Website Design for Event and Party Hire Companies

Websites for marquee, furniture, party and equipment hire businesses that let a customer browse what you stock, list what they need for one date, check you deliver to their suburb, and read your hire terms before they send the enquiry.

What an event hire website needs to do

Hire customers plan around a date that can't move, and many are organising an event for the first time: a backyard reception, a fortieth, a school fete, a product launch. They want to see each item, know its size or how many it seats, find out whether it's free on their date, and work out what delivery and set-up add. A site that answers all of that gets you one complete enquiry instead of a chain of emails.

  • A catalogue sorted the way people plan

Group items by what the customer is solving: shelter, seating, tables and linen, lighting, dance floors, heaters, catering gear, kids' party and inflatables. Each item gets a clear photo, its dimensions, the quantity you hold, what's included and a hire price if you publish one. A photo of it set up at a real event does more than a studio shot, and packages such as a garden party for 60 save people adding up 14 separate lines.

  • An availability enquiry that starts with the date

The form opens with the event date and the delivery and collection windows, then the venue suburb, indoor or outdoor, the ground surface (grass, concrete or pavers matters for pegging or weighting a marquee) and whether power is available. Customers then tick items and quantities from the catalogue, so you check stock and reply with a quote. For live, date-based stock with online payment, we build a booking system into the site, quoted per job, or link the hire software you already use.

  • Delivery zones a customer can check

A suburb or postcode check, or a simple zone table, showing where you deliver, what each zone costs, any minimum order for delivery, and whether customers can collect from your yard instead, with the pick-up and return times. Add notes on stairs, long carries and early-morning or after-midnight collections, since those are the things that change a quote.

  • Prices that add up honestly

NSW Fair Trading's pricing standards say a business can't state a price that's only part of the cost unless it also shows the total price, at least as prominently as the most prominent part. Optional extras and delivery charges don't have to be included. So if a cleaning fee or damage waiver is compulsory, it's part of the total price, while delivery and optional set-up can be listed separately. We lay out your price tables to match whatever you decide.

  • Hire terms in plain view

Deposit, when the balance is due, cancellation, wind and weather calls for marquees and inflatables, breakages, cleaning and late returns, all on one page linked beside the enquiry button. NSW Fair Trading points out that paying a deposit can mean a contract has been made. Since 9 November 2023, businesses can be penalised for using unfair terms in standard form contracts, and NSW Fair Trading gives terms that make a customer who cancels pay an excessive amount as an example of a term that may be unfair. Have your terms checked by your own adviser; we present them exactly as written.

  • Inflatables with the safety details people ask about

SafeWork NSW says inflatable devices don't need registering unless they're continuously blown with a platform height of 3 metres or more, and that a competent person must inspect them. Its guide for events that engage amusement devices covers inspection and maintenance records, operator training and insurance. For each castle or slide, list its footprint with clearance, power needs, age range, supervision rules and wind limit, and say whether an operator stays.

Work that shows the same parts

There's no event hire company in our portfolio, so we won't dress another client up as one. Two of our sites handle the parts a hire business leans on: Cape Fishing Charters takes booking requests for a chosen day, and SA Painting Professionals lets visitors check their suburb or postcode against the areas it serves.

Home page of the Cape Fishing Charters website

Cape Fishing Charters

Community, creative & tourism · Cape Jervis

Full-day fishing charters from Cape Jervis, South Australia. The one-page site is built around a booking request form, with gift voucher requests, a catch photo gallery, an FAQ, reviews and a map. A hire enquiry works the same way: the customer picks a date and says what they need, and the business confirms.

“…Salem walked us through everything, gave us a fixed quote so we knew exactly what we were paying, and turned around the build faster than we thought possible.”

  • Payment. No deposit. We build your draft first, you ask for as many changes as you like, and you pay once you approve it. If you don't go ahead, you owe nothing.
  • GST. WebCraft Studio isn't registered for GST, so no GST is added.
  • Timing. Most sites are live within 5–10 days of us getting your words and photos; bigger sites (up to 8 pages) take 2–3 weeks.
  • Hosting. After launch, hosting is $30 a month: hosting, security monitoring, backups, email support and unlimited text and image changes on your existing pages. New pages or features are quoted first. No contract, cancel anytime.
  • Domain and email. We register your domain in your name (about $20 a year), connect it to your site and set up your business email.

Questions hire companies ask us

Can customers see live availability and pay online?

Yes, in one of two ways. If you run hire software that tracks stock by date and takes deposits, the site's Book or Check availability buttons open it. Or we build a booking and payment system into the site itself, quoted per job. A plain online store won't do this by itself, because it counts stock rather than dates, but it suits anything you sell outright, such as balloons or decorations: our stores cost $799 for up to 25 products or $1,999 for unlimited products.

We stock hundreds of items. Will they fit in an 8-page site?

Yes. Each category becomes a page with its items in a grid, filterable by type, so the catalogue grows without needing new pages. Adding items, swapping photos or changing quantities on existing pages is covered by the $30 monthly hosting. A whole new category page is quoted first.

Should we publish hire prices or make people ask?

We suggest prices for standard items like chairs, tables, linen and heaters, and a starting price for marquees and styled packages that depend on the site. People planning to a budget can then build a rough list before they enquire. If a fee is compulsory, it goes in the price shown; NSW Fair Trading's pricing standards (opens in a new tab) explain the rule.

Which package suits a hire business?

A small business hiring out a few inflatables or a single marquee can fit on the one-page site at $399. Most hire companies suit the 3-page site at $899: home and enquiry form, catalogue, and delivery and terms. Bigger ranges, with a page per category, are better on the 8-page site at $1,499. A site that size takes 2–3 weeks once we have your words and photos.

Do you build sites for hire companies outside Adelaide?

Yes. We're a web design team at Ste 3/110 Hutt St, Adelaide, working with businesses Australia-wide by phone and email, and our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. Send your item list as a spreadsheet with photos, your delivery zones and your terms, and we'll send a draft link back to check between jobs.

Ready to start your hire website?

Send us your item list with photos and sizes, your delivery zones and your hire terms. We'll quote it, build the full draft, and you pay only once you've approved it.

We reply within 24 hours. Prefer email? info@webcraftstudio.com.au
