How Much Does a Website Cost in Bunbury?

Most published prices for Bunbury websites come from studios outside the city: $1,500 for one page from a Perth studio, from $3,500 for a South West studio's local site, or $49 a month on a subscription. Here's how to compare them and what we charge.

What studios selling to Bunbury publish

We found few Bunbury-based studios with prices on their websites. Most of the figures below come from providers elsewhere that have pages aimed at Bunbury: one in Perth's southern suburbs, one near Margaret River, and three interstate. This is what they showed in November 2026. None says whether its prices include GST.

The marketplace describes its numbers as estimates from regional averages. It lists $500–$3,000 for a landing page, $5,000–$15,000 for a custom site of 10 to 20 pages, and $4,000–$35,000 and up for an online store.

Bunbury prices sit at the national average

The same marketplace puts the typical web design rate in Bunbury at around $1,000, level with its national figure. That's notable, because it rates some regional cities lower: Mackay comes in at about $725 on its scale. Bunbury's role as the main port and regional city of the South West, with a large mineral processing sector, may help explain why local prices don't sit at a regional discount.

In practice, Bunbury businesses are often choosing between a South West studio that knows hospitality and tourism well, a Perth studio 175 km up the Forrest Highway, and an interstate team working entirely online. All three can produce a good site. What separates them is how much of the work they take on, whether they'll meet you in person, and what they charge after launch.

A monthly plan or a one-off build?

One option in the table works differently from the others. The Melbourne provider charges no build fee and starts at $49 a month, with hosting and a set amount of editing time each month. That suits a business that would rather not find a lump sum at the start, and it can make sense for a new venture testing the market.

Over time the totals change. At the entry price, two years on a subscription comes to $1,176. A 3-page site from us costs $899 to build plus $30 a month for hosting, so $1,619 over the same two years; a one-page site comes to $1,119. The subscription's higher tiers aren't priced on its page, so get those figures before you compare. Before signing any plan, ask three things in writing:

  • Is there a minimum term, and what does it cost to leave early?
  • If you stop paying, do you keep the site, the design and the domain?
  • What happens when you need more editing than the plan includes?

With us, the domain is registered in your name, there's no contract on the $30 hosting, and you can cancel anytime. Our guide to monthly website plans versus paying upfront works through both models in more detail.

What Bunbury's economy asks of a website

Bunbury is about 175 km south of Perth and is the main port for the wider South West. Mining and mineral processing are its biggest economic driver, at around $2 billion in annual turnover, and its agricultural production has been put at about 30% of the South West region's output. Retail, services, construction, timber and tourism fill out the picture.

Those industries lead to different kinds of sites:

  • Trades and contractors covering Australind, Eaton, Dalyellup and out to Harvey or Collie often benefit from a page per service area. Our up-to-8-page package fits a home page, services and five or six areas.
  • Suppliers to industry need a plain list of capabilities and equipment, plus a quote form that asks the right questions up front.
  • Tourism and hospitality operators, from the Bunbury foreshore to Busselton 52 km away, need menus, rates and a way to book. We build online booking and payment systems into a site and quote them per job, or we link a tool you already use, such as Fresha or OpenTable.
  • Retailers can sell online through our stores: $799 for up to 25 products with one payment gateway, or $1,999 for unlimited products, several payment options and customer accounts.

The South West studio in the table notes that online stores, booking connections and point-of-sale links are scoped separately. Expect the same from most providers once a site does more than display information.

Working across the time difference

Western Australia stays on standard time (UTC+8) all year. South Australia moves to daylight saving from the first Sunday in October to the first Sunday in April. So Adelaide is an hour and a half ahead of Bunbury in winter and two and a half hours ahead in summer.

That gap affects phone calls more than the project itself. Most of the work happens by email: you send words and photos, we send a draft link, and you reply with changes when it suits you. We reply within 24 hours. If you'd like a call, mornings and early afternoons in Bunbury overlap the Adelaide working day all year. If you need a designer in the room with you or someone to photograph your premises, a South West or Perth studio is the better choice.

Free business advice in the South West

The City of Bunbury's business pages point to several free or low-cost services. Business Advisory South West and Peel, an initiative of the Small Business Development Corporation, offers free small business advice, workshops and resources in the region. The SBDC itself runs free advisory services for new and existing WA businesses, and the Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce and Industry offers members a local business network. The City also publishes a free Bunbury Grant Finder that lists over 500 grants with email alerts.

A session with one of those advisers is a good way to decide what your site needs to do, whether that's taking enquiries, showing a price list or taking bookings, before you start asking studios for prices.

Working with us from Bunbury

We don't have clients in Western Australia yet. Our clients are in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, and a Bunbury project would run the way all our work outside Adelaide does: by phone and email, with a draft link you can check from anywhere.

The closest thing in our portfolio to many South West businesses is Cape Fishing Charters at Cape Jervis in South Australia: a one-page site with a booking request form, gift voucher requests, a catch gallery, an FAQ, reviews and a map.

On how we handle changes, Tony Bleijswijk described the revision stage in a Google review: “He listened to my feedback and made no hesitations to revise and adjust my website until we were completely happy with it.” There's no deposit, and you pay only once you approve the draft.

Bunbury website cost questions

How much does a website cost in Bunbury?

Published prices start at $1,500 for a single page from a Perth studio, $3,000 for a site with service pages and from $3,500 for a South West studio's local site. Interstate studios with Bunbury pages start at $750 and $990, and a marketplace estimates $1,200–$6,000 for a 5–10 page site. Ours are $399, $899 or $1,499, with no GST added.

Is a monthly website plan cheaper than paying upfront?

At first, yes. Over two years, a $49 monthly plan costs $1,176, while a 3-page site from us is $899 plus $30 a month hosting, or $1,619. Check minimum terms, who owns the site when you stop paying, and what extra editing costs before choosing.

Does the time difference with Adelaide cause problems?

Rarely. Adelaide is 1.5 hours ahead of Bunbury in winter and 2.5 hours ahead during daylight saving. Most of the project runs by email, you check the draft when it suits you, and we reply within 24 hours.

Can guests book accommodation or tables through our site?

Yes. We build online booking and payment systems into a site and quote them per job, or link a booking tool you already use from every page.

Do you have clients in Bunbury or WA?

Not yet. Our clients are in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. Everyone outside Adelaide works with us by phone and email, which is how a Bunbury project would run.
