How Much Does a Website Cost on the Gold Coast?

Published Gold Coast prices run from packages under $1,000 that carry a monthly fee to agency builds of $10,000 and more. This guide covers what pushes a Coast quote up, what each kind of provider charges, how monthly fees change the total, and where our fixed prices sit.

Gold Coast website prices in 2026

These are the prices that a Gold Coast studio, a set of packages aimed at Gold Coast businesses and one agency's Gold Coast price guide were showing in October 2026. Some are plus GST, some come with a monthly fee, and some say nothing about either, so read the small print before you put them side by side.

A digital agency in Ashmore makes a fair point in a June 2026 article: a site in the $2,000–$5,000 range that keeps bringing in enquiries can work out cheaper over time than a $1,000 site that has to be rebuilt. We agree with the logic. The question to ask of any price, ours included, is what you actually get for it and what you'll keep paying afterwards.

What makes a Gold Coast quote climb

A national cost-guide site that publishes Gold Coast figures describes Coast websites as taking bookings, deposits and enquiries before anyone picks up the phone, with design briefs that often arrive with a booking engine attached. That expectation is what moves prices here. In its examples, a plain service brochure sits in the $2,000–$6,000 band, and adding bookings, deposits or a heavy gallery moves the same site to $6,000–$15,000. It gives three Coast examples:

  • a seasonal campaign page for a Southport hotel, at $800–$3,000;
  • a Robina clinic that takes treatment deposits online, at $6,000–$15,000;
  • a tour or accommodation operator with live availability feeding a CRM, at $15,000–$40,000.

Each connected system adds design, testing and something that renews. The same guide lists booking engine subscriptions and payment provider fees as running costs that sit outside the build price, so a clinic or tour operator should budget for those whoever builds the site.

Our prices are set by page count, not by how busy the Coast is. When a business needs bookings or payments built into the site, we quote that work per job once we know how your bookings run. If you already take bookings through Fresha, Cliniko or Calendly, we can link that system from your pages instead, so customers book in the tool you already manage.

Freelancers, studios and agencies on the Coast

An agency's Gold Coast price guide, updated in October 2026, puts a freelancer's project at $2,000–$10,000 or more and an agency project at $10,000–$50,000 or more. Where work is billed by the hour, it lists $80–$150 for freelancers and $150–$250 for agencies. The same guide estimates that Sydney and Melbourne charge 20–40% more than the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, which is worth knowing if a southern agency is on your shortlist.

Project prices tell you more than hourly rates. A $4,000 freelancer quote and a $12,000 agency quote can both be fair: the agency may be including strategy sessions, copywriting, photography and a project manager, while the freelancer is building from the content you hand over. Ask each provider to list what's in the price and what you'll be asked to supply. We build from your words and photos, arranging them into the pages, and we don't bill by the hour.

Monthly fees change the maths

Some of the lowest headline prices aimed at the Coast come with a monthly fee attached. One set of packages pitched at Gold Coast businesses charges $799 for one page plus $59 a month for support, $1,299 for five pages plus $88 a month, and $1,999 for ten pages plus $109 a month. Over three years, the monthly fee becomes the bigger number.

Three-year cost of published packages, before any domain fees
PackageUp frontMonthlyThree years
One-page package marketed to the Coast$799$59$2,923
Five-page package$1,299$88$4,467
Ten-page package with a small store$1,999$109$5,923
Our one-page site$399$30$1,479
Our site of up to 3 pages$899$30$1,979
Our site of up to 8 pages$1,499$30$2,579

To be fair to those packages, the ten-page option includes e-commerce for up to ten products, which our page prices don't (our stores start at $799 for up to 25 products). Their pages don't say whether GST is included, and each package comes with a set number of revision rounds, from one on the smallest to five on the largest. With us you can ask for as many changes to the draft as you like before you approve it, and the $30 a month covers unlimited text and image changes on your existing pages.

The agency price guide gives other running costs to allow for: managed hosting at $50–$150 a month, plugin and software licences at $70–$300 a year, content updates billed at $150–$200 an hour, and ongoing SEO from $500 a month. Our article on the hidden costs of a cheap website goes through the fees that tend to appear after launch.

