Bendigo website prices, as published
The table uses the published figures we could check for Bendigo work in October 2026: an online marketplace's Bendigo estimates, a Newcastle studio with a page for Bendigo clients, a provider in Ballarat as the nearest regional Victorian price list we found, and a national cost guide that has no Bendigo page but publishes Australia-wide bands.
| Option | Published price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Marketplace estimate, landing page | $400–$2,400 | A single page designed to bring in enquiries |
| Marketplace estimate, small business site | $960–$4,800 | 5 to 10 pages, basic search set-up, mobile-friendly |
| Marketplace estimate, custom site | $4,000–$12,000 | 10 to 20 pages of custom design, with copywriting |
| Marketplace estimate, online store | $3,200–$28,000+ | Product catalogue, payments and stock |
| Newcastle studio with a Bendigo page | Websites from $990; managed hosting from $50 a month | Says Bendigo clients pay its Newcastle prices |
| Ballarat provider, starter | $1,000 | Five pages, a contact form and 30 days of support |
| The same provider, business package | $3,000 | Up to ten pages with online shop features, a blog and 90 days of priority support |
| National cost guide, small business site | $2,000–$6,000 | 5 to 10 pages on an established platform |
| National cost guide, custom build | $6,000–$15,000 | Custom design, a content management system and speed work |
| WebCraft Studio | $399, $899 or $1,499 | One page, up to 3 or up to 8 pages, coded by hand, no GST added |
Three of the starting points sit within $40 of each other: $960, $990 and $1,000 for a small site. None of those providers says whether GST is included, and the marketplace describes its figures as estimates built from regional averages, so use them as a guide to the range and get written quotes for the real number.
Melbourne's numbers, applied to Bendigo
The marketplace says Bendigo web design runs at about $800, which it calls a more competitive entry point than its $1,000 national figure. Every band on its Bendigo page is identical to its Melbourne page, so these look like Victorian estimates rather than figures drawn from Bendigo quotes.
The cost guide's page for Geelong, another regional Victorian city, describes rates there as a notch under Melbourne's, because Melbourne studios set the ceiling and owners routinely compare written scopes from both. Bendigo is about 150 km north-west of Melbourne, close enough for the same comparison. When a Melbourne quote and a local one differ for the same pages, the difference often sits in what's included: who writes the words, who supplies the photos, how many design rounds you get, and whether support after launch is part of the price.
What a Bendigo site costs, by kind of business
Bendigo's major industries include health, finance, tourism, commerce and education, with Bendigo Bank's head office and Thales Australia's heavy engineering operation both in the city. What a site has to do for each kind of business matters more to the price than the postcode does.
Suppliers to manufacturing, mining and defence
A firm that machines, fabricates, maintains or transports for larger operators needs pages for capabilities, equipment, certifications and finished jobs, plus a quote form that accepts drawings. On its Geelong page, the cost guide puts suppliers to institutional employers in its $6,000–$15,000 band. With us, that site fits in up to 8 pages for $1,499, provided the technical detail and photos come from you: we arrange and format your content, and a multi-step quote form with file uploads is part of the build.
Clinics and health services
Bendigo Health is the city's largest hospital, and health is one of its major industries. Patients want to see practitioners, services, fees and a way to book. If you already use HotDoc or Cliniko, we link it from every page, and a three-page site at $899 suits a small clinic. Booking and payment built into the site itself we quote per job; the cost guide's integrated tier for sites with bookings runs $15,000–$40,000. Registered practitioners also have advertising rules set by Ahpra and the National Boards, which our guide to Ahpra's advertising rules points to.
Cafes, restaurants and producers in a City of Gastronomy
UNESCO has listed Bendigo as a Creative City of Gastronomy since 2019, and the Easter Festival brings tens of thousands of visitors over the long weekend. A venue needs its menu, hours, location and a booking link where a visitor can find them in seconds. Our three-page site handles that, with an OpenTable or similar link if you use one. Growers and food makers selling direct can choose one of our online stores instead: $799 for up to 25 products with one payment gateway, or $1,999 for unlimited products, several payment options, customer accounts and advanced shipping, against the marketplace's $3,200 to $28,000-plus estimate for a store.
Sole traders and new businesses
A new trade, a mobile service or a side business usually needs one page: what you do, the suburbs you cover from Kangaroo Flat to Strathfieldsaye, photos, reviews and a number to tap. That's our $399 site, just under the bottom of the marketplace's $400–$2,400 landing-page estimate.
Redesigning a Bendigo site that's showing its age
If your business already has a site, built years ago, that's slow on a phone or hard to update, a redesign may be the next job. The national cost guide puts a redesign of a sound site you own at $2,000–$8,000, and says that usually beats a rebuild. We charge the same for a rebuild as for a new site, by page count.
