Website Design for Electricians in Shepparton

Websites for electricians in Shepparton, Mooroopna, Kialla and the Goulburn Valley towns: make-safe and reconnection work after water gets in, cooling for 32-degree Januarys, factory and cool-store maintenance kept apart from house calls, and your REC number where customers can check it.

What a Shepparton electrician's website needs

Shepparton and Mooroopna face each other across the Goulburn River, and in October 2022 floodwater went through homes in both. In November, Energy Safe Victoria inspectors found exposed live wires in houses around Shepparton where flood-damaged plaster had been stripped. In a week like that, the electrician who gets the call is the one whose site says plainly that they inspect, make safe and arrange reconnection.

  • Flood inspections and make-safe, each named

Testing wiring after water has been through, isolating circuits before the plasterers start, checking appliances that went under and inspecting solar panels and batteries before they're switched back on. List every one, so the words a worried owner types into a search are on your page.

  • Reconnection, step by step

When Powercor won't reconnect a property until damage on the customer's side is fixed, it wants a licensed electrician to inspect, email it a Certificate of Electrical Safety and ring to arrange the reconnection. Three lines saying you handle all three steps take some of the worry out of a hard week.

  • Factory, cool-store and orchard work kept apart

Breakdown and maintenance work in packing sheds, cold rooms, dairies and processing plants needs its own section, with the kinds of sites you've worked on and whether you take maintenance contracts. Run it together with powerpoint installs and neither customer finds what they came for.

  • Cooling near the top from November

Split-system installs, dedicated circuits and air-conditioner faults are what people search for once summer arrives. Move them up the home page for the season, and add a line for property managers about the rental cooling standard that begins in March 2027.

  • Your REC number beside the quote form

Energy Safe Victoria requires it on promotional material. We put it in the footer of every page and next to the form, spelled the way the public register shows it, so an agent or insurance assessor arranging repairs can check it in seconds.

  • The languages you speak, next to the phone number

Punjabi, Arabic and Hazaraghi were among the languages most often spoken at home after English across Shepparton and Mooroopna at the 2021 census. If someone on your crew speaks one of them, saying so beside the call button lets a customer describe a fault in their own words.

Electrical work in Shepparton: floods, Powercor and summer heat

The rules are Victoria's. Shepparton electrical contractors register with Energy Safe Victoria, show their REC number on promotional material and certify installation work on a Certificate of Electrical Safety; prescribed work such as a main switchboard or a solar system is inspected by an independent inspector before it's energised. Our Melbourne electricians page goes through those rules and Victoria's rental electrical checks in full, so a Shepparton site only needs a line or two on them.

After the 2022 flood. Shepparton and Mooroopna were among the Victorian towns with major flooding in October 2022. On 21 November that year, Energy Safe Victoria reminded tradespeople repairing flood-damaged homes to have a licensed electrician make the property safe before work began, after its inspectors visited several homes around Shepparton in a single week and found exposed, live wiring where flood-damaged plaster had been removed. The regulator pointed to section 43A of the Electricity Safety Act 1998, which says a person doing building work must not create an unsafe situation by leaving live electrical equipment accessible. An electrician who de-energises a house before the strip-out is doing what the regulator asked for, and a builder or plasterer planning a repair job wants to find that service quickly.

Getting the power back on. Energy Safe Victoria's flood advice is direct: if water has entered a property, the power stays off until a licensed electrician has tested the wiring; appliances that went under aren't plugged in until they've been tested; and solar systems and batteries are treated as live until a licensed electrician has inspected them. Where Powercor has disconnected a supply and won't reconnect until customer-side damage is repaired, its reconnection page sets out the electrician's part: a safety and compliance inspection, the Certificate of Electrical Safety emailed to Powercor, and a call to arrange the reconnection, which Powercor then does free of charge. Shepparton, Mooroopna and the Goulburn Valley towns around them are on Powercor's network. A flood page that lists those steps in that order answers most of what a household asks in the first phone call.

Summer work. Shepparton's average January maximum is 32.1°C, and the city recorded 46.1°C on 7 February 2009. Cooling is also becoming a rental obligation: from 1 March 2027, a rental with no fixed cooling needs an energy-efficient fixed cooler in the main living area when a new lease starts or an existing one moves to month-to-month, and from 1 July 2030 every Victorian rental needs one. Our Bendigo electricians page covers which systems qualify. On a Shepparton site, a short note for property managers saying you install and wire compliant units is enough.

Who you'll be working for. Agriculture and the manufacturing built around it are Shepparton's main industries, and the fruit processor SPC has a production facility in the city. That gives maintenance electricians with factory, cold-room or dairy experience a customer quite unlike the household market, and the site should speak to both without blurring them. WebCraft Studio is an Adelaide team, and we work with Goulburn Valley electricians by phone and email: you send your REC details, services, towns and photos, we build a draft you can check on your phone, and you pay once you approve it.

Trade sites we've built

We haven't built an electrician's site yet, and none of our clients are in the Goulburn Valley. These two come closest to the parts a Shepparton electrical site needs: a quote form that takes file uploads, and a regional trade site built around a large photo gallery.

Home page of the Simple Engineers website

Simple Engineers

Professional services · Adelaide

Adelaide structural engineers whose quote form shows fee ranges and accepts file uploads. For an electrician, the same kind of form can take photos of water damage, a defect notice or a switchboard, so you know what you're walking into before you leave the yard.

Home page of the Tomi's Bobcat and Excavation website

Tomi's Bobcat and Excavation

Trades & construction · South Pambula & Bega Valley

A bobcat and excavation business in the Bega Valley, NSW. The one-page site has three service sections, a swipeable 42-photo gallery, testimonials and a contact form; a gallery like that, captioned by town, suits before-and-after shots of rewiring and switchboard jobs.

“My website is exactly how I wanted. I highly recommend Salem for any business wanting a professional website without the bull.”

Questions from Shepparton electricians

Should flood work stay on the site when there's no flood?

We'd keep it, worded calmly. Inspections after water damage, making a house safe before plastering and the reconnection paperwork are jobs people search for at the moment they need them, and a page that already exists is there to be found. Text changes on existing pages are included in the $30 monthly hosting, so you can adjust it when the river is up.

What should we say about reconnection after a flood?

Stick to the steps. Energy Safe Victoria says the power stays off after water gets in until a licensed electrician has tested the wiring. If Powercor has disconnected the supply because of damage on the customer's side, the electrician inspects, emails Powercor a Certificate of Electrical Safety and arranges the reconnection. Say you do each step, and link to Energy Safe Victoria's flood advice for everything else.

Do we need to explain the 2027 cooling standard?

Only if you want agency work. One short paragraph does it: from 1 March 2027 a rental with no fixed cooling needs an energy-efficient fixed cooler in the main living area when a new lease starts, and you install and wire units that comply. Consumer Affairs Victoria has the detail, so link there rather than repeating it.

We do factory maintenance and house calls. One site or two?

One site, with a separate commercial page or section. A maintenance manager wants the kinds of plant you've worked on, your insurance and how call-outs work; a householder wants to know you'll come to Mooroopna on Thursday. Separate pages let each find their part without wading through the other.

You're in Adelaide. How does that work for a Shepparton business?

Everything happens by phone and email. WebCraft Studio is in Adelaide and our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. You send your REC details, services, towns and photos; we build a draft; you ask for as many changes as you like and pay once you approve it. We reply within 24 hours.
