Website Design for Dance Schools

Websites for ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop and performing arts schools that help a parent find the right class for a five-year-old or a teenager, show what a term really costs, and take the enrolment online.

What a dance school website needs to answer

A family that settles into a dance studio can stay for years, and a parent's first look at your website is usually about a child's very first class. The questions are practical: which class suits their age and experience, which afternoon it runs, what a term adds up to once uniforms, exams and the concert are counted, and how to enrol. Families who are already with you come back each term for the timetable, term dates and concert news.

  • A timetable families can filter

Lay the week out by age group and style, with the level, start time, length and teacher for each class, and mark the ones open to complete beginners. A five-year-old's first ballet class and a senior contemporary class shouldn't share one crowded grid. On the 8-page site each style gets a page with its own slice of the timetable, so a parent searching for tap or hip hop lands on the classes they're after.

  • Online enrolment that collects what you need

An enrolment form asks for the student's name and date of birth, the classes chosen, any medical conditions or injuries the teacher should know about, emergency contacts and a photo permission question. If your studio already enrols through software such as Class Manager, where families choose a class, add their child's details and pay, and go onto a waiting list when a class is full, the Enrol button goes straight there instead.

  • Term fees, uniforms and the extras

Parents do the sums: the fee per class or per term, discounts for siblings or extra classes, the uniform and shoes each style and level requires, costume charges for the end-of-year concert, and exam entry fees. Put them in one place with term dates, make-up classes for missed lessons and your refund policy, so the talk at the studio door is about dancing rather than invoices.

  • Exam syllabi and teacher registration

Say which syllabus you teach and which teachers are registered with it. Only Royal Academy of Dance registered teachers can enter students for RAD exams, and the RAD's online map lets families find one nearby. Other schools follow syllabi from Comdance, the home of the CSTD syllabus, or Australian Teachers of Dancing, covering styles from classical ballet to tap and jazz. A short profile of each teacher, with their training and registration, helps a family moving from another studio compare like with like.

  • A child-safety commitment that's easy to find

Victoria's Child Safe Standards apply to organisations providing coaching or tuition, or cultural, sport or recreation services, specifically for children, and Standard 2 requires a public commitment to child safety. The Social Services Regulator took responsibility for the standards from the Commission for Children and Young People in February 2026. In Queensland, the blue card guidance lists teaching dance or ballet classes for children as work that needs a card. A short child-safety statement in your own words, linked from every page's footer, puts your commitment where families can read it.

  • Accredited courses advertised accurately

If a full-time program leads to a nationally recognised qualification, the training regulator's rules apply to how it's advertised. ASQA's guide to the 2025 Standards says advertising by a registered training organisation, or by a third party on its behalf, must include the RTO's registration code or a link to its entry on the National Register, separate training that leads to a qualification from training that doesn't, and identify which services the third party delivers. If you partner with an RTO, the course page follows that layout, using the details the RTO supplies.

  • Concerts, photos and voucher details

Concert dates, rehearsal calls, costume collection and a link to buy tickets keep the busiest weeks of the year off the phone. Photos and videos of students go up only where parents have said yes. In South Australia, Sports Vouchers Plus covers dance, and a dance provider must be registered with a peak dance association such as Ausdance SA to accept them; NSW's Active and Creative Kids and Queensland's Play On! vouchers list dance too. If you're registered for any of them, say so near your fees.

A dance school website we've built

Queensland Dance & Performing Arts, on Brisbane's Bayside, is one of our clients, so this is a like-for-like example rather than a stretch: a page for each program, a weekly class timetable and an online enrolment form.

Queensland Dance & Performing Arts

Community, creative & tourism · Thorneside, Brisbane's Bayside

The school teaches ballet, contemporary and circus arts from age 6 at Thorneside, alongside adult ballet and a full-time professional dance diploma. The 12 pages we built for it include one for each program and one for the diploma, a weekly class timetable, a photo gallery families can filter, FAQs and an online enrolment form. The timetable and online enrolment form described above are both working on it.

“He listened to my feedback and made no hesitations to revise and adjust my website until we were completely happy with it.”

Questions dance schools ask us

Can parents enrol and pay online?

There are two routes. If your studio software already handles enrolments and term billing, the Enrol button on every page opens it with your classes set up. Otherwise we build enrolment and payment into the site itself, quoted per job. Either way, your term dates, refund policy and make-up rules sit on the fees page, so parents have read them before they reach the form.

How does the timetable stay current from term to term?

Send us next term's timetable when it's ready, as a spreadsheet, a PDF or even a photo of the whiteboard, and we'll update the page. Changing text on a page you already have is part of the $30 monthly hosting. If your enrolment software publishes a live timetable, we can link or embed it so changes you make there appear on the site.

Can we put concert photos and videos on the site?

Yes, where parents have agreed. A photo permission question on the enrolment form tells you which students can appear, so you can choose concert and class shots where everyone pictured has consented. Long concert videos are better hosted on YouTube or Vimeo and embedded in the page, which keeps it quick to load on a phone.

Can we sell uniforms or concert tickets online?

Uniforms, shoes and dancewear can go in an online store: $799 for up to 25 products with one payment gateway and basic order management, or $1,999 for unlimited products, multiple payment options, customer accounts and advanced shipping. For concert tickets, a link to the ticketing platform you already use is usually simplest, placed on the concert page beside the dates and venue.

Which package suits a dance school?

A single-style studio can start on the one-page site at $399. A school with a handful of styles fits the 3-page site at $899. Schools teaching several styles across all ages, with exams, competition teams or a full-time program, are better on the 8-page site at $1,499. That size takes 2–3 weeks once we have your words and photos.

Do you work with dance schools outside Adelaide?

Yes. Our team is on Hutt St in Adelaide, and we work with businesses Australia-wide by phone and email; current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD, including Queensland Dance & Performing Arts in Brisbane. Send us your timetable, fee schedule and some class photos, and we'll quote from there.

Ready to start your dance school's website?

Send us your timetable, fee schedule, uniform list and some photos from class or the last concert. We'll quote it and build the draft, and you pay only once you're happy with it.

We reply within 24 hours. Prefer email? info@webcraftstudio.com.au
