Website Design for Painters on the Sunshine Coast

Websites for painters working the Sunshine Coast and Noosa, from Caloundra and the new Aura suburbs to Maroochydore, Nambour, Noosaville and the range towns. Separate pages for new builds, repaints and unit complexes, your QBCC licence on every page, and a quote form that sorts a builder's schedule from a homeowner's photos.

What a Sunshine Coast painter's website needs

On the Sunshine Coast a painter's work can come from three places: builders finishing new homes in the growth areas, owners repainting houses along the coast and up the range, and bodies corporate looking after unit complexes. A good site lets each of them find their part quickly.

  • Both council areas, then your towns

Noosa has been a separate shire again since 2014, so name it alongside the Sunshine Coast and list the towns you cover in each: Caloundra, Kawana, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Buderim, Nambour and Coolum Beach on one side; Noosaville, Noosa Heads, Tewantin, Sunshine Beach, Peregian Beach and Cooroy on the other.

  • A page for builders' new-home work

Builders want to see capacity: crew size, how soon you can start after plaster, how you work around other trades on site and how you clear the defects list before handover. Photos of finished interiors in the newer suburbs help, credited to a builder only where they've agreed.

  • Unit complexes on their own page

Committees and strata managers compare painters on past complexes, notices to residents, staging and insurances. A page carrying those, and a quote form that asks for the number of lots and the manager's details, keeps that work apart from house repaints.

  • Range and hinterland jobs, if you take them

Say plainly whether you go up to Maleny, Montville and Palmwoods, or out to Beerwah and Landsborough, and whether the travel changes your quote. An owner on the range then knows to ring you instead of wondering.

  • Galleries sorted by job type

New-build interiors, exterior repaints, deck and timber finishes, roofs: sorted so a builder lands on new work and an owner lands on repaints. Every photo gets a short caption with the suburb and what was done.

  • A quote form that sorts a builder from an owner

The form opens by asking whether it's a new build, a repaint or a complex. A builder can attach plans and a schedule; an owner can attach photos of the walls and say which rooms or sides of the house need doing.

Painting on the Sunshine Coast: two councils, a growth area in the south and plenty of units

Licensing and advertising rules for painters are set by the state, so they're the same here as in Brisbane: a QBCC licence for painting work valued at more than $3,300, and your licensed name, licence number and a statement that you're licensed under the QBCC Act wherever you advertise, website included. Our Brisbane painters page explains them, along with the QBCC's figures on painting defects.

The coast is covered by two councils. Noosa was merged into the Sunshine Coast Region in March 2008 and re-established as a shire of its own on 1 January 2014, after its residents voted for de-amalgamation in 2013. The Sunshine Coast council area had 381,957 residents at 30 June 2025 on the state statistician's preliminary figures, having added 7,659 over the year; Noosa is counted separately.

In the south, a whole new community is being built. The Caloundra South priority development area, about 2,360 hectares that council says will house up to 50,000 residents in 20,000 dwellings over 30 to 40 years, is being developed by Stockland as Aura, with new suburbs such as Baringa and Banya. Economic Development Queensland, not council, assesses development there. In the year to June 2025 the statistical area covering Caloundra West and Baringa added 1,980 people, the second-largest increase of any area of its kind in Queensland. For a painter who works for builders, that's where a builders' page and a gallery of finished new interiors are worth having.

Unit and townhouse complexes add another stream of work. Titles Queensland's count by council area, last updated in February 2022, put 4,982 community titles schemes in the Sunshine Coast council area and another 1,395 in Noosa. Queensland bodies corporate budget for big one-off costs such as painting through a sinking fund planned years ahead; our Gold Coast painters page explains how that works and what a committee looks for.

We're an Adelaide team at Hutt St and work with Sunshine Coast businesses by phone and email. You send photos, your licence details and the towns you cover, and we send a draft link to look over between jobs; you pay only once you approve it.

Painting and service-area websites we've built

We haven't built for a Sunshine Coast painter yet. SA Painting Professionals is our painting client in Adelaide, and Phoenix Housekeeping shows how a business serving several council areas can set out where it goes, which is the Sunshine Coast and Noosa question on a smaller scale.

Questions from Sunshine Coast painters

Should the site treat Noosa separately from the rest of the coast?

Name it separately, yes. Noosa has been its own shire since 2014, and listing Noosaville, Tewantin, Sunshine Beach or Cooroy under a Noosa heading makes it obvious you work there. Whether it needs a page of its own depends on how much of your work is there; for most painters a heading in the service-area list is enough.

We do a lot of new-build work in Aura. Can the site speak to builders?

Yes. A builders' page covers crew size, lead times, how you work with other trades and how you clear the defects list before handover, with photos of finished new interiors. Name builders or estates only where they're happy to be named.

Do we still need our QBCC licence on the site if we mostly work for builders?

Yes. The QBCC's advertising rules apply to your website whoever your customers are: your licensed name, licence number and a statement that you're licensed under the QBCC Act, legible and reasonably prominent. We put them in the footer of every page.

Can we show unit complexes we've repainted?

Yes, with the body corporate's permission if the building is named. Otherwise a caption by town, building type and scope does the job, such as "Three-storey unit complex, Mooloolaba: exterior repaint and balconies".

You're in Adelaide. How do we work together?
