Website Design for Plumbers in Bunbury

For plumbers and gas fitters across Greater Bunbury: a site that shows your PL number, makes clear whose water customers you deal with, and gives someone holding an unexpectedly large Aqwest bill a reason to ring you first.

What Bunbury customers look for on a plumber's site

In Bunbury, Picton and parts of Dalyellup the drinking water comes from Aqwest; a few minutes up the road in Australind or Eaton it doesn't. Customers may not think about who supplies them until something goes wrong, but they notice when a plumber's site talks about the supplier on their bill and the forms that supplier asks for.

  • Hidden leaks, and the allowance that follows

Aqwest can credit up to half the estimated water lost through a genuine hidden leak, such as a broken underground pipe or one inside a wall or under paving. The claim has to go in within three months of the leak being found or the high-use notice, and include a digital copy of the repair invoice from a licensed plumber. A leak-detection section that mentions this gives a worried customer a clear next step.

  • The leaks Aqwest won't credit

Leaks at taps, toilet cisterns, hot water systems and appliances are excluded, as are pools and spas, leaks on vacant land or building sites, and internal plumbing that is clearly substandard and doesn't meet AS/NZS 3500. One sentence saying so on your leak page saves an awkward conversation after the job is done.

  • Weak pressure and old galvanised pipe

Aqwest's own advice is that low pressure inside a home can come from corroded pipes, an elevated block or an old galvanised iron private service, and that a licensed plumber is who to call. If you re-pipe older houses, say so and show it: the corroded pipe you removed next to the new run, captioned with the suburb.

  • Toilet swaps under the current rebate

Aqwest's dual flush toilet rebate runs from 1 July 2026 to 31 May 2027, or until the money runs out, for replacing single flush toilets or dual flush ones fitted before 1995. The new toilet must be installed by a licensed plumber, and the customer's application needs your licence number. A short rebate section brings that enquiry to you.

  • Meter relocations and reconnections

When a meter is moved, Aqwest relocates the meter itself and the owner arranges a licensed plumber to reconnect the internal pipework, after the property has been pegged at the new spot. Renovators widening a driveway or rebuilding a front fence search for exactly that, so name it as a service.

  • Licence and gas permit, each labelled

Your plumbing contractor's number goes in the footer of every page with the name it's issued to. Bunbury, Capel, Harvey and Kemerton are all on ATCO's gas distribution network, so if you hold a gasfitting permit, its number sits alongside the PL number with its own label.

Plumbing in Greater Bunbury: one licence, two utilities

Licensing is statewide. A Bunbury plumber holds the same Plumbers Licensing Board licence as one in Perth, and the rule that your PL number appears in your advertising is the same too. Our Perth plumbers page explains those regulations, along with the notice and certificate of compliance for a hot water replacement. The part that's different in Bunbury is who supplies the water.

Aqwest's patch. Aqwest, the trading name of the Bunbury Water Corporation, holds a licence for the Greater Bunbury region from Myalup and Harvey down to Capel, but at present supplies drinking water only to Bunbury, Picton and parts of Dalyellup, and tells Dalyellup residents to check their bill if they're not sure. Wastewater is another utility again: the Bunbury Wastewater Treatment Plant belongs to the Water Corporation, and Aqwest's planned water recovery scheme would treat recycled water from it to irrigate the Hay Park sporting precinct. Aqwest points customers outside its area to the Water Corporation's or Busselton Water's own programs, so a site covering Australind, Eaton and Bunbury should say which supplier's paperwork you can help with.

Where Aqwest's job ends. Aqwest maintains the mains, the stop tap and the meter. From the valve just before the meter into the building, the pipes are the owner's, and any work on them has to be done by a licensed plumber. Meters are generally about half a metre in from the front boundary, and owners must keep a clear space around them of at least 300 mm horizontally and 1,200 mm vertically. A relocation starts with Aqwest's relocation or disconnection form and a plan showing the existing and proposed meter positions; Aqwest quotes, the owner pays in full and pegs the new location, and Aqwest then moves the meter within 10 working days or on an agreed date. Testable backflow devices in its area are tested once every 12 months by an accredited backflow plumber, and the results go to Aqwest within 5 working days of the test.

Water quality and hot water units. Aqwest describes its water as about 100 mg/L of calcium carbonate, which it calls moderately soft to slightly hard, and says hardness affects how long hot water systems last and the warranty on some dishwashers. Its quick check for pressure is filling a 10-litre bucket from the tap nearest the meter: 30 seconds or more suggests the pressure may be low and should be reported to Aqwest, while problems inside the home, such as corroded pipes or an old galvanised service, are a job for a licensed private plumber. Both are useful lines for a plumber explaining hot water servicing or a re-pipe.

Suburbs, and working with us. The City of Bunbury is compact, with localities such as East Bunbury, Glen Iris, Usher, Withers, College Grove and Pelican Point. At the 2021 census it had 32,987 residents, while the Shires of Harvey, Capel and Dardanup, which share the Greater Bunbury Region Scheme with it, had about 61,000 between them. Customers search by those names, so list the ones you'll go to. We're an Adelaide team working with South West businesses by phone and email, and we haven't yet built for a WA client, so the examples below are from Queensland and South Australia. Bunbury keeps Perth time, 1.5 hours behind Adelaide, or 2.5 hours during South Australian daylight saving.

Sites we've built for a plumber and a painter

M.J. Debney Plumbing & Gas, our plumbing client, is in Queensland, and SA Painting Professionals works across South Australia. Neither is in WA; they're here for the layouts a Bunbury plumber could use.

Trades & construction · Queensland

A Queensland plumbing and gas business. Its six services sit side by side on a single page, which is how a Bunbury plumber's leak detection, re-piping, toilet replacements and hot water work could be laid out, each with its own photos.

“…Salem walked us through everything, gave us a fixed quote so we knew exactly what we were paying, and turned around the build faster than we thought possible.”

Questions Bunbury plumbers ask us

Should our site explain Aqwest's leak allowance?

A short version helps. A customer with a hidden leak can claim up to half the estimated water lost if a licensed plumber repairs it, the application goes in within three months, and your invoice is part of it. Link to Aqwest's leaks page for the full criteria, so your site stays accurate if they change.

We also work in Australind and Eaton. Does that change anything?

The plumbing doesn't, but the supplier does. Those homes are outside the area Aqwest currently supplies, so its leak allowance and rebates don't apply to them. If you cover both, a line saying you work with customers of either supplier, and links to each one's leak and rebate pages, keeps it clear.

Is it worth putting the toilet rebate on our site?

If you replace old toilets, yes, while it lasts. Aqwest's dual flush rebate is open until 31 May 2027 or until funding runs out, needs a licensed plumber's installation and asks for your licence number. We'd put it in its own section so it can come down when the rebate closes; text changes are covered by the $30 monthly hosting.

How should we show re-piping and low-pressure work?

With before and after photos: the corroded section you cut out beside the new pipework, captioned with the suburb. Add one line on the symptoms people notice, such as a weak shower or a trickle when two taps run at once, so a customer recognises their own problem.

What does a Bunbury plumbing website cost from an Adelaide team?

The same as anywhere: $399 for one page, $899 for up to 3 pages and $1,499 for up to 8, with no GST added. We work by phone and email, build the draft first, and you pay only when you approve it. We reply within 24 hours.
