Website Design for Bathroom Renovators in Perth

Websites for Perth bathroom renovation businesses that make the WA position clear: whose registration and licence numbers sit behind the job, when home indemnity insurance applies, what paperwork the owner gets at the end, and which suburbs you'll quote in, from the northern coastal strip to the hills and down to Mandurah.

What a Perth bathroom renovator's site should settle

In New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria a renovator can point to a licence or registration class written around kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. Western Australia doesn't work that way. Building and Energy registers builders and licenses plumbers, electricians and gasfitters, so a Perth bathroom job rests on a mix of numbers held by different people. Owners who have read the regulator's warnings want that mix explained before they sign.

  • Each number, next to the person who holds it

If your business is a registered building contractor, the registration number belongs in your advertising, website included. If you hold a plumbing contractor's licence (PL) or an electrical contractor's licence (EC), those numbers have advertising rules of their own. If you bring in a plumber and an electrician, say so and name the trade rather than letting a visitor assume one number covers everything. We set this out as a short panel on the home page and again on the contact page.

  • Home indemnity, answered before anyone pays

For home building work that needs a building permit and is worth more than $20,000, a WA builder has to arrange home indemnity insurance and give the owner a copy of the certificate, and Building and Energy tells owners not to pay anything until that cover is in place. A sentence saying which of your jobs that applies to, and that the owner gets the certificate first, answers the question Building and Energy tells owners to ask. Where a job sits under the threshold or doesn't need a permit, the site can say that too, in your words.

  • A quote form that separates a refresh from a rebuild

A new vanity, tapware and a regrout is a different job from moving the shower, taking out a wall or turning a laundry into a second ensuite. The form asks which of those it is, whether fixtures move, roughly what the owner expects to spend, whether the home is a house, villa or apartment, and whether it's on a heritage list. Photo uploads come last. You get enough to tell, before calling back, whether permits and registration are likely to come into it.

  • The handover paperwork, listed by name

Owners rarely know what they should be given when the job finishes. A page that names each document helps: the electrical safety certificate, which a licensed electrical contractor must provide within 28 days of most installing work; the plumber's certificate of compliance where the plumbing work calls for one; your own warranty terms; and the photos of the waterproofing stage you took before tiling.

  • Hard-water advice for the suburbs that need it

Water Corporation's own figures show some northern localities with scheme water several times harder than the hills supply. If you recommend particular screen coatings, tapware finishes or cleaning routines for those areas, a short section in your own words, linked to Water Corporation's published tables, is the kind of local detail a national franchise page won't have.

  • Galleries captioned by home and era

Captions along the lines of “Main bathroom, 1970s brick-and-tile house, Duncraig”, “Ensuite added off a laundry, Ellenbrook” or “Second-floor apartment bathroom, East Perth”. Add whether fixtures moved and how long the room was out of use. A visitor in a similar house reads that as evidence; a gallery of anonymous white tiles tells them very little.

  • A section for landlords and property managers

WA rentals need at least two RCDs on the switchboard before they're leased, and an agent planning a bathroom refit between tenancies wants to know the switchboard will be checked while the electrician is there. A short page on how you handle keys, tenants and turnaround, and who signs off the electrical side, speaks to people who may send you several properties a year.

Renovating bathrooms in Perth: registration, heritage lists, water and paperwork

Registration and contracts, in brief. Our page for Perth builders covers the rule in full: most work that needs a building permit and is worth $20,000 or more has to be done by a registered building contractor, and home indemnity insurance is required where permit work is worth more than $20,000, and whether a particular bathroom needs a permit is a question for the local government. Our Perth tilers page explains the Home Building Contracts Act's 6.5 per cent deposit cap for fixed-price home building work between $7,500 and $500,000. One case shows why owners look for this on a renovator's website. In July 2024 Gregory Hall, trading as Longhorn Building Company and Down South Bathroom Renovations, was ordered by a Bunbury magistrate to pay $6,100 in fines and costs over a renovation that took in a kitchen, bathroom and laundry. He had been paid $37,635 for work he never finished, took a 69.4 per cent deposit and has never been registered.

Heritage-listed houses. Under WA's planning regulations, internal work that doesn't materially change a building's outside appearance is generally exempt from development approval, but heritage-protected places are treated differently. The City of Fremantle's Local Planning Policy 1.7, revised in 2026, shows how one council handles it. Interior works to a building on its Heritage List don't need development approval where they're confined to things such as an existing kitchen, bathroom or laundry fit-out with no structural alterations, retiling, light fittings, and electrical and plumbing work, unless the place is Level 1A or 1B on the local list, on the State Register of Heritage Places, or under a heritage order or agreement. The same policy says works to a heritage-protected place otherwise need approval unless the table exempts them, and that an exemption from planning approval doesn't remove the need for a building permit or strata approval. Other councils, Subiaco and Claremont among them, keep heritage lists and policies of their own. The state's inHerit database holds State Register entries alongside local government heritage lists, searchable by the public, so a quote form that links to it can flag the job before you price it.

Scheme water that varies by suburb. Perth's drinking water is a blend of groundwater, desalinated seawater and dam water, and the mix changes across the city. Water Corporation's drinking water quality report for July 2024 to June 2025 gives average hardness of 228 mg/L for Two Rocks, the only Perth locality carrying the note that elevated hardness is characteristic of its source, with Yanchep at 198, Neerabup at 190, Wanneroo at 125, Mirrabooka at 124, Whitfords at 113 and Mount Hawthorn at 106. At the other end, Dwellingup averaged 29, the Hills Direct locality 48, Bold Park 49, Mandurah 50 and Melville 54. A renovator working mainly in the northern growth suburbs will hear about scale on glass and tapware far more than one working around Fremantle or Mandurah. If that shapes what you recommend, a paragraph on it, in your words and pointing to Water Corporation's tables, belongs on the site.

