What Bundaberg web designers publish
Several providers selling to Bundaberg businesses put prices on their websites, which makes a first comparison easier than in many places. The table covers two based in Bundaberg, a Sunshine Coast studio and a Newcastle studio that both have pages for Bundaberg businesses, and an online marketplace's Bundaberg estimates, as shown in October 2026.
| Option | Published price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Bundaberg Central designer, single page | $880, GST included | One page with a contact form, map and analytics, plus domain, hosting and a free first year of WordPress maintenance |
| The same designer, complete website | $2,200, GST included | Several pages, including search landing pages, with conversion tracking |
| The same designer, advanced website | $3,300, GST included | Adds an online shop, bookings or member areas |
| The same designer, maintenance plans | From $19 a month, month to month | Backups, plugin and theme updates, security scans and a monthly report; every package includes the first year of maintenance free |
| Bundaberg North studio for tradies, starter | $995 | Up to 3 pages with a contact form, Google reviews and basic search set-up |
| The same studio, business website | $1,995, shown reduced from $2,495 | Up to 10 pages with reviews, a social feed and analytics |
| Sunshine Coast studio with a Bundaberg page | $2,990, $3,990 or $4,990, GST included | 5, 10 or 20 custom-designed pages you can edit yourself |
| The same studio, online stores | $4,990–$7,990 | Store build; hosting, domain, payment processing and maintenance extra |
| Newcastle studio with a Bundaberg page | Websites from $990; managed hosting from $50 a month | Says Bundaberg clients pay its Newcastle prices |
| Marketplace estimate, small business site | $870–$4,350 | 5 to 10 pages, basic search set-up |
| Marketplace estimate, custom site | $3,625–$10,875 | 10 to 20 pages of custom design, with copywriting |
| WebCraft Studio | $399, $899 or $1,499 | One page, up to 3 or up to 8 pages, coded by hand, no GST added |
The marketplace also lists $363–$2,175 for a single landing page and $2,900–$25,375 and up for an online store. It calls all its figures estimates built from regional averages.
Bundaberg rates against the rest of the country
The marketplace says web design rates in Bundaberg run at around $725, against a national average of $1,000. That's lower than the figures it gives for Ballarat ($800) and Canberra ($1,000). The local published prices fit that picture: both Bundaberg-based providers have a small site for under $1,000, while the national cost guide's band for a 5–10 page small business site in Brisbane is $2,000–$6,000.
The providers from elsewhere price closer to that band. The Sunshine Coast studio, which says it has no Bundaberg office, starts at $2,990 for five pages, and the Newcastle studio charges Bundaberg what it charges at home. Bundaberg is more than 350 km north of Brisbane, but none of that distance shows up in a quote, because a website is built and checked on a screen wherever the designer sits.
So the cheapest local price isn't automatically the best value, and the dearest out-of-town studio isn't automatically the most thorough. Compare the page count, who writes the words, what the site costs each year after the first, and whether you can leave with your files.
Comparing prices with GST in and GST out
Two of the providers in the table say their prices include GST; the others don't say. That matters when the numbers are this close together. GST is one-eleventh of a GST-inclusive price, so the $880 single page carries $80 of GST, the $2,200 site carries $200, and the $2,990 package carries about $272.
Whether that GST costs you anything depends on your own registration. Business.gov.au says a business registered for GST can generally claim back the GST included in the price of things it buys for the business, and that registration is required once GST turnover reaches $75,000. If you're registered, the before-GST figure is your real cost. If you're a sole trader under the threshold and not registered, the full price is what you pay. Your accountant can confirm which applies to you.
WebCraft Studio isn't registered for GST, so our prices have none added and there's no GST to claim. A registered business should set our $899 against another provider's before-GST figure; an unregistered one should set it against the full price.
From a Facebook page to a website
The Bundaberg Central designer says many of the local businesses it works with started on Facebook. That's a sensible way to begin, and most of what you've built there carries across: your photos, the way you describe your services, your hours, and the questions customers keep asking in messages.
What a website adds is a page Google can show to people who've never heard of you, an address that belongs to you, and an email address on your own domain instead of a free webmail account. We register the domain in your name for about $20 a year, connect it and set up your business email. Keep the Facebook page going and link the two both ways. Our guide on whether you need a website if you have Facebook covers when a page on its own is enough.
