Website Design for Lawyers on the Sunshine Coast

Websites for solicitors from Caloundra and Kawana to Maroochydore, Nambour and Noosa: comfortable-to-read pages on wills, estates and retirement village contracts, family and property work set out in plain terms, and a simple first step for clients and the relatives who often get in touch for them.

What a Sunshine Coast law firm's website needs

The Sunshine Coast and Noosa council areas had about 98,600 residents aged 65 or over in 2024, more than one person in five. A lot of legal work here starts with a will, an enduring power of attorney, a village contract or a deceased estate, and the person reading your site may be doing it for a parent.

  • Retirement village contracts, explained step by step

Queensland requires the operator's Village Comparison Document and Prospective Costs Document to reach a buyer at least 21 days before they sign a residence contract. A page in your words on what you check in those documents, how long a review takes and what it costs gives a family something concrete to act on.

  • Wills and powers of attorney without the jargon

What to bring, how long the appointment takes, whether you see people at home, in hospital or in an aged care facility, and a fixed fee if you charge one. Short paragraphs, plenty of space and a phone number at the top of every page.

  • Courts from Caloundra to Noosa

Maroochydore's courthouse on Cornmeal Parade holds the coast's District Court registry as well as a Magistrates Court, and there are further Magistrates Courts at Caloundra, Nambour, Landsborough, Noosa and Pomona. Each practice-area page names the ones your solicitors actually attend.

  • Family law with the Maroochydore circuit in mind

The Federal Circuit and Family Court sits at Maroochydore as a circuit location, and documents are filed online or at its Brisbane registry. A family law page that explains this saves an anxious client a phone call.

  • Planning and development disputes, if you do them

The Planning and Environment Court has a registry at Maroochydore. If you act for landowners, neighbours or developers, a page on how appeals and objections work, in your words, belongs on the site.

  • Enquiries from relatives, handled properly

A form field that asks whether the person writing is the client or someone helping them, with a note, if that's how you work, that you'll speak with the client directly before acting. It keeps the first contact easy without suggesting you take instructions second-hand.

Practising law on the Sunshine Coast and in Noosa

The state rules, in brief. Coast solicitors work under the same Queensland legislation and conduct rules as Brisbane firms, including the Personal Injuries Proceedings Act limits on injury advertising and the QLS guidelines on showing specialist accreditation. Our Brisbane lawyers page explains them with links to the official sources. What follows is local.

Two councils and an older population. Noosa Shire was re-established as a separate council on 1 January 2014, so the coast has two councils: Sunshine Coast, from Caloundra up through Maroochydore, Nambour and the hinterland, and Noosa, covering Noosa Heads, Tewantin and the towns inland. ABS estimates for June 2024 put 81,682 people aged 65 or over in the Sunshine Coast council area (21.8% of residents) and 16,898 in Noosa (28.6%), against 13.3% in Brisbane City. Across the two areas, 11,735 people were 85 or older.

Retirement villages. Queensland's public register at 31 October 2025 lists 49 registered retirement villages across the Sunshine Coast and Noosa council areas, with about 6,000 units between them, out of 333 statewide; only Brisbane City has more villages than the Sunshine Coast council area. The Queensland Government's guidance (opens in a new tab) says buyers must receive the comparison and costs documents at least 21 days before entering a residence contract, and that the 21-day period can be waived on a Form 5 only after legal advice from a Queensland lawyer. Its buying guide tells people to appoint a solicitor who “specialises in retirement villages” and gives QLS's number, so a firm doing this work needs a page those people can find. One caution when borrowing that wording: QLS's ethics guidance says a claim to specialise is likely to be read as a claim to expertise, so for a solicitor without accreditation, the page describes the work rather than the label.

Courts. The courthouse on Cornmeal Parade, Maroochydore, holds Maroochydore Magistrates Court and the coast's District Court and Planning and Environment Court registries; Murri Court and the Federal Circuit and Family Court's circuit also sit at Maroochydore. Queensland Courts lists further Magistrates Courts at Caloundra (3 Gregson Place), Nambour (156-168 Currie Street), Landsborough (12 Caloundra Street) and Noosa (Langura Street), plus Pomona (26 Red Street), which opens on Thursdays only.

The local profession, and us. The Sunshine Coast Law Association is one of QLS's district law associations, and membership belongs on a solicitor's profile where it applies. We're an Adelaide team and work with Queensland practices by phone and email. We haven't built a site for a Sunshine Coast law firm; the closest work is Golden Years Aged Care Support, an in-home aged care service in Northern Adelaide whose site was designed for older readers.

Sites built for the clients you serve

Golden Years Aged Care Support was built for older readers and the families who arrange care for them, much like a wills and estates audience. Resolve Forward, our legal-sector client, shows a family law practice with booking and intake online.

Golden Years Aged Care Support

Home & care services · Northern Adelaide

Six pages with large, readable text, nine services explained on one page and tap-to-call throughout. Its enquiry form includes a referral option for aged care providers, which a coast firm could adapt for referrals from financial planners or village managers.

“…gave us a fixed quote so we knew exactly what we were paying, and turned around the build faster than we thought possible.”

Questions Sunshine Coast law firms ask us

Can our site explain the 21-day disclosure period for retirement villages?

Yes, and it's worth doing. You describe the period, what you review in the Village Comparison Document and Prospective Costs Document, and when a Form 5 waiver comes up; we lay it out and link to the Queensland Government's own pages so readers can check the rules themselves.

Can we say we specialise in retirement village or elder law?

QLS's ethics guidance says a claim to be a specialist or to specialise is likely to be seen as a claim to expertise, with conduct rule 36 in mind. Unless a solicitor holds QLS accreditation in a relevant area, we'd word the page around the work you do and how often you do it, and the final wording is yours. If you're unsure about particular words, QLS's ethics team is the place to ask.

We practise in Noosa. Should the site mention the Sunshine Coast at all?

Use the names your clients use: Noosa, Tewantin and the towns you serve first. If you also see people from Coolum or Maroochydore, say so; there's no need to claim the whole coast if most of your clients live in the shire.

Where do family law clients go to court?

The Federal Circuit and Family Court sits at Maroochydore on circuit, with documents filed online or at its Brisbane registry. Your family law page can say where you expect hearings to be and whether you attend with the client; we keep that text easy to update as court lists change.

You're in Adelaide. How do we work together?

By phone and email. We're an Adelaide (South Australia) web design team working with businesses Australia-wide, and our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. You send your words, photos and solicitor details, we send a draft link, and you pay once you approve it. We reply within 24 hours.

Planning a website for your coast practice?

Tell us your areas of law, which towns your clients come from and whether you handle village contracts or estates. We'll quote and build the draft, and you pay only after you approve it.
