Website Design for NDIS Providers on the Sunshine Coast

Websites for disability support providers working from Caloundra to Coolum, through the hinterland towns and up to Noosa. Participants, families and coordinators can tell your NDIS supports apart from any aged care you offer, see where your workers go and send a referral.

What a Sunshine Coast provider's website needs to show

The Sunshine Coast has an older population than Brisbane, a hinterland where a lot of participants live, and a separate council at its northern end. Each of those changes what belongs on a disability provider's site.

  • NDIS and aged care on separate pages

If you deliver NDIS supports and also Support at Home or other aged care services, give each its own page with its own contact path. They have different eligibility, different funding and different rules, and a daughter looking for help for her 70-year-old father shouldn't have to work out which half of a mixed page applies.

  • Hinterland towns listed, not implied

A line saying "Sunshine Coast" doesn't tell a family in the hinterland whether you reach them. If your workers go to Nambour, Palmwoods, Landsborough, Beerwah, Glass House Mountains, Eumundi or Yandina, name them, and say which days you're out that way if travel depends on the roster.

  • Noosa named in its own right

Noosa Shire is a separate council from the Sunshine Coast, and families in Tewantin, Noosaville, Cooroy or Sunshine Beach may well search with those names. If you cover Noosa, give it a heading; if your workers stop at Coolum, say so.

  • An early childhood page with a referral form

BUSHkids is the NDIS early childhood partner for the Sunshine Coast. If you offer therapy or early intervention for young children, a page with the ages you work with, where sessions happen and a short referral form gives families and the partner a straightforward route in.

  • Readable for older eyes and assistive technology

Some of your readers may be older carers. We build with WCAG 2.2 as the reference: generous default text size, strong contrast, every function usable from a keyboard, labelled form fields and headings a screen reader can follow. Videos you supply should come with captions.

  • Caloundra's newer suburbs covered

On the NDIA's figures for 30 June 2026, the Caloundra – West statistical area had more participants than any other in the Sunshine Coast and Noosa council areas. If you work in Caloundra West, Pelican Waters, Currimundi or nearby, list each suburb so a family there can see you reach them.

NDIS providers on the Sunshine Coast: who's here and what's different

Queensland's rules for registration, worker screening clearances and blue cards, and the compulsory registration of supported independent living providers from 1 July 2026, are summarised on our Brisbane NDIS provider page. They apply here unchanged, so this section covers what's particular to the coast.

The NDIA's Maroochydore service district takes in the Sunshine Coast, Noosa and Gympie council areas. On 30 June 2026 the Sunshine Coast council area had 10,988 participants, up from 7,183 four years earlier; Noosa had 1,334 and Gympie 2,482. Carers QLD delivers local area coordination for people aged 9 to 64 on the Sunshine Coast, and BUSHkids is the early childhood partner for children younger than 6 with developmental delay or younger than 9 with disability.

The age profile is the main thing that sets the region apart. In the ABS's June 2025 estimates, the Sunshine Coast's median age was 42.9 and 22.0% of residents were 65 or older; in Noosa the figures were 51.3 and 29.2%, against 35.8 and 13.3% in Brisbane. A person must be younger than 65 when they apply for the NDIS, and older people needing help at home go through the aged care system, where Support at Home replaced Home Care Packages and Short-Term Restorative Care on 1 November 2025. A provider working on both sides should make the difference obvious on its website.

Participants aren't concentrated on the beachfront. In the NDIA's figures by statistical area, Caloundra – West had 1,362 participants, Nambour 1,146, Landsborough 718 and the Noosa Hinterland 661, while Mooloolaba – Alexandra Headland had 241 and Noosa Heads 79. A provider listing only the coastal centres could be leaving out several of the areas with the most participants.

Noosa Shire and Sunshine Coast Council are separate councils, and both the ABS and the NDIA count them separately, so "Sunshine Coast" and "Noosa" are separate searches even though the NDIA puts them in one service district. We're an Adelaide team and work with Sunshine Coast providers by phone and email: you send your supports, areas and registration details, we build the draft, and you pay once you've approved it.

Websites we've built for care and client intake

We haven't built a site for a business that mainly delivers NDIS supports. The two projects below are the closest: an in-home aged care support service, and a professional practice whose site takes people through a structured intake before they book.

Home page of the Golden Years Aged Care Support website

Golden Years Aged Care Support

Home & care services · Northern Adelaide

In-home support for older people in Northern Adelaide: personal care, cleaning, transport and respite. The site uses large, readable text, explains nine services on one page and lets aged care providers refer a client through the enquiry form. It's the closest match in our portfolio to a provider working across aged care and disability.

“He was incredibly hands-on, always available to answer questions, and made every requested change promptly and without hesitation.”

Questions Sunshine Coast providers ask us

We deliver NDIS supports and Support at Home. Should we have two websites?

One site usually works, with separate sections that each have their own pages and enquiry form. Keep the wording about NDIS registration in the NDIS section and your aged care details in the other, and link between them once. Our aged care website page covers that side in more detail.

Should our site explain who's eligible for the NDIS?

A sentence and a link is enough. Say that the NDIS is for people who apply before they turn 65 and point to the NDIS website for eligibility, then point older people to My Aged Care. Linking to the official pages keeps your site accurate when the rules change.

Do we need a separate section for Noosa?

If you work there, a heading or area page helps, because Noosa is its own council and people search with Noosa suburb names. If you don't cover it, saying so on your areas page saves a family in Tewantin a wasted call.

Our hinterland coverage changes with our roster. Can the site keep up?

Yes. Area lists and travel days are plain text, so email us the change and we'll update it. Text changes on existing pages are part of the $30 monthly hosting, with no contract. A new area page would be quoted first.

How does an Adelaide team work with a Sunshine Coast provider?
