Website Design for Car Detailers

Websites for mobile detailers and detailing studios that set out each package by vehicle size, show real before-and-after work, and let a customer book an interior clean, a paint correction or a ceramic coating without three rounds of text messages.

What a car detailing website needs to show

Someone booking a detail wants three answers fast: what's included, what it costs for their car, and whether you'll come to them. Owners weighing up paint correction or a coating read more slowly. They want to see work on cars like theirs and understand what they're paying for before they hand over the keys.

  • Packages priced by vehicle size

A table that runs from small hatch to sedan, SUV, and seven-seater, 4WD or dual-cab ute, across your maintenance wash, interior, exterior and full detail. Under each package, list what's done: vacuum and steam, leather cleaning and conditioning, clay bar, machine polish, sealant or wax. Extra charges for heavy pet hair, beach sand or mould are stated up front, so the price a customer reads is the one they pay.

  • Where the van goes, and what you need when you get there

List the suburbs you cover and whether you charge to travel further. Say whether the van carries its own water and power or needs a tap and a power point, how much room you need around the car, and whether coating work has to be done undercover. Add what happens when it rains on the day, because that's the first thing a customer asks when the forecast turns.

  • Before-and-after photos shot the same way

The same angle and light before and after: swirl marks under an inspection light, then the corrected panel; a stained back seat, then the clean one. Photos you haven't filtered show the finish a customer will actually get. Grouped by job type (interiors, correction, coatings), they let a visitor find a car like theirs in a few swipes.

  • Correction and coatings explained in plain terms

Many customers don't know a one-stage polish from a multi-stage correction, or what a ceramic coating will and won't do. A short explanation in your words covers how long you'll need the car, which coating products you use, the coating maker's warranty terms, the aftercare and any check-up visits the warranty asks for. It saves you explaining it from scratch on every quote call.

  • Gift vouchers that follow the rules

A detail makes a good present, so give vouchers their own section. Under Australia's gift card laws, most gift cards and vouchers sold must have an expiry period of at least three years, and the expiry date must be displayed prominently; if it's written as a period of time, the voucher also needs the date it was supplied. A voucher request form can collect the buyer's details, or vouchers can be paid for on the site.

  • A booking form that starts with the car

Make, model and size, what state it's in (pet hair, child seats, stains, odours), the package or add-ons, the address for a mobile job and a preferred day. Photos of the worst spots help you price a correction before you arrive. Washes and interiors suit instant booking; paint correction and coatings usually suit a request you confirm after seeing the car or its photos.

  • Fleet, dealer and car-sale work

Businesses with several vehicles want a different form: how many cars, how often, where they're parked and how invoicing works. Customers selling a car or returning a lease want a pre-sale or return detail described on its own, with the turnaround they can expect, so give each of these a section rather than burying them in the package list.

The closest sites in our portfolio

We haven't built a site for a car detailer yet, so we'll show the two client sites that come nearest in how they work: one takes booking and gift voucher requests for an outdoor service that depends on the weather, and one carries a large gallery of finished jobs that swipes on a phone.

Home page of the Cape Fishing Charters website

Cape Fishing Charters

Community, creative & tourism · Cape Jervis

Full-day fishing charters out of Cape Jervis, South Australia. One page holds a booking request form, gift voucher requests, a catch gallery, an FAQ, reviews and a map. A charter, like a mobile detail, can be moved by the weather, so customers request a date rather than locking one in, and vouchers sit right beside the bookings.

Home page of the Tomi's Bobcat and Excavation website

Tomi's Bobcat and Excavation

Trades & construction · South Pambula & Bega Valley

Bobcat and excavator work across the Bega Valley in NSW. The one-page site shows three services, a 42-photo gallery that swipes on mobile, a testimonial carousel and a contact form with its own thank-you page. A detailer's before-and-after pairs can be laid out in the same kind of gallery.

“My website is exactly how I wanted. I highly recommend Salem for any business wanting a professional website without the bull.”

  • Payment. No deposit. We build your draft first, you ask for as many changes as you like, and you pay once you approve it. If you don't go ahead, you owe nothing.
  • GST. WebCraft Studio isn't registered for GST, so no GST is added.
  • Timing. Most sites are live within 5–10 days of us getting your words and photos; bigger sites (up to 8 pages) take 2–3 weeks.
  • Hosting. After launch, hosting is $30 a month: hosting, security monitoring, backups, email support and unlimited text and image changes on your existing pages. New pages or features are quoted first. No contract, cancel anytime.
  • Domain and email. We register your domain in your name (about $20 a year), connect it to your site and set up your business email.

Questions car detailers ask us

Can customers book and pay for a detail online?

Yes. We can build booking and payment into your site, quoted per job, set up to take the full price or a deposit for bigger jobs like coatings. If you already use a booking app, we link to it from every page instead. Either way, your cancellation notice and wet-weather policy appear before the customer pays.

Should we show prices when every car is different?

Show the price of each package for each vehicle size, then list what adds to it, such as heavy pet hair or sand. business.gov.au's guidance on displaying prices (opens in a new tab) says an advertised price must be the total, including compulsory charges, while optional extras can be listed on their own. A travel fee that applies to every mobile job belongs in the total.

Can we sell gift vouchers through the website?

Yes, in one of three ways: a request form like Cape Fishing Charters uses, with you sending the voucher; vouchers sold through an online store, which starts at $799 for up to 25 products with one payment gateway; or voucher sales built into a booking and payment system, quoted per job. Each voucher needs its expiry shown, and the NSW Government's page on gift cards and vouchers (opens in a new tab) explains the three-year minimum and its exceptions.

Do ceramic coating and paint correction need their own pages?

If they're the jobs you want more of, yes. People research them before booking and search for them by name, so a page for each, with your process, how long you need the car, aftercare and real photos, gives them something to read and gives Google something to match. On the one-page site they become their own sections.

Which package suits a detailing business?

A mobile detailer can start with the one-page site at $399. A detailer with several services and plenty of photos suits the 3-page site at $899: prices and the gallery each get a page of their own. A studio offering coatings, paint protection film and fleet work fits the 8-page site at $1,499. Adding photos to an existing gallery later is covered by the $30 monthly hosting.

Do you build websites for detailers outside South Australia?

Yes. We're a web design team at Ste 3/110 Hutt St, Adelaide, working with businesses Australia-wide by phone and email, and our current clients are in SA, NSW, VIC and QLD. Send your package list, service area and photos, and we'll send back a link to the draft to check on your phone.

Ready to start your detailing website?

Send us your package list, the suburbs you cover and a handful of before-and-after photos. We'll quote it and build the draft, and you only pay once you're happy with it.

We reply within 24 hours. Prefer email? info@webcraftstudio.com.au
