Website Design for Plumbers in Bendigo

For plumbers and gasfitters across Greater Bendigo and the towns around it. A site that shows new-home owners in Jackass Flat, landholders on channel water and people fitting out a new shop that you know Coliban Water's requirements before they pick up the phone.

What a Bendigo plumbing website needs

Coliban Water sets much of the paperwork for plumbing around Bendigo, and three kinds of customer turn up here that a generic plumbing site doesn't speak to: new homes in the dual pipe estates, rural properties drawing untreated channel water, and new commercial sites that can't connect until their backflow forms are in.

  • The dual pipe estates, by name

New homes in Barlow Hills, Canterbury, Evergreen Waters, Evergreen Links and Rubicon Rise at Jackass Flat, and in Peppercorn Estate at White Hills, must connect to recycled water. Builders and owners there want a plumber who knows the inspection steps, so list the estates you've worked in.

  • Rural supply and tank work

Coliban's rural channels and pipelines carry untreated water that isn't suitable for drinking. If you plumb pumps, tanks, filters and separate supplies on rural properties, give that work a section of its own so landholders between Malmsbury, Harcourt and Raywood can find it.

  • Backflow for fit-outs and new premises

Under the backflow policy Coliban Water applies, a new non-residential development with no known hazard or business activity is automatically assigned a high hazard device, and consent to connect waits until the backflow paperwork is received. A short section for shop and workshop owners explains that early and gives them a way to reach you.

  • Septic systems from permit to final inspection

In Greater Bendigo, owners need the City's consent to install or alter a septic system, and the City inspects it and issues a permit before it can be used. Say which parts of that you look after, from working with the Land Capability Assessment to being there for the final inspection.

  • The towns past the city

Kangaroo Flat, Golden Square, Eaglehawk, Strathfieldsaye, Epsom and Huntly; then Marong, Heathcote, Elmore or Castlemaine if you travel that far. A clear list stops calls from places you don't cover and reassures the ones you do.

  • A gallery of real jobs

Trenching for a new service, a pump and tank set-up, a rough-in before the plasterers arrive. Captioned with the suburb or town, your own photos show the range of work better than a list of services.

  • Licence details people can check

The Building and Plumbing Commission licenses plumbers as individuals. We put the licence-holder's name, number and classes in the footer of every page, so they match what a customer finds when they search the public register.

Coliban Water country: what's local about plumbing in Bendigo

The state side, in a sentence or two. Plumbing in Bendigo is regulated by Victoria's Building and Plumbing Commission (formerly the Victorian Building Authority), which accredits individual plumbers by class and requires a licensed plumber's compliance certificate for jobs worth more than $750 and for some gas and drainage work regardless of cost. Our Melbourne plumbers page covers those rules and the 2027 gas changes, which apply here too.

Dual pipe estates. Coliban Water lists six developments where new properties must connect to recycled water: Barlow Hills, Canterbury Estate, Evergreen Waters, Evergreen Links and Rubicon Rise Estate at Jackass Flat, and Peppercorn Estate at White Hills. Plumbers there follow its Conditions of Connection for Dual Pipe Areas. Coliban's approved contractor inspects at tapping and meter installation, and its own staff then inspect the meter-to-house pipework, the rough-in and the final commissioning. Each inspection needs at least 48 hours' notice, and the plumber has to be on site for the first and the last.

Rural channel water. Coliban Water's 2024–25 Rural Water Guide counts 1,133 rural licences, supplied through about 500 kilometres of channels and pipelines, and the Victorian Water Accounts describe the open channel system as running from Malmsbury to Bendigo and on to Raywood. Pipeline systems such as Harcourt's give customers water all year. The guide says rural water is untreated and not suitable for human consumption, and that no quality standards apply to it. A plumbing site can describe the tank, pump and filter work you do on these properties without suggesting the water becomes drinkable.

Backflow on commercial sites. Coliban Water publishes a Backflow Prevention Containment Policy (version 2, July 2024) that it shares with several other Victorian water corporations. It requires a testable device at or near the boundary of every property rated medium or high hazard. For a new non-residential development where the hazard or business activity isn't known, the water corporation specifies a high hazard device, and consent to connect is only granted once the backflow documentation is in. The owner then agrees to have the device maintained and tested at intervals of no more than 12 months. Homes with a Class A recycled supply need a dual check valve or dual check meter on both the recycled and drinking water services.

Septic tanks. On unsewered land, the City of Greater Bendigo must consent before a septic system is installed or altered, and a Land Capability Assessment checks whether the block can manage wastewater on site. Before the system is used, the City inspects it and issues a permit. Owners trying to find an old tank can lodge a file retrieval request for the property's records. We're an Adelaide team and work with Bendigo plumbers by phone and email: you send your details and photos, check the draft on your phone, and pay once you're happy with it.

Plumbing and regional trade sites we've built

We haven't built a site for a Bendigo plumber. The nearest examples are a plumbing and gas business in Queensland and an excavation business working across the Bega Valley in New South Wales, whose earthworks gallery shows how a plumber's outdoor jobs could be set out.

Questions from Bendigo plumbers

We're in Bendigo and you're in Adelaide. How does that work?

Everything happens by phone and email. WebCraft Studio is an Adelaide team, and our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. You send your services, licence details, towns and photos; we build the draft; you check it on your phone and ask for changes until it's right, then pay once you approve it. We reply within 24 hours.

Should we list the Jackass Flat estates by name?

If you've plumbed homes there, yes. Owners and builders in Barlow Hills, Evergreen Waters or Peppercorn Estate search for exactly that, and naming the estates tells them you know Coliban Water's recycled water inspections. Only list places where you'd happily take the next job.

How should we describe rural water work?

Describe what you install and maintain, such as tanks, pumps, filters and separate supplies, and leave statements about water quality to Coliban Water, which says its rural water is untreated and not for drinking. If you test or treat water for a particular use, say exactly what you do and link to the official guidance rather than making broad claims.

Can businesses request a backflow test through the site?

Yes. We can build online booking into the site and include it in the quote. A short request form often works just as well: business name, address, device location and the date of the last test. It lands in your inbox, and your number stays one tap away for anyone who'd rather ring.

One page or three for a Bendigo plumber?

If most of your work is domestic in town, one page usually does it. If rural work, commercial backflow or new-home plumbing in the dual pipe estates are a big part of the business, a 3-page site gives each audience its own page and keeps the home page short.

Ready for a Bendigo plumbing website?

Send us your licence details, the towns and estates you work in, and a handful of job photos. We'll come back with a quote, build the draft, and you pay once you've approved it.
