Website Design for Tradies in Adelaide

We're an Adelaide team building sites for South Australian trades that put your CBS licence number up front, say plainly which parts of Adelaide you cover, and turn a search on a phone into a call.

What an Adelaide trade website needs

Anyone in South Australia can check a builder's licence on the Consumer and Business Services (CBS) public register, so it's worth making your number easy to find. Customers also want to know you'll come to their side of town without having to ring and ask. A good site answers both.

  • Your licence number on every page

Builders, plumbers, gas fitters and electricians in South Australia all need the right licence for their work. We put your number in the footer of every page, beside the exact name it's issued to, so it matches what a customer finds on the CBS register and on your contracts.

  • Regions first, then suburbs

Start with the regions you cover, such as the northern suburbs, the inner east or the Adelaide Hills, then list the suburbs you most want work from under each. Someone in Golden Grove or Hallett Cove can see at a glance whether you come out that far.

  • A separate line for the Hills or the Fleurieu

If you head up the freeway or down south for bigger jobs, say where and for which work. A line such as Fleurieu: renovations and new builds only saves you calls about small jobs you'd turn down, and tells the right customers you'll make the trip.

  • Room for builders as well as homeowners

If you take subcontract work from builders alongside private jobs, say so and list the kind of work you take on. The form can give builders a way to attach plans or a scope, so you can price from the drawings before anyone rings.

  • Photos captioned with the job and suburb

A gallery labelled Bathroom, Prospect or Fence and gates, Aldinga shows local customers you've worked near them. We lay photos out to swipe on a phone and size them so they stay sharp without slowing the page down.

  • A call button and a short form

Customers who find you on a phone usually want to ring, not read. We put a call button at the top of every page and keep the form to name, phone, suburb and a line about the job, with room for a photo if they have one.

Licences, regions and growth areas in Adelaide

Licences in SA. Under the Building Work Contractors Act 1995, builders need a licence for most domestic building work, and the Act penalises anyone who holds themselves out as licensed when they aren't. Plumbers, gas fitters and electricians need licences too. CBS keeps a public register where customers can check a builder's licence. For domestic building contracts above the minor-work threshold, which went up on 10 November 2025, the written contract has to include the builder's business name and licence number. Putting that same name and number in the footer of every page means a customer sees one consistent set of details from your website through to the contract.

How to describe an Adelaide service area. The simplest way is by direction from the city: the northern, southern, eastern and western suburbs, with the Adelaide Hills, the Fleurieu and the Barossa further out. Council names help where a region is too broad. The City of Playford and the City of Salisbury cover much of the northern suburbs, the City of Onkaparinga the southern fringe, and the City of Charles Sturt a large part of the western suburbs. Grouping your suburbs under headings like these is easier to scan than one long list.

Where the new homes are going. The Greater Adelaide Regional Plan, released in 2025, sets out where about 315,000 additional homes will go over the next 30 years. Land for about 215,000 of them is already zoned or being rezoned, at places such as Concordia, Dry Creek and Sellicks Beach, and the plan names future growth at Two Wells, Kudla, Roseworthy and Angle Vale in the north, around Victor Harbor and Goolwa on the south coast, and at Murray Bridge. If your work follows new builds, such as fencing, landscaping, concreting, solar or fit-outs, name the newer suburbs and towns you cover as well as the established ones.

What our SA trade clients did. Bright Building & Renovations works across Adelaide, the Hills and the Fleurieu, and its site has a separate page for each of seven service areas. SA Painting Professionals covers the whole state, so its site has region pages and a suburb and postcode search that tells a customer straight away whether they're covered. A sole trader rarely needs either at the start; a clear list of regions and suburbs on one page does the job, and pages can be added later.

Questions Adelaide tradies ask us

Can we meet in Adelaide before we start?

Yes, if you'd like to. We're at Ste 3/110 Hutt St, Adelaide SA 5000. Most projects, Adelaide ones included, run by phone and email because that's easiest to fit around a working day on site, but a meeting can be arranged. Call 0451 072 412.

Should an SA tradie show a licence number on the website?

We always show it. Customers can check a builder's licence on the CBS public register, and for domestic building contracts above the minor-work threshold the contract itself must carry your business name and licence number, so the same details on your site look consistent. For the exact advertising rules for your licence type, CBS is the place to ask. We put the number in the footer of every page so it's never more than a scroll away.

Which Adelaide trade businesses have you built for?

Bright Building & Renovations, a renovation builder working across Adelaide, the Hills and the Fleurieu, and SA Painting Professionals, a painting company covering the whole state. Both sites are live and linked above, along with our other South Australian work.

Should our site list suburbs or regions?

Both. Regions such as the northern suburbs or the Adelaide Hills tell a customer at a glance whether you're likely to come out; the suburbs underneath give them, and search engines, the exact names to match. If there are areas you don't go to, leave them off rather than writing all of Adelaide.

Which package suits an Adelaide tradie?

Most sole traders start with the one-page site at $399. If you work the Hills or the Fleurieu as well as the suburbs, or want separate pages for your main jobs, the 3-page site at $899 suits. The 8-page site at $1,499 is for businesses with crews and several services.
