Website Design for Pet Groomers

Websites for grooming salons, mobile vans and home-based groomers that let an owner find their breed on the price list, book a time that suits, and know what you'll ask about before the first visit.

What a pet grooming website needs to answer

Owners choosing a groomer want to know three things: what it will cost for their dog, when you can fit them in, and whether their dog will be safe and calm with you. A new puppy owner, someone whose regular groomer has retired, or the owner of a nervous rescue reads the site closely before handing over the lead. Regulars mostly want the Book button.

  • Prices by breed, size and coat

A table owners can scan: small, medium, large and giant, or the breeds you see most (cavoodles, schnauzers, golden retrievers, border collies), each with a full groom, a bath and tidy, and a puppy introduction. Beside it, list what moves the price: matting, double coats, behaviour and how long since the last groom. Extras such as nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, de-shedding and flea washes get lines of their own, so nobody is surprised at pick-up.

  • Booking through the app you already use

If your diary runs in a grooming app such as MoeGo, the Book button opens it, and owners pick a service and a time without ringing. If you'd rather keep bookings by request, a form can ask for breed, weight, coat condition and preferred days, and you confirm by text. We can also build booking and payment into the site itself, quoted per job.

  • First-visit details collected up front

The ACT's code of practice for pet grooming establishments, which covers shops, groomers working from home and mobile vans or trailers, says each animal's record must include the owner's contact details, the animal's sex, age and breed, the treatment requested, its vaccination status and the name and phone number of its usual vet. A new-client form on the website can collect all of that before the first appointment, wherever you work.

  • Vaccination and health rules, stated plainly

Say what you ask to see. The same ACT code expects dogs to be vaccinated against distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus and kennel cough, and cats against feline enteritis, rhinotracheitis and calicivirus, with unvaccinated animals handled separately. Add what happens if a dog turns up with fleas, a skin condition or a cough, so an owner can rebook rather than be turned away at the door.

  • Matting, nervous dogs and sedation

Owners of matted or anxious dogs want your approach before they book. Explain when you'll clip a coat short rather than brush out the mats, how you handle a dog frightened of dryers or clippers, and whether you keep quieter appointment times. On calming medication, the ACT code allows sedatives only under veterinary supervision or direction and with the owner's written consent, so the honest line is that sedation is arranged through the dog's vet.

  • Before-and-after photos of real grooms

A shaggy rescue on arrival and the same dog trotting out an hour later shows an owner what you do. Keep the photos true to life, name the breed under each pair, and check the owner is happy for their pet to appear. Send the clearest shots from your phone or Instagram and we'll arrange them into a gallery grouped by breed or coat type.

  • Mobile groomers: where the van goes

List the suburbs you cover and the days you're in each area, how long a visit takes, and whether the van needs a power point or tap at the house. Pages for your main suburbs can help owners searching for a mobile groomer near them, and each can say which day of the week you're usually nearby.

Client sites that work the way a groomer's would

None of our client sites belongs to a groomer, so here are the two that come closest in how they work. Phoenix Housekeeping publishes its prices and has suburb pages across its service area, which is the layout a mobile groomer needs. Cape Fishing Charters takes booking requests and gift voucher requests on a single page with a photo gallery, the shape a home-based groomer's site could take.

Phoenix Housekeeping

Home & care services · Lake Macquarie, Cessnock & Central Coast

A family-run cleaning business in Lake Macquarie, Cessnock and the Central Coast, not a pet business. Its site publishes pricing, explains each service and has suburb pages across its area, with a quote form and tap-to-call. Put grooming prices where the cleaning prices are, and the suburb pages become the van's rounds.

Cape Fishing Charters

Community, creative & tourism · Cape Jervis

A fishing charter operator at Cape Jervis in South Australia. One page holds a booking request form, gift voucher requests, a catch photo gallery, an FAQ, customer reviews and an embedded map. Swap the catches for finished grooms and the charter dates for appointment requests, and a home-based groomer has most of what they need.

“My website is exactly how I wanted. I highly recommend Salem for any business wanting a professional website without the bull.”

Questions pet groomers ask us

Should we publish prices when every dog is different?

Yes, as starting prices by size or breed, with the reasons a price can change listed beside them. Owners who can see a likely range book with more confidence, and the talk at drop-off is about the coat rather than the bill. When your prices go up, send us the new table; text changes on existing pages are covered by the $30 monthly hosting.

Can owners book a particular groomer?

If your grooming app lets clients choose a staff member or gives each groomer a booking link, yes: each groomer's profile gets its own Book button, and the main button suits anyone happy with the first free slot. For deposits on long appointments, many grooming apps, MoeGo among them, can take a deposit at booking, or we build booking and payment systems into websites, quoted per job.

Can we sell shampoos, treats or gift vouchers on the site?

Yes. Our online stores are $799 for up to 25 products with one payment gateway and basic order management, or $1,999 for unlimited products, multiple payment options, customer accounts and advanced shipping. If you only sell a few items over the counter, a products section with prices may be enough, and a gift voucher request form, like the one on Cape Fishing Charters' site, is a simple way to start on vouchers.

We're a mobile groomer. How should the site show where we go?

For most mobile groomers, a list of suburbs grouped by the day you're in each area does the job. If owners tend to search by suburb, the 8-page site can give your main areas a page each, saying when the van visits and what it needs at the house. Keep the list to suburbs you actually travel to; owners will ring to check.

Which package suits a pet groomer?

A mobile or solo groomer often does well on the one-page site at $399. Most salons suit the 3-page site at $899 because a breed-by-breed price table and first-visit policies each need room. Salons with several groomers, cat grooming, daycare or a wide service area fit the 8-page site at $1,499; a site that size takes 2–3 weeks once we have your words and photos.

Do you build websites for groomers outside Adelaide?

Yes. Our team is at Ste 3/110 Hutt St, Adelaide, and we work with businesses Australia-wide by phone and email; current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. Send us your price list, policies and a folder of photos, and we'll reply with a draft link you can open on your phone once the last dog has gone home.

Ready to start your grooming website?

Send us your price list by breed or size, your booking link if you have one, your vaccination and matting policies, and some before-and-after photos. We'll quote it and build the draft, and you pay only once you approve it.

We reply within 24 hours. Prefer email? info@webcraftstudio.com.au
