How Much Does a Website Cost in Moreton Bay?

Several providers pitching to North Lakes, Redcliffe and Caboolture advertise websites for about $1,000, while agency ranges for a business site run to $15,000. Here's what separates the offers, what changes cost after launch, and what we charge.

What providers advertise to Moreton Bay businesses

Moreton Bay sits between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, so most of the studios competing for its work are based in Brisbane or further afield. These are the prices on their Moreton Bay and North Lakes pages in November 2026, with a national cost guide's Brisbane band for comparison. None of them states whether GST is included.

Gold Coast agency, North Lakes page$1,500–$3,500 landing page; $5,000–$15,000 business site; $15,000+ premiumIndicative ranges for custom builds; fixed quote after a free strategy call

WebCraft Studio$399, $899 or $1,499One page, up to 3 or up to 8 pages, coded by hand, no GST added

The Gold Coast agency calls its figures indicative ranges, and most of the others say their price is a starting point. Treat every number here as the opening of a conversation, not a final quote.

Four offers around $1,000, four different deals

Four of the providers advertise within $10 of each other, which makes it tempting to pick on price alone. Read the inclusions and they turn out to be quite different deals:

  • The $1,000 flat package gives you up to five pages and two rounds of revisions. Later edits are billed at $75 an hour or through a $75 monthly plan.
  • The from-$999 studio writes your copy after a short interview and sources stock photos. If you don't have words ready, that's real value.
  • The from-$995 studio folds hosting and support into its packages, so the monthly side matters as much as the build.
  • The from-$990 studio adds managed hosting from $50 a month, which is $600 a year on top.

Our nearest packages are $899 for up to three pages and $1,499 for up to eight. We arrange the words and photos you supply rather than writing copy, so if you need the writing done for you, an offer that includes copywriting may be the better buy. If you have your words and photos and want more room, the 8-page package gives you three more pages than the $1,000 flat package for $499 more.

What changes cost after launch

The bigger difference often shows up a year in. Prices change, a new service starts, a staff photo needs replacing. Here's what a year of small edits might cost under each published model:

Cost of a year of small edits, using published rates
ModelHow edits are chargedYear one
Pay as you go$75 an hour$900 if you need an hour a month
Maintenance plan$75 a month, 1 hour of updates included$900, with work over an hour billed extra
Managed hosting from the Newcastle studioFrom $50 a month; edits not specifiedFrom $600
WebCraft Studio hosting$30 a month, unlimited text and image changes on existing pages$360

Our $30 covers hosting, security monitoring, backups, email support and those changes. New pages or features are quoted before we start, there's no contract, and you can cancel anytime. If you'd rather log in and make your own edits every day, a WordPress site from one of the other providers may suit you better; our comparison of WordPress and hand-coded sites covers that trade-off.

One city, many centres

The council area became the City of Moreton Bay in July 2023. It had 476,340 residents at the 2021 census and is ranked the third most populous local government area in Australia, after Brisbane and the Gold Coast. It is also spread out: Redcliffe on the peninsula, North Lakes and Strathpine in the south, Caboolture and Morayfield in the north, and Bribie Island on the coast.

Customers tend to search by the centre they live in, so a business that covers the whole city often benefits from a page for each area it serves, with the suburbs, travel times and jobs relevant to that area. Bright Building & Renovations, one of our clients in Adelaide, uses this approach: its 30-page site has seven service-area pages alongside its service pages and a seven-step quote form. A smaller version fits our up-to-8-page package, with a home page, a services page and pages for Redcliffe, North Lakes, Caboolture and Bribie Island.

Each area page needs its own words. Pages that only swap the suburb name help nobody, so plan on a short paragraph per area about the work you actually do there.

Free help from City of Moreton Bay

The council put $1 million into its Business Boost initiative in the 2024–25 budget, aiming to work with about 1,500 businesses through workshops, training and mentoring. Current programs listed on its website include SMART Foundations, a free six-month program of six workshops for sole traders and home-based businesses covering tax, pricing, cash flow and invoicing, and a UniSC Tax Clinic, where students supervised by a registered tax agent give free tax help until 2027. A program that offered free accounting and digital marketing subscriptions has closed after filling.

Contact the council's economic development team at economic@moretonbay.qld.gov.au for what's running now. Getting your pricing and services straight first makes the website easier to plan and quicker to build.

Working with us from Moreton Bay

We don't have clients in Moreton Bay yet. Our clients are in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, and the closest to Moreton Bay is Queensland Dance & Performing Arts at Thorneside on Brisbane's Bayside, whose 12-page site has a page for each program, a weekly class timetable, a filterable photo gallery and an online enrolment form.

A Moreton Bay project runs by phone and email from our Adelaide office. You send your words and photos, we build a draft and send you the link, and you reply with changes until you're happy. There's no deposit, and you pay once you approve the draft. Lockyer Valley Batteries wrote in a Google review: “Rebuilt two websites for our businesses and saved us a fortune on hosting etc. Nothing is ever a problem, will email back on a Saturday night if need be.” Queensland doesn't change its clocks, so for half the year we're half an hour ahead of you and for the other half you're half an hour ahead of us.

Moreton Bay website cost questions

How much does a website cost in Moreton Bay?

Several providers advertise sites from $990 to $1,000, a Gold Coast agency lists $5,000–$15,000 for a business site, and a national cost guide puts a 5–10 page Brisbane site at $2,000–$6,000. Ours are $399 for one page, $899 for up to three and $1,499 for up to eight, with no GST added.

Why are some North Lakes offers cheaper than Brisbane agency prices?

They usually cover fewer pages, use a template or set layout, and cap revisions or editing time. Agency prices tend to include strategy, custom design and more pages. Compare page count, who writes the words, and what edits cost after launch.

Will you write the words for our site?

No. You send your words and photos and we arrange them into the pages. If you'd rather have the copy written for you, choose a provider that includes it. If you don't have a logo, we help with one at no charge.

Can customers book appointments online?

Yes. We build online booking and payment systems into a site and quote them per job, or we link a booking tool you already use, such as Fresha or Calendly, from every page.

Do you have clients in Moreton Bay?

Not yet. Our clients are in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, including a dance school on Brisbane's Bayside. Everyone outside Adelaide works with us by phone and email, which is how a Moreton Bay project would run.
