Website Design for Accountants in Hervey Bay

Websites for tax agents, BAS agents and accounting practices on the Fraser Coast, from Pialba, Urangan and Torquay to Eli Waters, Toogoom and across to Maryborough. Retirees, families handling a parent's estate, builders and trades, and the people taking new jobs in the region can each find the help you offer, and reach you without fuss.

What a Hervey Bay practice's website should cover

The Fraser Coast council area has an older population than most: a median age of 51.9 in the ABS's June 2024 estimate, against 47.5 in Bundaberg and 35.7 in Brisbane. Yet its biggest business group is construction, with 1,538 of the 7,104 businesses counted in June 2025. A practice site here is read by retirees, by their adult children, and by the builders and trades putting up the homes new residents move into.

  • A page for executors

When a parent dies, the person handling the estate often lives in Brisbane or interstate and has never dealt with the ATO on someone else's behalf. A calm, plain page on the estate work you do, and how to start by phone or email, is the page they'll be looking for.

  • Retirees, with plain wording

Pension-age clients want to know whether they still need a return, what you charge for a simple one and whether you'll see them in person. Answer those on the page, in readable type, with your phone number big enough to tap.

  • Builders and trades as a client group

Construction businesses on the Fraser Coast rose from 1,241 in June 2021 to 1,538 in June 2025. A page for builders, subcontractors and trades, covering BAS, payroll, vehicles and growth, speaks to the largest group of local businesses.

  • Health and care businesses

The ABS count of health care and social assistance businesses in the council area grew from 511 to 820 over the same four years. If you act for allied health clinics, home care providers or support workers, give them a section that names them.

  • Hervey Bay and Maryborough both named

The council area is centred on two cities, and people in Maryborough search for an accountant by their own town's name. Say which office you work from, whether you see clients in the other city, and how to reach you.

  • A welcome for people moving in

People move to the region to retire or for work, including health and building jobs and, from 2026, train manufacturing at Torbanlea. A short paragraph for clients who've just moved, saying you can take over from their old accountant, makes switching feel easy.

Accounting on the Fraser Coast: estates, retirees and a building boom

Rules you share with the rest of Queensland. Practices on the Fraser Coast register with the Tax Practitioners Board and deal with the Queensland Revenue Office like any practice in the state; our Brisbane accountants page covers showing your registration. Our Sunshine Coast page explains how to describe super and SMSF work accurately, and our Moreton Bay page covers the QBCC's minimum financial requirement reports for builders. This section is about Hervey Bay.

Twin cities, one council. Fraser Coast Regional Council was created in 2008 when the City of Hervey Bay merged with the City of Maryborough, the Shire of Woocoo and part of Tiaro Shire. The ABS estimated 122,924 residents in June 2025. Hervey Bay began as a string of small seaside villages that grew together and became suburbs, and people still search by those names: Point Vernon, Pialba, Scarness, Torquay and Urangan along the water, Urraween, Kawungan and Eli Waters behind them, and Dundowran and Toogoom further west. People search by those names, so list the ones you serve, and say plainly whether a Maryborough client needs to come to Hervey Bay or the other way round.

Estates are everyday work here. With a median age close to 52, many local practices handle deceased estates. The ATO's guidance walks through who can act as the legal personal representative and how they can appoint a tax agent, working out whether a final 'date of death' return is needed, lodging trust returns for the estate, and checking that all tax obligations are complete before the assets are distributed. A website can't do any of that for a grieving family, but a page that says you help executors through those steps, links to the ATO's deceased estates pages and explains how to get started from another city makes the first call much easier.

Building, health care and a train factory. Between June 2021 and June 2025, construction businesses on the Fraser Coast grew by 24% and health care and social assistance businesses by 60%, both well ahead of the region's 18% rise in businesses overall. In June 2026 the Queensland Government said manufacturing was underway at the Torbanlea facility near Maryborough, building 65 six-car passenger trains, with nearly 200 blue-collar and 100 white-collar jobs expected once production is in full swing. Trades, fabricators and professionals taking those jobs, and the subcontractors building new estates, are all potential clients who'll compare practices online before they ring.

How we'd work together. We're an Adelaide team at Ste 3/110 Hutt St and build for Fraser Coast practices by phone and email. You send your services, registration details and photos of your team and office, we turn them into a draft and send the link, and you pay once you approve it. If you don't go ahead, you owe nothing.

Two client sites with ideas for a Fraser Coast practice

Neither is an accounting firm. One was built for older readers and the families who arrange care for them; the other links priced packages to online booking. The review below is from the accounting firm we built a website for.

Home page of the Golden Years Aged Care Support website

Golden Years Aged Care Support

Home & care services · Northern Adelaide

An aged care support service in northern Adelaide: six pages, large readable text, nine services explained on one page, an enquiry form with a referral option and tap-to-call everywhere. The same approach suits a practice whose readers include retirees and the adult children handling their affairs.

Home page of the Resolve Forward website

Resolve Forward

Professional services · Sydney

A Sydney mediation practice with six service pages, FAQs, priced packages linked to online booking and a five-step intake form. A Hervey Bay practice could use the intake idea for estate enquiries, asking who has died, who the executor is and where they live, before the first call.

“Salem was fantastic to work with on our accounting firm’s website. From day one, he was professional, responsive…”

Questions Hervey Bay practices ask us

How should a page about deceased estates be written?

Plainly and gently. Say what you help executors with, roughly how the process runs, and how to start, including from another city. Link to the ATO's deceased estates pages for the rules. A short form that asks for the executor's name and best contact time helps more than a long explanation.

Many of our clients are in their seventies and eighties. What helps them online?

Larger text, strong contrast, short pages, your phone number at the top of every page and a simple enquiry form. Avoid pop-ups and small grey type. The same choices help everyone else reading on a phone.

We have offices in Hervey Bay and Maryborough. Do we need two sites?

No. One site with a contact page that sets out both offices, each with its address, hours and map, works well. If either city brings in a lot of work, it can have a short page of its own; we quote new pages before adding them.

Can we put fees for pension-age returns on the website?

Yes, if you set fixed starting prices. A short fees table with a line on what changes the price lets a retiree decide before they ring. Fee changes later are text changes, covered by the $30 monthly hosting.

How do we work with a team that's based in Adelaide?

By phone and email. We're a South Australian web design team working with businesses Australia-wide, with current clients in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. You send your words and photos, we send a draft link to review, and you pay once you approve it. We reply within 24 hours.

Ready for a website that Fraser Coast clients find easy?

Tell us who you look after, from retirees and executors to builders and clinics, and whether you work from Hervey Bay, Maryborough or both. We'll send a fixed quote, build the draft, and you pay once you've approved it.