Editing the site yourself, or sending changes in
The Bundaberg Central designer builds on WordPress, and the Sunshine Coast studio's packages include content you can edit yourself. The advantage is control: you can log in and change a price or a photo at 10 pm. The cost is upkeep. A WordPress site's plugins and themes need regular updates, which is what that designer's maintenance plans cover: the first year is free, and plans start at $19 a month, month to month.
Our sites are coded by hand, so there are no plugins to update and no editor to log in to. Changes come to us by email or phone instead, and text and image changes on your existing pages are included in the $30 monthly hosting, with security monitoring and backups. New pages or features are quoted first. If you'd rather make changes yourself every week, a WordPress site may suit you better; our comparison of WordPress and hand-coded sites sets out both sides.
Features that change the price around Bundaberg
Page count sets our price, but a few features come up often in this region and are worth planning for:
- Tours and accommodation. Bundaberg Tourism says turtle season at Mon Repos runs from October to May, with ranger-led encounters from November to March, and it promotes reef trips to the southern Great Barrier Reef. Tour and accommodation operators need dates, prices and a clear way to book. The local $3,300 package adds bookings; we build online booking and payment systems into a site and quote them per job, or link a booking tool you already use.
- Contractors and suppliers to growers. A quote request that asks for the crop, the hectares and the location saves a phone call. Custom forms are part of our up-to-8-page package.
- Producers selling online. Our stores are $799 for up to 25 products with one payment gateway and basic order management, or $1,999 for unlimited products, several payment options, customer accounts and advanced shipping.
Whoever you choose, ask what payment processing, booking software and hosting cost on top of the build. The Sunshine Coast studio, for one, says its store prices don't include them.
Help from Council and the state before you spend
Bundaberg Regional Council renewed its commitment under the Queensland Small Business Friendly Program in 2025, and it delivers that through a small business action plan. Its Economic Development team takes small business enquiries on 1300 883 699.
For digital questions, the federal Digital Solutions program offers free workshops and webinars and up to five hours of one-on-one advice for a small fee, for sole traders and businesses with fewer than 20 full-time-equivalent staff. Business.gov.au names BUSY Business as its Queensland provider. Check current sessions and fees with them. Either is a good place to test what your site needs to do before you ask anyone for a price.
Working with us from Bundaberg
We don't have clients in Bundaberg or the Wide Bay yet. Our Queensland clients include Queensland Dance & Performing Arts at Thorneside on Brisbane's Bayside, whose 12-page site has a class timetable and an online enrolment form, and M.J. Debney Plumbing & Gas, whose single-page site has a 13-photo gallery that swipes on a phone. Michael Debney wrote in his Google review: “They created the site very promptly and cost efficient.”
A Bundaberg project runs by phone and email from our Adelaide office. Queensland doesn't use daylight saving, so from the first Sunday in October to the first Sunday in April our clocks are half an hour ahead of yours, and for the rest of the year you're half an hour ahead of us. It rarely matters: you check the draft link when it suits you, send changes, and pay only once you've approved it. If you don't go ahead, you owe nothing.

Bundaberg website cost questions
How much does a website cost in Bundaberg?
Published Bundaberg prices start at $880 for a single page and $995 for up to three pages, run to $1,995–$2,200 for a fuller local site, and reach $2,990–$4,990 from a Sunshine Coast studio. A marketplace estimates $870–$4,350 for a 5–10 page site. Ours are $399, $899 or $1,499, with no GST added.
Do Bundaberg website prices include GST?
Some do and some don't say. Two providers state their prices include GST; ask the others in writing. If your business is registered for GST, compare before-GST figures, since registered businesses can generally claim back the GST on business purchases. Our prices have no GST because we aren't registered for it.
Can customers book tours or accommodation through our site?
Yes. We build online booking and payment systems into a site and quote them per job once we know how your tours, rooms or departures work, or we link a booking tool you already use from every page.
We only have a Facebook page. What do we need to get started?
Your words and photos, which you can often take straight from the page, plus a list of services and the areas you cover. We register a domain in your name for about $20 a year, set up business email, and help with a logo at no charge if you don't have one.
Can we update the site ourselves?
Not with our sites, because they're coded by hand rather than built in an editor. Instead, text and image changes on your existing pages are included in the $30 monthly hosting: email us what to change. If you want to edit daily, a WordPress site may suit you better.
Do you have clients in Bundaberg?
Not yet. Our current clients are in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, including a dance school on Brisbane's Bayside and a Queensland plumber. Everyone outside Adelaide works with us by phone and email, which is how a Bundaberg project would run.
