How Much Does a Website for Bathroom Renovators Cost in Australia?
A 2026 national guide prices a mid-range bathroom renovation at around $27,000, and a small business website at $2,000–$6,000. For a renovator, the cost of a site comes down to how many kinds of room you take on, whether you publish a price guide, how you explain the weeks a bathroom is out of action, and what your enquiry form asks. Here's how those choices add up, and our fixed prices.
- From $399, no GST added

What a renovation costs, and where a website sits
A national cost guide verified in November 2026 lists $800–$3,000 for a one-page landing site, $2,000–$6,000 for a small business website and $6,000–$15,000 for a custom design. Its bathroom renovation guide, GST included, gives these figures:
| Job or item | Range | Typical |
|---|---|---|
| Cosmetic refresh | $5,000–$12,000 | not given |
| Basic renovation, budget fittings | $10,000–$20,000 | $15,000 |
| Mid-range renovation | $20,000–$35,000 | $27,000 |
| Premium renovation | $35,000–$55,000 | $42,000 |
| Ensuite of 3–5 m², same layout | $15,000–$30,000 | $21,000 |
| Waterproofing | $700–$3,500 | $1,400 |
| Frameless shower screen | $800–$2,500 | $1,500 |
| Toilet, supply and install | $400–$1,200 | $700 |
Our bathroom renovation websites cost $399 for one page, $899 for up to three pages and $1,499 for up to eight. The one-page site costs less than the bottom of the guide's range for supplying and fitting a toilet, and the eight-page site is about the price of a typical frameless shower screen. No GST is added, as we aren't registered for it. You pay nothing up front: we build the draft, you ask for changes until you're happy, and you pay once you approve it.
Three kinds of business that do bathrooms
"Bathroom renovator" covers businesses that look quite different online, and the one you run decides how many pages are worth paying for:
- A plumber or tiler who also renovates bathrooms. Bathrooms sit beside your other work. A section on the home page with a few finished rooms and a line on who manages the other trades is usually enough, so the $399 site often fits.
- A specialist bathroom company. Bathrooms, ensuites and powder rooms are all you do. A home page, a gallery and a page explaining your process, with a price guide on one of them, fits the $899 site, and that's the one we'd usually suggest.
- A renovation builder with bathrooms among several services. Kitchens, laundries, extensions and whole-home work each need room. Up to eight pages at $1,499 gives bathrooms a page of their own alongside the rest.
Two of our clients show both ends. M.J. Debney Plumbing & Gas, a licensed plumber and gas fitter in Queensland, lists bathroom renovations among six services on a single-page site with a 13-photo gallery that swipes on mobile. Bright Building & Renovations, a licensed builder in Adelaide doing kitchen, bathroom, laundry and whole-home renovations, has a 30-page site with seven service pages, five planning guides and a seven-step quote form. That second site is well beyond our largest fixed package; it shows where a renovation business can take its site over time, adding a page when a service is worth more attention, with each addition quoted first.
A price guide on the site: worth it, and free to add
Homeowners planning a bathroom have usually read figures like the ones above before they call anyone, and many have a number in their head. If your work starts at $25,000 and theirs is $12,000, both of you lose an hour on a measure-up that was never going to go ahead.
A short price guide in your own words filters those enquiries without promising a figure you can't hold to. Some ways renovators set it out:
- a "from" price for a standard main bathroom with the layout unchanged;
- separate starting points for a refresh, a full strip-out and a layout change;
- a list of what pushes the price up: moving the toilet or shower, a freestanding bath, floor-to-ceiling tiles, a niche, underfloor heating;
- a note that a fixed quote follows the measure-up.
On our sites a price guide is text like any other, so it adds nothing to the build price, and changing the figures when your costs move is covered by hosting. A calculator that produces a price from a visitor's choices is a different matter: it's custom work, and we'd quote it before building it.
Explaining the weeks without a bathroom
For many households, the cost that worries them isn't the quote; it's the weeks of showering at the gym or a relative's place. A page or section laying out your stages, with how long each usually takes on your jobs, answers the question every customer asks:
- strip-out and disposal;
- plumbing and electrical rough-in;
- any wall, floor or framing repairs found once the old tiles are off;
- waterproofing and curing;
- tiling and grouting;
- fit-off of vanity, toilet, tapware and screen;
- final clean and handover.
Add who the customer's contact is from start to finish, whether you manage every trade, and what happens if hidden damage turns up behind the old tiles. If you have it, a short note on the standard your waterproofing follows (AS 3740 covers domestic wet areas) and the certificate the customer receives belongs here too. As text on an existing page, none of this changes the price; as a page of its own, it counts towards your package.
