Website Design for Mechanics in Moreton Bay

Websites for workshops and mobile mechanics from Redcliffe and North Lakes to Caboolture, Bribie Island and the farms out past Dayboro. Drop-off details for commuters who catch the train into Brisbane, a page for drivers heading onto Bribie's ocean beach, and a request form short enough to send from the platform.

What Moreton Bay customers look for

Moreton Bay sits between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, with the Bruce Highway and two rail lines running into Brisbane, so for some customers a service has to fit around a commute. Others want a 4WD ready for Bribie, or a mechanic who'll drive out to an acreage block. A workshop site here should make it obvious which of those you're set up for.

  • Drop-off that works around a commute

Give your opening time, whether there's a key drop box for the night before, your latest pick-up, and how far you are from the nearest station on the Caboolture or Redcliffe Peninsula line. A customer who can leave the car and walk to a train has one less reason to look elsewhere.

  • Bribie beach preparation, job by job

Driving on Bribie's ocean beach needs a vehicle access permit, bought before you drive onto the sand. If you do pre-trip inspections, tyres, suspension or a look underneath after a weekend in salt and sand, list each of those by name, and link to Queensland Parks and Wildlife for permits and current conditions.

  • Call-outs to acreage and farms

West of the Bruce Highway the city opens into rural localities such as Dayboro, Samford Valley, Woodford, Mount Mee and Wamuran. If you'll drive out to fix a farm ute, a quad bike or a ride-on mower, name the places and the machines, and say whether there's a call-out fee to discuss.

  • Safety certificates, if you're approved

Someone selling a car needs a safety certificate before it changes hands, and only an approved inspection station can issue one. A short page that says which vehicles you inspect and how to request a time, with your approval number on it, is enough.

  • Trade and fleet accounts

If businesses from the Brendale, Narangba or Burpengary industrial areas already use you, explain how accounts work: monthly invoices, service reminders, whether a ute can be dropped at 6 am and collected by knock-off. A separate enquiry form keeps those requests apart from one-off services.

  • A form short enough for the train

Rego, the car, what it's doing, the day they'd like, and a phone number. Five fields fit on one phone screen, so a commuter can send it between Kippa-Ring and Petrie and have a reply from you before they're at their desk.

Running a workshop in the City of Moreton Bay

Nothing about Queensland's vehicle inspection system changes once you cross from Brisbane into Moreton Bay. Safety certificates, certificates of inspection, defect notice clearances and modification approvals are Transport and Main Roads schemes that apply statewide, and they're explained on our Brisbane mechanics page. For a Moreton Bay workshop we copy your approval number into the site exactly as TMR issued it, and we use TMR's terms for whatever you're approved to do.

The council's economic profile places Moreton Bay between Brisbane City and the Sunshine Coast, served by the Bruce Highway and the Caboolture and Redcliffe Peninsula rail lines. The Redcliffe Peninsula line opened in October 2016 and runs from Kippa-Ring through Rothwell, Mango Hill and Kallangur to join the existing network at Petrie, with trains running on into Brisbane; Kippa-Ring to Central takes about 56 minutes. A workshop within walking distance of one of those stations, or of a stop on the Caboolture line, should say so on the home page. For a customer who works in Brisbane, leaving the car and catching a train is a good reason to book with you.

The council's economic profile lists eleven major industrial precincts: Brendale, Lawnton and Everton Hills in the south-west, Clontarf on the Redcliffe peninsula, Narangba, Burpengary, Burpengary East, Morayfield and Caboolture along the highway corridor, Deception Bay's Baylink Business Park, and Bongaree on Bribie Island. The council area covers more than 2,000 square kilometres, so customers think in suburbs, not in "Moreton Bay". Lead with the suburb you're in, then list the ones a short drive away.

Bribie Island, joined to the mainland by a bridge since 1963, is the city's beach-driving destination. Vehicles enter the national park at the Woorim beach access track or the ranger station at Whitepatch, and every vehicle needs a vehicle access permit, bought before it drives on the island. The island has also changed shape: on 2 January 2022 ex-Tropical Cyclone Seth and a king tide broke through the narrow spit about 2 km from the northern tip, opening a channel roughly 200 metres wide. Beach conditions shift with erosion and weather, so a Bribie or Caboolture workshop's 4WD page should link to the park's current alerts instead of restating them.

Out along the D'Aguilar Highway it's farming country: Wamuran, west of Caboolture, is known for roadside stalls selling local strawberries and pineapples. Mobile mechanics who look after farm vehicles out there should say how far they'll travel. We're an Adelaide team and build for Queensland businesses by phone and email: you send your services, suburbs and photos, we send a draft link to check on your phone, and you pay once you approve it.

Ideas from our portfolio

We haven't built a mechanic's site yet. These two show ideas a Moreton Bay workshop can use: a timetable set out clearly enough to read at a glance, and suburb pages for a business that covers a lot of ground.

Home page of the Queensland Dance & Performing Arts website

Queensland Dance & Performing Arts

Community, creative & tourism · Thorneside, Brisbane's Bayside

A dance and performing arts school at Thorneside on Brisbane's Bayside, with a 12-page site: a page per program, a weekly class timetable, a filterable photo gallery, FAQs and an online enrolment form. The timetable is the part a workshop can borrow, with opening hours, early drop-off and late pick-up laid out so a commuter can check them in seconds.

Home page of the Phoenix Housekeeping website

Phoenix Housekeeping

Home & care services · Lake Macquarie, Cessnock & Central Coast

A family-run cleaning business in Lake Macquarie, NSW, covering Lake Macquarie, Cessnock and the Central Coast. Its site has published prices, service pages, suburb pages across its area and a quote form with a discreet call-back option. A mobile mechanic covering the peninsula, the Pine Rivers suburbs and Caboolture can lay out its patch the same way.

“He listened to my feedback and made no hesitations to revise and adjust my website until we were completely happy with it.”

Questions Moreton Bay mechanics ask us

Should the site say Moreton Bay, or name suburbs?

Both, with your suburb first. The council area is large, and someone in Bongaree and someone in Albany Creek are unlikely to choose the same workshop. List the suburbs within an easy drive and, if you're mobile, where you stop.

Is a Bribie 4WD page worth having?

If 4WD work is a decent share of your jobs, yes. Name the beach, list the checks you do before and after a trip, and link to Queensland Parks and Wildlife for permits and current access, which changes with erosion and weather. We'd keep it to work you actually do.

How should the site explain early key drop-off?

Say where the drop box is, what to write on the envelope or tag, and when you'll ring with a quote. The request form can ask whether the customer is dropping keys early, so you know to look for them in the morning.

Do Queensland inspection rules differ in Moreton Bay?

No. TMR runs safety certificates, certificates of inspection, defect notices and modification approvals the same way from Redcliffe to Woodford. Our Brisbane mechanics page explains them, and we'd describe your approvals using the same terms.

How does an Adelaide team build a site for a Moreton Bay workshop?

By phone and email, as we do with every client outside Adelaide; our clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. You send your details and phone photos, we send a draft link, you ask for changes until you're happy and pay once you approve it. We reply within 24 hours.
