Torrensville lies about 3 km west of the Adelaide city centre, in the City of West Torrens. Its post office opened in 1879 as New Thebarton and took the Torrensville name in 1909, and from 1883 the suburb belonged to the Town of Thebarton, which rejoined West Torrens in 1997. Henley Beach Road is the commercial spine, lined with cafes and restaurants, with the Thebarton Theatre at number 112. Behind it, Brickworks Marketplace opened in 2015 on the old Hallett brickworks site, anchored by Woolworths and keeping the heritage-listed Hoffman kiln chimney.
West Torrens Council launched its Henley Beach Road Visioning Project in February 2024, and more than 400 people gave feedback. The aim is a stronger main street, which the council describes as a "cosmopolitan boulevard that celebrates a unique blend of cultures". Jervois Street has already been rebuilt with wider footpaths, and a traffic and parking study is part of the plan. If you trade on the road, getting there and parking are the first things a new customer checks, so a good site answers both plainly, near the top.
The census shows who those customers are. Of the 4,110 people counted in Torrensville in 2021, 14.8% reported Greek ancestry and 13.3% Italian, and 11.0% speak Greek at home, against a Greek ancestry share of 2.3% across South Australia. Cafes and restaurants employ 4.8% of working residents, more than twice the state figure of 2.2% and second only to hospitals. For a family restaurant or a Greek-speaking accountant, that often means a site that lists the languages you speak, shows the menu as real text rather than a photo of a PDF, and lets older customers ring with one tap.

Club One (SA) is a not-for-profit holding South Australia's only Special Club Licence. It returns gaming machine revenue to community clubs and to sport and recreation groups, and its website gives a Torrensville postal address. We built its seven-page site: a four-part online grant application, board profiles, a page that explains gaming machine entitlements, a contact form and tap-to-call on every page.
