Website Design for Builders in Rockhampton

Websites for Rockhampton builders who restore Queenslanders on The Range and in Wandal, lift and rebuild on the low ground beside the Fitzroy, and put up new homes from Parkhurst and Glenlee to Gracemere and down the coast at Yeppoon, with each kind of job where the owner looking for it will land.

What a Rockhampton builder's website should cover

Rockhampton owners usually know what kind of house they have before they know who'll work on it. Someone with an old Queenslander in Allenstown wants restorations, a family building on acreage north of town wants new homes, and a couple at Yeppoon wants to know you'll make the drive. A site that splits your work along those lines sends each of them to the right page.

  • Character houses given a page of their own

The regional planning scheme has a Character overlay that controls the demolition of character buildings, and in 2019 council proposed demolition controls under it for Queenslanders in Allenstown, The Range and Wandal. If you restore, extend or lift houses in those streets, show before-and-after photos with the street and the era of the house named. Whether a particular house can change is a question for the planner.

  • Highset homes with the new energy rules in a sentence

Queensland's revised Modern Homes rules, updated in the Queensland Development Code from 14 August 2026, set a 6-star energy rating for raised-floor homes such as Queenslanders and let elevated homes be built ramp-ready, with a compliant ramp added later if needed. If you build highset houses, one sentence saying your designs are drawn to the current rules answers a question owners have started asking.

  • Flood-overlay work captioned by suburb

Council's flood overlay maps were updated in October 2023 for the Fitzroy River and for local catchments in North Rockhampton and Gracemere, with new mapping for South Rockhampton and Mount Morgan. On jobs in low-lying suburbs such as Depot Hill, name the suburb and say whether the floor was raised or the house rebuilt higher.

  • Growth-area homes on the northern edge

Parkhurst – Kawana grew 2.3% in 2024–25, faster than any other part of the Rockhampton council area in ABS estimates, and Glenlee – Rockyview, just over the Livingstone boundary, grew 3.9%. Version 3 of the scheme moved three parcels at Parkhurst and Gracemere into New Urban and Low Density Residential zones. House-and-land and acreage builders working there should name each estate and show the homes finished in it.

  • The Capricorn Coast on its own page

Yeppoon and Emu Park are in Livingstone Shire, under the Livingstone Planning Scheme 2018 rather than Rockhampton's scheme, with their own council approvals and mapping. If you build out there, a separate page with coastal projects tells owners on the Capricorn Coast you're a regular, not a city builder taking the odd beach job.

  • A quote form that asks about the house before the budget

Restoration, raise, extension or new build; suburb; whether the house is pre-war; then budget and timing. Owners can attach photos of the stumps and verandahs, plans or council property information, so you see what you'd be pricing before the drive out.

Building in Rockhampton: old houses, floodplains and two councils

Licensing doesn't change north of the Tropic. Rockhampton builders hold QBCC licences, carry the licensed name, licence number and a licensing statement in their advertising, website included, and follow the same home warranty and deposit rules as builders in Brisbane; our Brisbane builders page explains them. The local questions are about old houses, flood mapping and which council the job sits in.

The Rockhampton Region Planning Scheme, in force since 24 August 2015, has twelve overlay codes, and council's fact sheet says its Character overlay applies particular design controls to some properties and controls the demolition of character buildings. When council proposed changes in May 2019, it named Allenstown, The Range and Wandal for demolition controls, and Glencoe and Caroline streets, with parts of Agnes, Davis and Corberry streets, for stronger design controls on new work and alterations. The demolition test reached the Planning and Environment Court this year in Sparrow & Anor v Rockhampton Regional Council [2026] QPEC 5: assessing an 1864 house on The Range against the Character overlay code, the court found it did contribute to the street's character, yet set aside council's refusal and approved demolition with conditions, because a dual occupancy already approved on the lot in front would largely hide it from the street.

