Website Design for Landscapers on the Sunshine Coast

Websites for landscapers working from Caloundra to Noosa and up into the range: your QBCC licence shown the way Queensland asks, projects captioned by suburb, and a quote form that sorts Sunshine Coast Council jobs from Noosa Shire ones, because their clearing rules aren't the same.

What a Sunshine Coast landscaping website needs

A landscaper on the Sunshine Coast can spend Monday on a canal block at Minyama, Wednesday on a new house at Aura and Friday on acreage near Maleny. Clients want to see work on a site like theirs, and the better ones want to know you'll check what their council allows before anything gets cut down.

  • The council named on every enquiry

Noosa's planning scheme requires a permit to clear vegetation on all private land in the shire, with listed exemptions, while Sunshine Coast Council protects particular vegetation and lets owners check their lot online. A dropdown on the quote form asking which council area the property is in tells you which set of rules to look up before you price any clearing.

  • Clearing work described carefully

Sunshine Coast Council counts pruning that's likely to kill a tree, and clearing understorey below the canopy, as clearing. If removal or clearing is part of your service, say that you check protected status first and who lodges any permit, rather than promising to take out whatever the client points at.

  • Verge gardens to council's criteria

A verge garden on the Sunshine Coast Council side can go in without approval if it meets council's self-assessable criteria, including plants no taller than 50 centimetres at maturity and a 1.8 metre clear strip where there's no formed path. If you build them, mention that you work to those criteria, and note that in Noosa, planting a tree on a nature strip needs a council permit.

  • Fire ant handling in a sentence

Fire ants have been found on the coast at Nirimba, North Arm and Kunda Park, and in 2025 council sent green waste from the zones to a single landfill. A plain line about how you move soil, mulch, turf and green waste tells a client you won't be the reason a nest turns up in their street.

  • Projects captioned with suburb and setting

"Sandstone steps and native planting on a slope, Buderim" or "Courtyard paving and turf, Pelican Waters" tells a reader both what you build and where. We group the gallery by job type so it's quick to scan on a phone, and you can send new photos to add whenever a job's finished.

  • Waterfront work with its limits stated

Sunshine Coast Council says canal-front owners own the revetment wall in front of their property, and any work within a tidal canal needs an operational works application. In Noosa, mangroves and other marine plants are protected under the Fisheries Act 1994. If you landscape riverfront or canal blocks, say where your work stops and the owner's approvals begin.

Two councils, protected vegetation and fire ants on the Sunshine Coast

QBCC licensing and advertising rules are statewide: a licence for building work valued over $3,300, two licence classes aimed at landscaping, and your licensed name and number on every ad, your website included. Our Brisbane landscapers page covers them. On the Sunshine Coast the bigger differences are local.

Sunshine Coast Council. Council says a permit may be needed to remove protected vegetation on private property, whether it's protected by the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014's vegetation management code, an overlay, a covenant, a drainage easement or a development approval condition. Clearing covers cutting down a tree, damaging its trunk, pruning that's likely to kill it, and clearing plants in the understorey. Where a lot has no approved building envelope, clearing for a home is capped at 600 square metres in total, including sheds and pools. Owners can clear within 3 metres of their side of a boundary fence where it's reasonably necessary, after telling the neighbours and confirming the vegetation isn't protected. The Development.i site report shows whether a property has protected vegetation.

Noosa Shire. Noosa Council says its planning scheme requires a permit to clear vegetation on all private land in the shire, subject to published exemptions, and that damaging or removing protected trees and plants without a permit or exemption is an offence. Clearing for a house or shed in a mapped Biodiversity Overlay area needs a separate material change of use permit, a flora survey may be required, and some remnant vegetation needs a state permit as well. On verges, any removal, pruning or disturbance of vegetation needs approval. Applications go to council with a plan showing the vegetation, lodged at the Tewantin office, by email or by post.

Fire ants on the coast. Nests were found at Nirimba, near Caloundra, in May 2024, and at North Arm, near Yandina, in January 2025. A 5 kilometre biosecurity zone around North Arm took effect on 17 February 2025, covering all or parts of Bridges, Cooloolabin, Eerwah Vale, Eumundi, Maroochy River, North Arm, Ninderry, Valdora, Verrierdale, Yandina and Yandina Creek. In March 2025, council said green waste from inside both zones, including businesses' loads, had to go to the Caloundra landfill, its only tip inside a zone. Queensland's zones were updated again from 15 April 2026, and on 9 June 2026 a nest was destroyed at Kunda Park, outside the containment boundary. Check the National Fire Ant Eradication Program's current map before moving soil, mulch, turf or green waste.

Where the work is, and how we work. Clients place themselves by stretch of coast and hinterland: Caloundra and Pelican Waters, Kawana and Mooloolaba, Maroochydore and Buderim, Coolum and Peregian, Noosa and Tewantin, and up the range at Maleny, Montville and Mapleton. We're an Adelaide team at Hutt St and work with Sunshine Coast landscapers by phone and email. Tell us which council areas you cover and the work you want more of, send photos of finished jobs, and we'll send back a draft link to look over.

Questions Sunshine Coast landscapers ask us

We work in both Noosa and Sunshine Coast Council areas. Should the site treat them differently?

For most services, no. For clearing and tree work, yes: Noosa requires a permit to clear vegetation on all private land, with exemptions, while Sunshine Coast Council protects particular vegetation. A line on your clearing page saying you check the rules for each council before quoting covers it, and the quote form can ask which area the job is in.

Should we mention fire ants on our website?

If you move soil, mulch, turf or green waste, a sentence is worth having. Say that you follow the fire ant movement controls and check the current zone map. With detections at Nirimba, North Arm and Kunda Park, a calm, factual line reads better than saying nothing.

Can clients send photos and plans through the form?

Yes. The quote form can take photos of the yard, a landscape plan or survey, plus the suburb, the council area, the slope and the access. It all comes through in one email, so you can tell whether the job needs a bobcat, an arborist or a permit before you call back.

We do a lot of hinterland acreage. How should the site show it?

Give it its own section or page, with photos of larger jobs and captions naming the area, such as Maleny or Mapleton. Say what you bring for bigger blocks, whether that's machinery, erosion control or long driveway plantings, and include a minimum job size if you have one.

How does an Adelaide team work with a Sunshine Coast business?

By phone and email. We're a web design team in Adelaide, South Australia, working with businesses Australia-wide, and our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. You send photos and details, we build the draft, you ask for as many changes as you like, and you pay once you approve it. We reply within 24 hours.