Redesigns come round sooner here

The cost-guide site says refresh cycles on the Coast run faster than anywhere outside the CBDs. The agency guide starts basic updates at $2,000 and prices most small business redesigns at $3,000–$10,000, and complex rebuilds at $20,000 and up.

We charge the same for a rebuild as for a new site, based on how many pages the new version has. Your current site stays up while we build the draft, and nothing changes for your customers until you've approved it. If you're unsure whether your site needs a fresh look or a full rebuild, our guide to redesigning or rebuilding sets out how to tell.

When a bigger Gold Coast agency is the better buy

Paying more is the right call in some situations. A larger Coast agency is likely to suit you better if:

  • you need live availability shared across booking channels and a CRM, the $15,000–$40,000 work in the cost guide's examples;
  • you want someone to write your copy and photograph your venue, rooms or treatments, which we don't do;
  • you'll be running paid ads to dedicated landing pages and want one firm managing the ads, the pages and the reporting;
  • you need a store connected to your stock, warehouse or accounting systems from day one.

For a tradie in Nerang, a physio in Robina or a cafe in Burleigh, most of that goes beyond what the site has to do. Clear services, the area you cover, photos of your work, reviews and a fast way to call or enquire do most of the work.

Free business help from the City of Gold Coast

The federal business.gov.au directory lists the City of Gold Coast as a free contact for information on business support, advice and mentoring, training, workshops, networks and grants, in person or by phone, and gives council's address as 47 Nerang Street, Southport. Before you collect quotes, it's worth using a session like that to settle what the site has to do: take bookings, take deposits, bring in quote requests or simply show you're open. A brief that answers that question gets you quotes you can compare.

Working with us from the Gold Coast

We're an Adelaide team at Ste 3/110 Hutt St, and Gold Coast businesses work with us by phone and email. You send your words and photos, we send a link to the draft, and you reply with changes whenever it suits you. Queensland doesn't use daylight saving and South Australia does, so Gold Coast clocks run half an hour ahead of Adelaide's for half the year and half an hour behind from October to April. Nothing in the process depends on being online at the same moment.

Our Queensland clients include Queensland Dance & Performing Arts at Thorneside on Brisbane's Bayside, whose 12-page site has a class timetable, a filterable photo gallery and an online enrolment form, and M.J. Debney Plumbing & Gas, with a single-page site and a swipeable 13-photo gallery. Every job with us is quoted at a fixed price before we start. SA Tiling Pro Pty Ltd put it this way in their Google review: “…gave us a fixed quote so we knew exactly what we were paying, and turned around the build faster than we thought possible.”

Gold Coast website cost questions

How much does a small business website cost on the Gold Coast?

Published 2026 prices run from packages under $1,000 that carry a monthly fee, through studio starters from $3,000 plus GST, to agency lead generation sites of $5,000–$15,000. Our prices are fixed by page count: $399, $899 or $1,499, with no GST added.

Why are some Gold Coast packages so cheap up front?

Many of them add a monthly fee. A $799 package with a $59 monthly fee costs $2,923 over three years. Before you sign, multiply the monthly fee by 36 and add the build price, and check what happens to the site if you stop paying.

Do Gold Coast website prices include GST?

Often they don't, or they don't say. One Surfers Paradise studio lists its packages plus GST, and several low-cost packages don't mention it. A business that isn't registered for GST pays the extra 10% in full. We aren't registered for GST, so our prices have nothing added.

Can clients pay a deposit or book online through our site?

Yes. We build online booking and payment systems into sites and quote them per job once we know how your bookings work. If you already use Fresha, Cliniko or Calendly, we can link it from your pages instead.

Do you charge less to rebuild a site we already have?

A rebuild is priced the same way as a new site, by the number of pages: $399, $899 or $1,499. We can reuse the words and photos already on your current site, and it stays live until you approve the new one.

Will someone come to our business on the Gold Coast?

No. We work with Gold Coast businesses by phone and email from Adelaide. Phone photos of your premises and your work are fine to start with, and the draft arrives as a link you can check on any device.