Before you commission a redesign from anyone, check three things. First, that the domain is registered in your name, so you can move it. Second, which words and photos are worth keeping, since reusing them saves time. Third, that the old site stays live until you've approved the new one. With us, the new site is built as a draft while the current one keeps running, your domain stays registered to you, and if you don't like the draft, you don't pay.
Two maintenance figures, and what $30 a month covers
The marketplace's Bendigo page gives two different ranges for upkeep: $50–$400 a month for basic updates, security patches and backups in one place, and $150–$1,000 a month for ongoing maintenance in its list of hidden costs. It doesn't explain the gap. The cost guide puts care plans covering updates, backups, security and small edits at $50–$300 a month, and the Newcastle studio's managed hosting starts at $50 a month. Here's a five-year worked example using the low end of the published figures:
| Option | Build | 60 months of upkeep | Five-year total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small business site at the marketplace's floor, with a $50 care plan | $960 | $3,000 | $3,960 |
| Our site of up to 3 pages | $899 | $1,800 | $2,699 |
| Our site of up to 8 pages | $1,499 | $1,800 | $3,299 |
Add a domain to every row; ours is about $20 a year, registered in your name. Our $30 a month covers hosting, security monitoring, backups, email support and unlimited text and image changes on your existing pages. New pages or features are quoted first, there's no contract and you can cancel anytime. If you'd rather edit the site yourself through a content management system, a provider that builds on one may suit you better, and our WordPress versus hand-coded guide sets out the trade-off.
Council help for Greater Bendigo businesses going online
The City of Greater Bendigo runs a Business help desk on 1300 002 642 that helps you understand how different parts of council affect your business and what support exists to start or grow it. Its business support page also points to Be.Bendigo, the not-for-profit chamber of commerce; Start Up Central Victoria, for founders; the Emporium Creative Hub for creative businesses; and the Australian Government's Digital Solutions program, delivered in Victoria by Melbourne Innovation Centre, which offers one-on-one mentoring, free workshops and digital courses for growing a business online.
Council says its Business Matters newsletter can reach over 4,000 businesses in the Greater Bendigo region, and you can apply through its Spotlight on a local business form to have yours featured. Once the site is live, that's a free way to tell local customers about it.
Working with us from Bendigo
We're an Adelaide team at Ste 3/110 Hutt St, and Bendigo businesses work with us by phone and email. None of our clients is in Bendigo yet. In Victoria, we built the site for Dr Tabara Dione Coaching in Melbourne, which links discovery-call booking from every page. Lockyer Valley Batteries put the remote side of it this way in a Google review: “Nothing is ever a problem, will email back on a Saturday night if need be.”
You email your words, photos and the towns you cover, we send back a link to a working draft, and you ask for changes until it's right. Most sites are live within 5–10 days of us getting your words and photos; bigger sites (up to 8 pages) take 2–3 weeks. You pay once you approve the draft. If you don't go ahead, you owe nothing, and if you need a logo, we'll help with one at no charge.

Bendigo website cost questions
How much does a website cost in Bendigo?
An online marketplace estimates $960–$4,800 for a 5 to 10 page small business site in Bendigo and $4,000–$12,000 for a custom one. A national cost guide puts a typical small business site at $2,000–$6,000. Ours are $399, $899 or $1,499 by page count, with no GST added.
Is a Bendigo website cheaper than a Melbourne one?
The marketplace we checked gives Bendigo and Melbourne identical estimates, both below its national figure. A national cost guide's Geelong page says rates there sit a notch under Melbourne's. We charge the same in Bendigo as in Melbourne or Adelaide.
Does a capability site for an industrial supplier cost more?
Often, elsewhere: a national cost guide puts suppliers to institutional employers in its $6,000–$15,000 band. With us, up to 8 pages is $1,499, covering capabilities, certifications, projects and a quote form for drawings, as long as you supply the technical content. If you need it written for you, an agency is the better fit.
What does it cost to keep a Bendigo site running?
With us, $30 a month covers hosting, security monitoring, backups, email support and unlimited text and image changes on your existing pages, plus about $20 a year for the domain. The marketplace estimates maintenance at $50–$400 a month, and a Newcastle studio's hosting starts at $50 a month.
Can our restaurant show its menu and take bookings online?
Yes. We put your menu, hours and location on the site and link the booking platform you already use, such as OpenTable, from every page. If you want booking and payment built into the site itself, we quote that per job once we know how your bookings work.
What does it cost to redesign our old website?
With us, the same as a new site: $399, $899 or $1,499 by page count. A national cost guide puts a redesign of a sound site you own at $2,000–$8,000. Your current site stays live while we build the new one as a draft, and you pay only once you approve it.