Version 4 of the scheme, in effect from 25 October 2023, updated the Fitzroy River flood overlay and the local catchment mapping for North Rockhampton and Gracemere, and added mapping for South Rockhampton and Mount Morgan. During consultation council wrote to the owners and tenants of more than 2,600 affected properties and received 271 submissions. Version 3 brought stage 2 of the North Rockhampton Flood Management Area, which relies on temporary flood barriers, into the scheme. Owners can check the overlays on their own lot through council's Rock e Plan site, which is the link a builder's website should give them.

In September 2024 council completed its ten-year review and chose to keep the 2015 scheme and amend it, updating zones, overlays and codes; early community feedback closed on 28 November 2025, and council's timeline put the formal state process for the major amendment, public consultation included, between April and December 2026. Growth sits at the edges: ABS estimates put Parkhurst – Kawana at 8,181 residents in June 2025, up 183 in a year, while The Range – Allenstown held at 8,125. Across the boundary in Livingstone Shire, Glenlee – Rockyview grew 3.9% to 6,002 and Yeppoon added 440 people to reach 22,522; that shire's Livingstone Planning Scheme 2018 commenced on 1 May 2018 and is going through its own ten-year review.

The 2026 Master Builders Central Queensland Housing & Construction Awards were held at the Frenchville Sports Club in Berserker on 14 August, with homes, renovations and commercial projects judged side by side. If one of yours placed, put the program, year and category on that project rather than a badge in the footer. We're an Adelaide team at Hutt St and build for Rockhampton builders by phone and email: you send photos, your licence number and the suburbs you work in, and the draft arrives as a link before anything is paid.

Building and engineering websites we've built

We haven't built a site for a Rockhampton builder yet. Bright Building & Renovations is a licensed South Australian builder whose site splits its work by service and by area, and Simple Engineers is an Adelaide structural engineering practice whose quote form takes file uploads, which is what a builder pricing raises and restorations needs.

Home page of the Bright Building & Renovations website

Bright Building & Renovations

Trades & construction · Adelaide, Adelaide Hills & Fleurieu

Kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home renovations, extensions and new homes across Adelaide, the Hills and the Fleurieu, on a 30-page site with seven service pages, seven area pages, five planning guides, a project gallery and a seven-step quote form. For Rockhampton we'd turn the service pages into restorations, raising, new homes and Capricorn Coast work.

Home page of the Simple Engineers website

Simple Engineers

Professional services · Adelaide

Structural engineers designing retaining walls, concrete slabs and stormwater systems for homeowners and builders. The site has four service pages, 16 articles and a quote form with fee ranges and file uploads; a Rockhampton builder's form could collect photos of an old house and its stumps the same way.

“They were very helpful and envisioned exactly what I was wanting for my website. They created the site very promptly and cost efficient.”

Questions Rockhampton builders ask us

We restore Queenslanders in Wandal and Allenstown. What should the site say about the Character overlay?

That character houses are a regular part of your work, shown with photos and the street named, plus a link to Rock e Plan so owners can check their own lot. Whether a house can be demolished or altered is decided case by case, as this year's court decision on The Range showed, so keep approval questions for the first conversation.

Do Yeppoon and Emu Park need a separate page?

If coastal work is a real part of your year, yes. Both towns are in Livingstone Shire, under a different planning scheme from Rockhampton, and owners there search by town name. A page of Capricorn Coast projects keeps those enquiries landing in the right place.

Should we mention the new star ratings for raised homes?

A sentence is enough: that your highset designs meet the current Queensland requirements and that you can talk an owner through the options for a raised or ramp-ready home. Link to the state's own Modern Homes information rather than restating it, since the rules were revised in August 2026.

Can owners send photos of an old house with their enquiry?

Yes. The form can take photos of the stumps, verandahs and roof, along with plans or council property information. You see the condition of the house before the site visit, and you choose which questions the form asks.

How does an Adelaide team build a website for a Rockhampton builder?

By phone and email. We're an Adelaide (South Australia) web design team working with businesses Australia-wide, and our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. You send project photos, your QBCC details and the suburbs you cover; we build a draft, you ask for changes, and you pay only after approving it.
