Website Design for Accountants in Mandurah

Websites for tax agents, BAS agents and accounting practices in Mandurah and the Peel, from Halls Head and Dawesville to Lakelands, Pinjarra and Waroona. Retired couples, people who work away at the mines, and the tradies who run most local businesses can each see the work you do for them and how to book a first appointment.

What a Mandurah practice's website should cover

A quarter of Mandurah's residents were 65 or older at the 2021 Census, against about one in six across WA, and iron ore mining was the single largest industry its working residents were employed in. Those two groups, plus a business base that's mostly sole operators, want different things from the same site.

  • A page for retirees, written plainly

Retired clients are usually after help with returns that include super pensions, rental income or share dividends, and with the paperwork when a home is sold. Say what you do for them, in their words, with your office hours and whether you can see people at home or by phone. Larger text and a phone number at the top of every page matter more here than anywhere else on the coast.

  • Careful wording on super and SMSFs

A Mandurah retiree reading about downsizing may expect you to tell them what to do with the proceeds. ASIC says accountants must be covered by an AFS licence to advise on acquiring or disposing of an interest in an SMSF. Your website should describe only the services your licence position allows; we'll set the page up around the wording you and your adviser settle on.

  • Clients on a roster

Residents who work fly-in fly-out or drive-in drive-out can't drop in on a Tuesday. Tell them they can book around a swing, send documents through your portal from site, and talk by phone or video in their week off. A short line on the deductions you check for mine-site employees, linked to the ATO's occupation guide, shows you've done these returns before.

  • Sole traders and trades first

Of the 5,199 businesses counted in the City of Mandurah in June 2025, 3,120 had no employees and 1,247 were in construction. A services page that leads with ABN set-up, BAS, quarterly instalments and getting ready to hire the first apprentice matches what most local business owners are looking for.

  • Your TPB registration, linked

Put your registration number and type in the footer and link to your entry on the TPB Register. The client information the TPB expects you to give people can sit on its own page, linked from every footer, so it's one tap from anywhere.

  • Where to park and which suburbs you draw from

Name the office, the car park and the suburbs your clients come from: Meadow Springs, Greenfields, Falcon, Erskine, Madora Bay, Ravenswood. If you also see clients in Pinjarra or Rockingham, say on which days.

Accounting in Mandurah and the Peel: retirees, rosters and small operators

The state and national rules. TPB registration, the client information requirements under the 2024 Code determination and WA payroll tax work the same way in Mandurah as in the capital, and our Perth accountants page sets them out with sources. What follows is what's particular to Mandurah.

An older city. The ABS counted 90,306 people in the City of Mandurah at the 2021 Census. The median age was 45, against 38 for WA and Australia, and 25.5% of residents were 65 or over, compared with 16.1% statewide. A third of occupied homes (33.6%) were owned outright, above the WA figure of 29.2%. That shapes a practice's work: more returns with super income streams and investment property, more estates, and more people thinking about selling the family home. The ATO says that from age 55 a person may be able to put up to $300,000 from the sale of their home into super as a downsizer contribution. A practice that helps with the tax side can say so and link to the ATO, but any recommendation about super is financial product advice, so the website wording should match what you're licensed to give.

Mines and refineries. At the same Census, 4.1% of employed Mandurah residents worked in iron ore mining, against 2.9% across WA and 0.4% nationally. Western Australia's iron ore is mined far to the north, so many of those residents are likely to work away from home on a roster. Another 3.0% worked in alumina production, against 0.3% across WA, which in the Peel means Alcoa's Pinjarra refinery. Technicians and trades workers (18.6%) and machinery operators and drivers (10.9%) both made up more of the workforce than the state average. If these people are a large share of your clients, a page that covers rosters, allowances and site deductions, and explains how to book from a camp, will do more than a general 'individual tax' heading.

A small-operator economy. ABS business counts show the City of Mandurah grew from 4,439 businesses in June 2021 to 5,199 in June 2025. Construction remains the largest group at 1,247, transport, postal and warehousing rose from 340 to 405, and health care and social assistance rose from 322 to 430, which covers the support workers and allied health clinics growing with an older population. Only 144 businesses employed 20 or more people. A practice here mostly serves owner-operators, so a short, plain list of what's included in a BAS or year-end package is worth more than a page about corporate advisory.

Working with us. We're an Adelaide team and work with Peel practices by phone and email; we don't visit Mandurah. We've built a website for an accounting firm, and our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD, not WA. Mandurah runs on Perth time, 1.5 hours behind Adelaide, or 2.5 hours during South Australian daylight saving, and we reply within 24 hours.

Sites with features a Mandurah practice can use

The review below is from the accounting firm we built a website for. The two sites shown aren't accountants, but each solves a problem a Peel practice has: being easy to read for older clients, and letting busy people book and start the paperwork without a phone call.

Home page of the Golden Years Aged Care Support website

Golden Years Aged Care Support

Home & care services · Northern Adelaide

A home care business in northern Adelaide. Its six pages use large, readable text and tap-to-call on every page, and its enquiry form has a referral option for aged care providers. For a practice with many retired clients, the same text size is worth copying, and a similar option can let a son or daughter make the enquiry on a parent's behalf.

Home page of the Resolve Forward website

Resolve Forward

Professional services · Sydney

A Sydney professional services firm with priced packages linked to online booking and a five-step intake form. A practice can do the same for a fixed-fee individual return or a sole trader BAS package, so a worker home for a week can book and answer the first questions on their phone.

“Salem was fantastic to work with on our accounting firm’s website. From day one, he was professional, responsive…”

Questions Mandurah accountants ask us

A lot of our clients are retired. What should change on the site?

Use larger text than usual, keep the phone number at the top of every page and avoid menus hidden behind small icons. Say plainly whether you can see someone at home, by phone or only at the office, and let a family member fill in the enquiry form on a parent's behalf.

Can we mention downsizer contributions and SMSFs?

You can describe the tax work you do, such as returns that include super pensions or a home sale, and link to the ATO's downsizer page. Recommending a super strategy is financial product advice under ASIC's rules, so only promote it if you're covered by an AFS licence. You settle the wording; we build the page around it.

How do we make it easy for FIFO clients?

Put a portal button in the header, say clients can upload documents from site, and offer booking slots that suit a week off, including early evenings if you have them. A line in the enquiry form asking about their roster helps your staff call back at the right time.

Should we list Pinjarra and Waroona as well as Mandurah?

If clients come from there, yes. Pinjarra and the Yunderups are in the Shire of Murray and Waroona is its own shire, so people search those names rather than Mandurah. List them on the contact page, and if you hold appointments in any of them, say when.

You're in Adelaide. How does a Mandurah project work?

By phone and email. You send your services, registration details, wording and photos of your people; we build a draft and send you a link to review between appointments. Ask for as many changes as you like, and pay once you approve it. If you don't go ahead, you owe nothing.
