sold or leased since 2022, which means long-term owner-occupiers. Explain the requirement, say whether you fit hardwired or 10-year battery alarms and give your price. After January, send us new wording about compliance checks and replacements and we’ll swap it in; text changes on existing pages are part of the $30 monthly hosting.

Can we mention the federal battery discount?

Yes, carefully. Say that eligible batteries installed by an accredited installer may qualify, and link to the Clean Energy Regulator’s page. The discount shrinks as the certificate factor steps down, so a fixed dollar figure on your site would soon be wrong.

Do we need Maryborough on the site as well as Hervey Bay?

If you work there, yes. It’s about 30 km away, people search for it by name, and its industrial work is different from the household jobs in Hervey Bay. A heading for Maryborough, Tinana and Granville, and another for Burrum Heads, Toogoom and River Heads if you go that far, covers it.

How does an Adelaide team work with a Hervey Bay electrician?

By phone and email. WebCraft Studio is at Hutt St in Adelaide, and our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. Most sites are live within 5–10 days of us getting your words and photos; bigger sites (up to 8 pages) take 2–3 weeks. We reply within 24 hours, and you see the whole draft before you pay.

Ready to start your Hervey Bay electrical website?

Send us your contractor licence number, the suburbs and towns you cover, and the jobs you want more of, whether that’s solar upgrades, batteries or smoke alarms. We’ll confirm the price, build the draft, and you pay once you’ve approved it.