Electrical and plumbing sign-off. WA requires all electrical work to be done by licensed people, and licensed electrical contractors must show their licence number, which starts with EC, in all advertising. Building and Energy's consumer brochure says the contractor must give the customer an electrical safety certificate within 28 days of finishing any installing work other than maintenance and like-for-like replacement, and that an owner who doesn't receive one should ask the contractor and, failing that, tell the network operator, which across Perth is Western Power. Our Perth electricians page covers those rules and the RCD requirements for homes being sold or rented. Plumbing has a matching system run by the Plumbers Licensing Board, with a notice of intention before major plumbing work and a certificate of compliance afterwards, which our Perth plumbers page explains. Older homes add one more step: the City of Cockburn lists asbestos cement sheeting in bathroom walls, ceilings and floors among the places asbestos turns up, and limits what residents may remove themselves, so say who checks and who removes it.

Where you work, and how we work with you. Perth owners describe where they live by corridor and river as often as by council: north or south of the river, the northern coastal suburbs, the eastern hills around Kalamunda and Mundaring, the Fremantle area, the south-west corridor out to Rockingham, and Mandurah, which sits in the Peel region rather than the metropolitan one. List the suburbs you'll quote in under headings like those. WebCraft Studio is an Adelaide team at Ste 3/110 Hutt St, and Perth renovators deal with us by phone and email; Adelaide runs an hour and a half ahead of Perth, two and a half during South Australian daylight saving. Our clients so far are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD, and we haven't built a WA site yet, so your pages are built from the registration details, photos, suburb list and words you send us.

Sites of ours a Perth renovator's could borrow from

We haven't built a site for a bathroom renovator in Perth, or for any WA business. The closest work in our portfolio is a South Australian renovation builder whose work includes bathrooms, and an Adelaide painting company whose site lets a visitor search by suburb or postcode, which suits a business spread across a city as long as Perth.

Home page of the Bright Building & Renovations website

Bright Building & Renovations

Trades & construction · Adelaide, Adelaide Hills & Fleurieu

A licensed South Australian builder doing kitchen, bathroom, laundry and whole-home renovations as well as extensions and new homes. Its 30 pages include seven service pages, seven service-area pages, five planning guides, a project gallery, an FAQ and a seven-step quote form. A Perth renovator could use the same planning-guide format for permits and heritage, home indemnity and handover paperwork.

Home page of the SA Painting Professionals website

SA Painting Professionals

Trades & construction · Adelaide & all of SA

An Adelaide painting company working on homes and businesses. The site has 12 detailed service pages, region pages across South Australia, a suburb and postcode search, an online quote form and tap-to-call throughout. The postcode search is the part worth borrowing: an owner in Yanchep or Baldivis can check straight away whether you'll come to them.

Perth renovators' questions, answered

Can an Adelaide team build a website for a Perth bathroom renovator?

Yes. WebCraft Studio is a web design team in Adelaide, South Australia, working with businesses Australia-wide by phone and email, and our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. We haven't built a WA site yet. You email your words, registration and licence details, photos and suburbs, we send a draft link you can check on your phone, and nothing is owed until you approve it. We reply within 24 hours.

We're not a registered builder. What should our site say?

Describe the work you do and who does each licensed part, and leave out any registration number that isn't yours; our Perth builders page explains why quoting another contractor's number is a problem. If you take on jobs under $20,000, or work that doesn't need a building permit, the site can describe that work plainly. The Home Building Contracts Act still applies to fixed-price home building work from $7,500, so keep any payment terms to one line linked to Building and Energy.

Should we mention hard water on our website?

If it changes what you recommend, yes. Water Corporation's 2024–25 figures show average hardness of 228 mg/L at Two Rocks and 198 at Yanchep, against 50 at Mandurah and 54 at Melville. A few sentences on the finishes or care you suggest for the harder northern suburbs, with a link to Water Corporation's tables, is useful local detail. Leave out promises that a screen or tap will stay free of marks.

Can the quote form ask whether the house is heritage listed?

Yes. It can ask the question and link to the state's inHerit database for owners who aren't sure. In Fremantle, for example, interior bathroom work on a Heritage List building with no structural change is exempt from development approval unless the place is Level 1A or 1B, on the State Register, or under a heritage order or agreement. The council gives the final answer; the form just flags the job before you price it.

What paperwork should we tell owners to expect at the end?

Whatever your jobs actually produce, named on one page: the electrical safety certificate, which WA requires within 28 days of most installing work; the plumber's certificate of compliance where the work needs one; the home indemnity certificate on permit jobs over $20,000, which owners should have before paying anything; your warranty terms; and photos of the waterproofing. We lay out the list you give us and link each item to the regulator's own page.

Which package suits a Perth bathroom renovator?

A sole trader doing refreshes in a few suburbs is often well served by the one-page site at $399. Most renovators who quote full rebuilds suit the 3-page site at $899 because it gives the gallery and the job process their own pages. The 8-page site at $1,499 fits a business with crews taking on heritage homes, apartments, laundries and landlord work across several corridors.

Ready to show Perth owners your bathrooms?

Send us your registration and licence details, or the names and numbers of the trades you use, a dozen before-and-after pairs, your own words about how a job runs and the suburbs you'll drive to. We build the draft, you ask for as many changes as you like, and you pay once you approve it.