Licences, contracts and insurance customers look for
A full bathroom renovation usually involves several licensed trades and, above certain values, contract and insurance rules. Careful homeowners check these, and in some states the licence details must appear in advertising, websites included. This is a summary of official guidance, not advice; confirm the current position with your regulator.
| State | Licence or registration | Insurance | Advertising |
|---|---|---|---|
| NSW | A contractor licence for residential building or trade work over $5,000 in labour and materials, GST included. Waterproofing and wall and floor tiling are among the licensed categories. | The licensed builder or trade contractor must hold home building compensation cover before starting residential work priced over $20,000, GST included. | Licensee name, licence number, category of work and a business phone number in all advertising, the internet included. |
| Victoria | Registration with the Building and Plumbing Commission for work over $10,000, unless the work involves only one listed trade, such as tiling or plumbing, which a full renovation usually doesn't. | A major domestic building contract is needed above $10,000. Consumer Affairs Victoria gives $16,000 as the domestic building insurance threshold before 1 July 2026, and $20,000 for home warranty insurance from that date. | Check current Building and Plumbing Commission guidance. |
| Queensland | A QBCC licence for building work over $3,300. | Check QBCC guidance for the job. | Websites count as advertising: your licensed name, licence number and a statement that you're licensed under the QBCC Act. |
Other states and territories have their own rules. Whatever applies to you, we put licence details in the footer of every page and can add a short line on your insurance and contract terms in your words, at no extra cost. A renovation business that can show its paperwork plainly gives a nervous homeowner one less reason to keep looking.
Enquiry forms and design consultations
A bathroom enquiry is worth more when it arrives with the facts. Questions that help you decide whether to quote, and what to bring to the measure-up:
- main bathroom, ensuite, powder room or more than one;
- rough room size;
- keep the layout, or move the shower, toilet or vanity;
- bath or no bath;
- a budget band, set in your ranges;
- when they'd like work to start;
- photos of the room now, and any inspiration photos.
Every site we build includes a contact or quote form, and we can set yours to take photos. A multi-step form that asks the layout question first and changes the questions that follow is included in your fixed quote once we've planned it with you. If you book design consultations or showroom visits through a tool such as Calendly, we link it from every page. If you want consultations booked, or deposits taken, through a system built into your own site, that's quoted per job after we understand how your diary works.
Hosting, changes and the first-year total
The national web design guide lists care plans at $50–$300 a month. For sites we build, hosting is $30 a month after launch with no contract. It includes security monitoring, backups, email support and unlimited text and image changes on your existing pages. The domain is about $20 a year, registered in your name, and we set up business email on it.
Renovators tend to send us finished bathrooms for the gallery, updated starting prices, a note about lead times, and new suburbs. All are covered. A new page, for laundries or kitchens once you add them, is quoted before we start.
| Package | Build | Hosting, 12 months | Domain | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| One page | $399 | $360 | about $20 | about $779 |
| Up to 3 pages | $899 | $360 | about $20 | about $1,279 |
| Up to 8 pages | $1,499 | $360 | about $20 | about $1,879 |
After the first year, any of them costs about $380 a year. Even the largest first-year total is under the guide's typical figure for waterproofing a single bathroom, plus a toilet.
When a renovation company should spend more
An agency with a bigger budget is the right call if you:
- want 3D design renders or an online room planner built into the site;
- need a photographer or videographer for finished bathrooms and walk-throughs;
- sell fixtures and tiles from a showroom and want a large product catalogue online;
- want ongoing SEO and paid advertising managed for you.
We don't write copy, take photos or manage ads, and we don't promise enquiries or rankings, so a business that depends on those services is better served by a firm that offers them. If you can send your own words and good phone photos, much of a larger quote goes on work you'd be doing anyway. If you sell a small range of products, our online stores start at $799. Bathroom renovation website cost questions
How much does a website for a bathroom renovation business cost?
A national 2026 guide puts most small business websites at $2,000–$6,000. We charge $399 for one page, $899 for up to three and $1,499 for up to eight, with no GST added and nothing to pay until you approve the draft.
Should a bathroom renovator put prices on the website?
A starting price, or ranges for a refresh versus a full renovation, filters out enquiries that don't match your work. It's your decision and your wording, and it costs nothing extra on our sites.
Can customers book a design consultation online?
Yes. If you already use a booking tool such as Calendly, we link it from every page. A booking or payment system built into your own site is quoted per job once we know how your diary works.
Do my licence and insurance details need to be on the site?
In NSW and Queensland, official guidance expects licence details in advertising, including websites. Insurance and contract rules vary by state and contract value. Check with your regulator; we can show whatever details apply on every page.
Can new bathrooms be added to the gallery after launch?
Yes. Adding photos to an existing gallery page is an image change covered by the $30 monthly hosting. A new page, such as one for kitchens, is quoted first.
How long does a bathroom renovation website take?
Most sites are live within 5–10 days of us getting your words and photos; bigger sites (up to 8 pages) take 2–3 weeks. Matching before and after photos is usually the slowest part.
